I have decided to make a contest for all you wonderful poets out there.

DEADLINE/ENTERING

The deadline is September 15 2017. To enter your poem simply post it here, or you can PM it to Kays and I.

You can write any genre of poetry to want.


RULES

The only rules are no swearing in your poem and please don't include any inappropriate content. I also ask that you edit your poem completely before entering it in the contest.

JUDGING

Kays and I will be judging the contest.
Please remember quality over quantity.

@Midnightmoon you can post it here. But if you don't want others to read it you can send it as a PM.

@Kays As part a of the prize I will publish the poem in the Literary section. So the winner will get 1000 points plus have their winning poem published for free, that is if they want it published.

@snowmonkey9 I'm willing to pitch in another 200 points so that they're able to post the poem on their own (but I'd be willing to donate more to the cause for a larger prize)! c:

That is very kind of you. I have 1200 points so I can at least 1000 points. The other 200 I can either keep so I can publish it myself as a judge or I can add it to the prize so they can publish it. What do you think best?

I kind of wanted too have a 2nd and 3rd place prize but I didn't have enough points.

How about 2500, 1500, and 500? I can donate the other 1500 to first place and the others to second and third place. I certainly have enough to and it's not an issue because I'm able to get them back quite easily. That'd give 1st place more than enough to publish the poem on their own and it's a bigger prize!

Of course, that's only if you're okay with that! No pressure. I just love me some poetry contests and I'd love to contribute the the cause.

That would be awesome. When I was thinking about having an assistant judge I kind of wanted to ask you since you are so good and know a lot about poetry but I decided to let people volunteer instead of bothering them by asking and making them feel presured to accept the offer. Thank you so much! Your the best!
