Got a poem or short story you want me to critique?

There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way, and not to give others absurd maddening claims upon it. (C D Morley)

I like my name, for the most part. The only time I'm unhappy with it is when it's paired with my title. "Lady L'ira" just sounds corny. But my mother had to deal with the same problem. She was "Lady Lee'in". ~L'ira Cyrok

Word association time. When I say "starlight" what do you think of?

Arranged marriage? Hell... No. I'll probably never marry. I can't be romantic, I'm too... un-ladylike, sarcastic, tomboyish, busy... take your pick! Plus that involves too much paperwork and I'm pretty sure there are no priests in the core, or the fringes of the organization even. And it is prefered that no one, especially not I, be associated with anyone outside of our group. ~ Kyra Domelain

What's your worst fear?
The sadness drains through me rather than skating over my skin. It travels through every cell to reach the ground. I filter it yet strangely enough, I keep what was pure and it is the dirt that leaves.

Immortality? I'm not sure I want that. I don't think I could bear watching the people around me die as I remain on. Living forever would kill me. Hehe.~ Jack Motty
