@SaraiRayne your song is Everything is Cool by NeverShoutNever
@Storybraniac your song is Hurricane by Brigit Mendler. The idea is to take a song and base a poem off of it in some way. Please don't turn the song into a poem.
@ERZA your song is Rebel Beat by the Goo Goo Dolls.
@Strange, your song is The Distance by CAKE

hey, I am interested in the contest as well. Nothing modern or pop. While I'd be content with any good classic rock song, I'd probably like to do some Floyd. You can pick though. THere's more to them than just Dark Side of the Moon

Me, me, me! I'd love to do this. I love The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, Kate Nash, Florence + the Machine, Lily Allen, and Never Shout Never. Pretty much anything not country, really.

@Spotswood I"M SOOOOOO SORRY!!! I didn't see your response till now O_O Hmmmmm, not modern. Well, I don't see this being your thing, but I'm going to give you Bohemian Rhapsody by Mnozil Brass. It's a bit.....different. If you don't like it I can change it! Most people think it's really weird...
@rhiasofia HIIII! I've been seeing you everywhere lately! Your song is Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles.
Okay, at long last here's my entry. It's on the song Secrets by One Republic. I tried to make it a villanelle, don't know how well that went though.
Flakes
My skin is just flakes Shrouding the secrets that make me whole - So, from the truth, I can continue to escape.
Metamorphosing at every chance I can take, I reform myself because I know My skin is just flakes.
With each new persona, each new mask I create; After every shedding, every bleeding of my secrets: I feel hope- So, from the truth, I can continue to escape.
My fear of being forgotten, becoming the ordinary, the sane - Helps keep my facade on, as my soul disintegrates. I still go on, though My skin is just flakes.
This honest dishonesty has kept me from becoming a forgotten fate. All the secrets they would hurdle to hear, keep me from getting bored. So, from the truth, I can continue to escape.
Sometimes, even I doubt all my pretense. Now it's become all I hate. And as a somebody, who is a real nobody I roam. My skin is just flakes, So, from the truth, I can continue to escape.
