SO! I was up late on Christmas eve drawing a picture. I meant to get to bed early, I really did, but it was turning out so well, and I was so intrigued. These pictures make me want to write like, a steampunk novel. Anyway, The two men were the ones I drew on Christmas eve night, and the lady I drew with my new watercolor pencils c: Have the originals, the photoshopped versions, and the photoshopped version where I stuck the lady in with the men. c:
Please don't look at their feet. Their feet suck XD Also the little black cloud was a mistake so don't mind that either.
Originals:
Spoiler! :
Photoshopping. Sometimes photoshopping makes things better, in this case, I'm torn. I could have probably photoshopped this more to my liking, but it's too late now. I think I just made it a little blurrier than it should have been.
Spoiler! :
(yes, I could have put more time into the background but ehhh)
Group shot!
Spoiler! :
Those two in front have very similar little flips in their cape, but that's because when I drew the man's first, I realized I really liked how it looked, so I copied it for the lady.

Art history eggs this Easter! I had a ton of fun with these. And I like the metaphor of history being like the egg, the start point for something new, better, bigger.

This is charcoal and acrylic. My scanner isn't as big as the canvas though, so all sides are cropped about an inch.
acrylic and paper inclusion
This is the darkened background of that thing I posted earlier.
Not the greatest picture, but. This is a GIANT kite. It's taller than I am. It's based off of art history. The little see-through bits in the Mondrian sections are made of that see-though colored very thin plastic stuff you put in gift baskets sometimes? For the life of me, I can't remember what it's called. The kite is a couple inches taller than I am. I think it's about six feet tall? Probably a little shorter. The impressionistic parts are done in oil pastel.
And here are some pretty pictures I took recently
Spoiler! :
rainnnn
A pretty sunset I was messing around with my camera about.

I should take the time to edit these pictures so they look nice, but that ain't likely gonna happen any time soon. Either you see why I took the picture or you don't.
Spoiler! :
These pictures were taken at yellowstone national park
panorama
Spoiler! :
These pictures were not taken at yellowstone. They were taken elsewhere.
Spoiler! :
Yeah, that's a biiiiig dump of photos, I know. Sorry. I just had so many good ones I wanted to share!

I've been doing these things recently on a free drawing app on my phone. It doesn't even have a paint bucket tool, but it does have the capacity to insert a photo, and I draw over that. But the photo layer is deleted at the end, so none of this is the original pixels of the photo. I took all the photos except for the guy with green hair and the brown guy, which obviously didn't have a picture to go with it. I added some stuff to the owl and sunset pictures.

window decorations from halloween. You're looking at the back side of it, but you know, you can still tell what it is. There were more but I guess the pic didn't upload
and a hand I drew for good measure

It looks like ALL of the pictures I posted with Photobucket have now been zapped.
Makes me very sad. Photobucket's more of a virus in website form now than anything. I'm just sad because either it'll take a lot of grunt work to reupload everything, or this thread will continue to look... abandoned, I guess.
Anyway
I made a glowcloud.
You want to make one too? -Paper Lantern -Stuffing -Fairy Lights (the kind that don't get hot.) -Clear fishing line (for hanging purposes) -Hot glue gun with a lot of refills :p -Skeleton (for stylish photoshoots) Put these ingredients together in the way that makes the most sense. Pretty straight-forward Don't burn your hands.
