“She did a mistake in her order of operations.”

Suddenly the room went dead silent, which is actually pretty funny, because we were in hell and everything thing was dead, if you wanted to be technical about it.

“Um... hi,” I said. Mind you, I sounded totally lame and everything, but for some reason, I decided that a little hello would somehow make her stop looking at me like she wanted to eat me, which is totally what she was doing now.

“YOU DID A MISTAKE IN YOUR ORDER OF OPERATIONS??” she bellowed, in all capital letters and with an obscene amount of punctuation, as you can plainly see. “YOU DID A MISTAKE IN YOUR ORDER OF OPERATIONS????? HOW COULD YOU????????”

This was so totally not turning out the way I wanted it to. I tried to smile and be nice about it, but then she picked up a pencil and pointed at my chest. “I CHALLENGE YOU TO A POKEMON BATTLE!” Once more, she said it in all capital letters, as previously mentioned. I stared at her.

“A what?” I said.

“YES! TAKE HER INTO THE POKECHAMBERS,” she said to the other guys.

What the fuzz? XD

Hehe, I love it, Snoink!

(Actually, pressing one’s finger to one’s lips is not the universal gesture for silence; in one tribe of warlike stone-age Galeaohadd warriors on the planet Nurfos, which is in orbit around the star which we on Earth call NG 4796302 Omicron, and which the Galeaohadds call Xrchyl, it means “my dear fellow Galeaohadd, if you do not hand me that forfonn melon within a length of time which I deem reasonable, I am afraid it will have to be terrible war between your family and my family for the next seventeen generations.” Needless to say, the Galeohadds, though always unfailingly polite, are a very touchy sort of people who will take any excuse for a very long and arduous battle. Regardless, the gesture of touching one’s finger to one’s lips as a gesture for quiet is universal enough for our purposes here, and it’s the only gesture for silence that Simeon knew, though the Galeaohadds have several which have different threats of varying degrees attached. But of course Simeon had absolutely no knowledge of the Galeaohadds.)
This is my tribute to Douglas Adams. No, of course it's not just there because it's got 176 words and is therefore good for the word count. And of course the other-planet thing is completely relevant to the fantasy story! And of course I can pronounce "Xrchyl!"

“No…I have tempted myself. All my life I have been a good follower, but here, in this place, I have come to doubt it all. … If Jehovah does not watch over those who die here, and makes an effort to save them, than I must already be condemned for being behind the walls of this camp. No sin could send me to hell, because there is no God to punish me for the sin.”

Having finished her statement, she felt bolder. She stood on the tips of her toes—for Armin was taller than her—and pressed her lips to his own.

OH GOD. THIS IS HIDEOUS. XD

No, but seriously, how could you die in hell? It didn’t make any sense, and perhaps she knew it, because when she saw my skeptical face, she just frowned and then, in an attempt to seem more evil than she actually (probably) was, she let out a howl of maniacal laughter.

“BWHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!” she said.

Which is actually kind of useless, but evil characters in stories, especially evil psychotic characters, which she definitely was, are supposed to laugh in the story to the hero before confronting a challenge that involves dueling which inevitably leads to the hero, or heroine (me) in this case, winning the battle and humiliating the villain (her) entirely so that she is reduced to tears. And of course, she has to swear revenge on me or something silly like that, but I don’t mind.

“What’s your name again?” I said carefully. It was best to talk carefully to evil maniacal characters who laugh a total of three and six hundred ninety words.

She smiled. “I’m your dear Aunt Sally.”

Uh oh...

...It's character development... honest! XD

Never play Guitar Hero and then switch to an hour of typing. Stuff like this will happen:

I momentarily considered correcting him, my mouth opening to speak, but I whouthg better of it and closed my mouth again.

It was supposed to be "thought." How did I get a W in there? O.o

This scene is boring and I don’t feel like writing it right now, so I’ll return when I need more words and actually feel like writing it, and I’m very glad I didn’t pick Small Landslides as my NaNo, because obviously it doesn’t hold my interest. Sorry, Jehk love, but your scene will have to wait.

Suffice it to say, they kissed.

Erm... yeah. The scene was too long already.

This is my favorite, though:

You will get your revenge in the end.

And she did, in more than one way. The end. Or not, seeing as how I still have twenty-four thousand words left.

Only a paragraph later, too.

You don't think it was a frustrating day of writing, do you? ;)

Mrs. Mills [insert couch here]

This... was on a line all by itself, in the middle of a big empty space. And I still can't figure out what I was trying to say?

Everything around him didn’t seem real; it was like he had just stepped into a painting of his surroundings, and even though everything in the painting existed and was tangible, it just wasn’t as real as it should have been.

*snorts*

My most recent NaNo involved the phrase "a kick was delivered."

Only, I transposed a couple of the first letters.

*snickers again* Funnily enough, it was sort of a metaphor for what had already happened and foreshadowing for another event...

I'm seriously becoming dyslexic.

I wrote a sentence earlier today that was supposed to read:

"I took the top [etc.]"

But it somehow became:

"I took the pot."

...So much for removing the lid on a shoebox full of childhood memories. xD
