hahah you might be on to something there. But hey at least this means I'm easily amused

haha see this is precisely what I cannot do xD jk, if you'd asked me the first time I woke up this morning then I wouldn't have anything at all to tell you because all the most recent ones I've had are, as usual, stressful. But during my nap I dreamed that I was with my old boss and one of my old coworkers who I didn't realize how badly I missed until this dream haha we were at a scientific conference joking around and it was nice

So you can see that there is a kind of longing. For something solid, a construct that lies in the past. Why do people look into the past? Because it happened. There is nothing new to experience anymore that gives one a sense of security. A security that comes from repeating memories. But this security goes deeper and penetrates the subconscious. It is your desire to return to that time.

I had two dreams that night that I can still remember. The first was a strange transformation between teenage worry of an exam mixed with a Minecraft-like world and I was somehow dressed like the witch Kiki from the movie of the same name and then flying around on a broom. I handed out printouts of my chapters under the doors, only realising later that they were still uncorrected and had my notes. Afterwards, I was in a cave with others. xD Sigmund Freud, tell me what that means.
The second dream was in a coastal town somewhere in the north, because it wasn't warm, with a long beach in a bay. It looked like it might be in a fjord too. I had a house a little further up the wooded hill and went down to the beach where there was a snack bar where an elderly Japanese lady was selling products at extortionate prices. I definitely wrote down and drew the coastal town so I could use it in a story later.
