So y’know that awesome storybook I’ll be releasing in a couple of weeks?
Well, now you do.

Previously I've said:

Fellow YWSers, I present to you...

The Storybook Guessing Game!

Image

During these next two weeks I shall be posting hints of what the storybook will be about on both my wall (profile/therealme) and on here. Things like images, quotes, links to youtube songs, etc. (all to do with the theme) are to be expected.

Your job is to guess the theme of the storybook and/or what it includes. Such as:
    - Time/Era (e.g. modern-day, future etc.)
    - Setting/Place (e.g. village, beach town etc.)
    - Genre (e.g. Fantasy, Horror etc.)
    - Species existing (e.g. humans, werewolves etc.)
    - Scenes Involved (e.g. underwater scene, war scene etc.)
    - And other stuff!
Bonus points to those who can guess the plot of the storybook (though I doubt you’ll be able to  )

Anyone is allowed to guess! There will even be prizes given at the end to those who are closest to getting it right! The idea of this game is to build awareness of the storybook, and hopefully interest people in participating in it once it is released.

Please let me know if you are keen on playing this guessing game. If not that many people are interested I won’t bother.

Cool! People are interested :)

@Carina @lostthought @Judas could I ask you guys a super amazing favour? *puppy-dog eyes*

If you could tag everyone let other YWSers who you think would be interested know about this I will love you forever ^_^

Also @Lapis, because you commented and liked my post, is it possible for you to do the same (because you love me and I'm giving you no choice)? ;)

If you all can it would mean the world to me <3

HINT #1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb5UZx3zyKI

Spoiler! :
A quick hint for the hints: Be fully aware of what I give you. If I give you lyrics instead of the music video it probably means you should pay attention to the lyrics. If I give you a scene for a movie or something focus on the visual as well as the audio.

Start guessing!

Well, as far as I can tell the song might be Disco, so it could take place in about the 1970's

So

Time/Era: 1970's
Setting/Place: Space
Genre: Sci-Fi?
Species involved: Aliens, Humans
Scenes involved: Mass kidnapping of humans?

Plot:
Spoiler! :
You were in the middle of nowhere when suddenly you saw an UFO. Some strange figures kidnapped you and placed you in dark and empty cell. You can see other people in different cells.

You and the other people are trying to escape. You can either be the aliens, or you can be the humans.

Not a bad song. :o

But anyways, I think it's deeper than UFO sightings and abductions, since that might be too obvious of an answer. Rather, the SB would be about its theme: being far away from home, not knowing where they are or how they even got there, disbelief, rationalization, denial, immense confusion, and loss of hope.

So I'm going to take a wild guess. I think the SB would involve two places, with the first place being their modern-day hometown and the other place being some unfamiliar setting (different city, country, continent, even planet). How did they get there, I'm not sure. Maybe they time-traveled, maybe they just woke up, maybe they were chosen, or maybe they were really abducted.

I found these lines kinda important:
- In my hand there's a pulse of my beat he-he heart
- I'm biting my tongue there's a plastic man on the telephone
- Can you see the bright light? Shining, I don't know
- And whats it gonna take to get me back home tonight
- And tell me this is all good, and you say, I don't know
- I'm very, very far from home.

Plastic man? omg what if it's Slenderman

/end guess xD

Wait, do we guess after each hint? If so, do we have to guess after each hint?

Since it's not otherwise said, I think there's no limit to how many guesses you have. So with each hint, you have a chance of getting something right, so might as well take a shot, right? :)
