NaNo is coming up, and you'd better be prepared! Each year, YWS mods host pre-NaNo workshops in October to get all participants in-gear for the oncoming storm that is 50,000 words in 30 days. This year, we've upped our ante and have prepared FOUR October Workshops!
Question: What can we workshop that'll help for NaNo?
Answer: If you've ever hit writer's block only to break it after reading, then you'll get the gist of our workshops. We believe that preparing yourself with inspiration and references can help make the month go much smoother, and get you that much closer to victory! Looking into the sources of inspiration and referencing the greats that came before us, we believe we can conquer the beast and have some health points left over for bonus points. @Lumi and @Rosey%20Unicorn take on this monumental task in a no-time-limit workshop on October 20th, beginning at 2pm EST.
Question: So that's one workshop. What's the next?
Answer: Descriptive Writing. Breaking down every element of your writing form to give you the best out of your descriptions, getting rid of old cliches, and throwing fresh, unique images into your work will be within your reach after @Lauren2010 takes you through her Descriptive Writing Workshop. This workshop will take place on October 13th; the time hasn't been set yet, but you can believe this will be one not to miss!
Question: And the third?
Answer: Our ace in the hole for when all else fails: Outlining Your Plot. If you can organize your thoughts ahead of time, accessing them vs. brainstorming becomes a simple game of pick-and-choose. If you know where you're going, you'll find the quickest way there. This workshop will be hosted by
