Ahh! This is a really really cool photo. I love the repeated lines- there's visual rhythm created by the parallels. The upright rectangles of the shutters reflect the disrupted horizontal dark rectangle that frames the statue.

The statue itself is approximately a third in- good use of the rule of thirds. The low angle makes her feel grandiose.

The colors are rich and saturated, and the contrast with the dark shadows is just lovely.

I would maybe crop the photo slightly to cut out some of the visual information with the signs on the pillar, but I'm not one hundred percent. That half of the photo is quite busy compared to the other half, but maybe that's just part of its charm.
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.

There are those who say that life is like a book, with chapters for each event in your life and a limited number of pages on which you can spend your time. But I prefer to think that a book is like a life, particularly a good one, which is well to worth staying up all night to finish.
