"You're right, that was in poor taste," she acknowledged.

Maggie grunts.

Though it wasn't exactly like tensions were rising, it was clear to Soul that the group of people making their way down to the basement were far from chummy with it. Accidentally adding to the already tense feelings was something that he wanted to avoid doing. Additionally, Zogin was probably dying to know more about what exactly the plan entailed - though she was stubbornly staying silent because of her earlier argument with Maggie.

"I know that we're heading down to the basement and leaving through an exit that's there, but what are we doing after that?" he questioned. "You said that we can't fight them, and it seems like they aren't up to talking with us either. So what can we do?"

"We can find the time paradox," Maggie answers. "As long as we can get to Bendy and Chino before they see us, we're good. Bendy's an expert on time paradoxes."

"A time paradox?" Zogin repeated, speaking up for the first time in several minutes. She recognized the phrasing, but the context was what made things difficult to comprehend. Time paradoxes were a theoretical concept that only a few people actually cared about in Medium, and she couldn't see how one could actually be in existence. "Like the parent paradox?"

At the blank looks of some of the others, Soul chimed in with an explanation. "Imagine you could time travel and go back to when your parents were kids. If you accidentally killed them then, you wouldn't be around. But if you weren't around, you wouldn't have killed them. It's an endless cycle that you can't break out of it, but it's also something that's a mystery to everyone from where we're from."

Bo stared blankly at Soul, having been a quiet observer this whole time.

"Oh."

"Yes, that's how time paradoxes work," Maggie said.

Sacred pays mind to the conversation behind him, making sure to remember the concept of time paradoxes for later visits among Imaginary Existence, for he frequents a method of time travel constantly.

"Oi, what would happen if I Loaded my State?" he asks, looking back to the group.

"Loaded your what?" Chris asked.

Zogin looked over at Sacred, intrigued by what he had just said. She had never heard of something like that before, but it seemed to be a powerful weapon. It could possibly be a way to give them an upper hand against the angels. "Could you elaborate on that?" she eagerly said.

Bo made a face, the first thing to come to mind being toilet related when he tried to figure out what Sacred meant by loading his... state. He looked to Sacred for an explanation.

My State - my state of existence prior to now. In anticipation of something going awry, I saved my State of being some time ago, about last night. It's not quite time travel, moreso a literal frame in which I pop myself backwards in my existence with all my memories. If I were to be shot now and know who shot me, I could go back to before I got shot and kill that person without a second thought. I'm asking, because it may or may not count as a time paradox to move through time, convert it to a new format, then change it back after restoring myself in another one. That's all," he shrugs, his attempts at avoiding sounding conceited now failing harder than expected.
