she looked at melody, her eyes were empty and she didn't seem to be there at all, her hands shook and she walked past melody silently, looking at the time, starting to walk towards the elevator

Melody watched Ai as she moved past her, walking briskly. The glitch's brain spasmed oddly--she couldn't seem to process exactly what was happening. Ai pressed the elevator button and it dinged almost immediately--the doors slid open.
"Ai! Wait!" Melody scooped up the discarded electronics, hurrying after the girl. "Where are you going?"

her eyes narrowed all she had going through her mind were the three words melody said to her before she left, she looked off to the side ignoring melody, she didn't wanna talk to anyone at all, she pressed the button to close the doors and the elevator doors shut

Melody stopped as the elevator doors began to close. Ai's eyes glared at her from between the shiny metal plates, boiling with anger. Then the doors shut, and she was gone.
Melody crumpled to her knees, hot tears collecting on the edges of her eyes. The electronics tumbled from her arms, bouncing off her legs and scattering around the hallway. She leaned her forehead against the cold metal doors, static shifting around her body. But her grief was cut short when the building began to shake. The glitch looked around in horror as the floor rolled beneath her, moving like the waves of the ocean. A deep rumbling growled somewhere below, and the hallway shuddered like a leaf in the wind. Melody pulled herself to her feet, eyes wheeling from side to side.
If this is another Warper quake, there should be a boundary somewhere... She thought, staring down the hallway. But there was no edge in sight. She stood there for a moment, contemplating, before turning and running to the left. She screeched around the corner, hoping for an exit. But the floor was just as unstable as it had been in front of the elevator.
She continued her run, reaching the steps and making her way down. As she descended, one of the boards snapped beneath her foot, sending her plummeting to the ground. She managed to catch herself on the railing, but the splintered board made a deep gash on her hip. Blood ran down her leg, dripping onto the carpet below. But there was no time to address the wound--the ground buckled and lurched, pulling the staircase with it. Melody hauled herself up, carefully removing her leg from the gap. Holding her hand to her hip she limped the rest of the way down, warm blood gushing between her fingers.

her head shot up, she shook her head and ran out of the elevator, her right eye glitched a blue color, she then ran up the stairs back to the 2nd floor, once she made it, she plugged her nose the stench of blood, not my favorite.. she then saw a trail of blood and followed it, something was familiar, her mind may be clouded with emotion, but she knew someone was in danger, she followed the trail of blood, the floor unsteady under her feet

Melody spotted Jamie by the door. He was holding onto Ethan, who seemed to be having some sort of seizure. The boy's eyes had gone completely black, and his body twitched violently as Jamie pulled him toward the door.
"Come on...the building's going to collapse!" Jamie gritted his teeth, yanking on Ethan's arm. "God, you're way too strong for someone as skinny as you..."
Melody limped over, pushing Ethan from behind. He seemed surprised at her appearance, allowing Jamie to shove him outside. Melody followed them, moving as quickly as she could.
"What's happening to him?" She asked.
"I don't know, he got all weird when the earthquake hit," Jamie replied, pushing the other boy in front of him. The street outside was full of panicked people, running back and forth over the vibrating sidewalk. "He won't talk, and he won't--cooperate!"
Jamie gave Ethan a shove, and he wheeled around, aiming a punch at Jamie's face. He caught Ethan's wrist and whirled him around, holding his arms behind his back like a criminal being arrested. Melody kneeled down for a moment, the pain in her hip turning severe. It was deep and full of splinters, wriggling their way into her exposed flesh. Almost the entire right side of her pants was soaked in blood, and it didn't look like it was going to stop anytime soon.
"My god, what happened to you?" Jamie asked, trying to lean closer while subduing Ethan at the same time.
"The stair broke," Melody flinched as she dabbed at the wound with the edge of her hoodie. "Part of it scraped me."
"That looks bad. Like, bleeding out bad. We need to take you to a hospital."
"Is there one nearby?"
"I...don't know--holy shit, STAY STILL!" Jamie shoved Ethan to the ground, holding him down with his foot. "I need some sort of rope or something to tie him up, otherwise he's gonna run off to who-knows-where."
Melody rubbed her face with one hand. "Where the hell are we gonna find rope?"

she found the others quite quickly, she went over to them and got in front of ethan, she then pulled out a first aid kit and handed it to jamie, she then pulled out some rope, tying ethans hands and legs together keeping him still, she then looked at the both of them, silent

"What are you doing here?" Jamie growled, kneeling beside Melody.

she ignored the glare she got, her head then shot up to the ceiling, she then looked behind the others, there was a door, she then quickly pushed them to the door, getting trapped behind the fallen ceiling

Melody saw the shadow and felt Ai's push--she lurched forward, wincing as fresh blood ran down her leg.

she made sure they were safe which was the most she could do before escaping through a window while the building was falling apart, she wasn't fazed by the damage, she didn't grab anything from the school, its been a week since she left, melody nor the others looked happy to see her, so, she just ran from the building to another place to live

Melody leaned against the wall, gasping for breath. Jamie ran over, clutching the first-aid kit.
"Are you hurt?"
"No more than before. Are there any bandages in there?"
"...Yes," Jamie opened the kit warily. "I don't know if it's safe to use them, given that they came from Ai..."
"Just do it," Melody hissed. "I'm literally bleeding out."
Jamie pressed one of the medical pads to her wound, wrapping the compression cloth around her waist to keep it in place.
"There. Do you think that'll hold until we find a hospital?"
"Yeah," Melody pulled herself to her feet, moving her leg around experimentally. "We need to find out what's going on with Ethan, too..."
She looked down at the boy, who curled up on the ground, glaring up at them with his all-black eyes.
Suddenly, the ground beneath them surged, the pavement splitting into great webbed cracks. As Melody watched, they began to fill with some sort of grey, staticy liquid. She looked at Jamie.
"They're coming."

she stopped and saw the staticy liquid oozing out "how annoying.." she put her hand on the ground and the cracks began to close and the ooze seemed to scream in agony, it burns them, her powers burn the warped in the most painful way, she doesn't even know what she is either and after a few seconds the cracks sealed shut

after the cracks sealed she heard footsteps coming her way and looked around, on guard "hello, whos there?" it was dark out so, she couldn't see very well

Lumino walked towards Ai, his footsteps echoing around her. "Don't worry, im not going to damage you." he said as he came into light, his eyes seemingly glowing red. "I would like to tag along with you if its okay, its better than staying alone."
