Well... For right now, they really don't have a purpose that I'm aware of. They used to help the mods and admins decide who should be member of the month, but we changed the system. For now, just consider them a reward for posting and reviewing work. :)

They're also a good gauge for how much you participate. So get crackin on those reviews. I posted this interesting piece called "Going out at night" that I'm reading at the next Open Mic if this other thing I have planned for that day doesn't happen.

Actually, I remember Nate saying that the system has been changed back and the points HELP very minamaly in the desishon of MOM, but i'm not sure, you'd proably know more then me about it so what i'm doing here is a mystery to me...
