Being a writer and all, I often run into trouble when I want to edit my work or find what's wrong with it.

This book saved my life! (Okay, figuratively, but you get my point.)

Easy to read, and in some parts, humorous approach to the submission process from the view of the agent or editor. This has a lot of good information in it, and as the title suggests, helps you with your opening pages. I know I am not the only who thinks beginning a story is the hardest part.

Very good book. Let it save your live (figuratively).

I bought this book for a friend. I read the beginning of it in Barnes & Noble once after seeing it recommended somewhere and even reading just the first chapter or so helped me! Good stuff. =)
If only you could see
How heaven stills when you speak
I know all your days
And I have wrapped you in mystery
