So Far...(This is a sequel)
Following the events on The XX Demeter, situations devolved from bad to worse. In a last-ditch effort for survival, Rachell and Hayden exploited a dangerous technique that jump-started both engines of their fighter craft. While returning, they encountered a surprising face--their Captain, nearly dead, drifting in space. In brilliant expertise, they transported the three back to the ship.

Roan was swiftly revived and given command back over the ship after receiving a briefing on the dire circumstances.

Uniting the remaining living, each civilian was given a weapon in order to combat the mysterious threat still on-board. Corpses were placed into the ship’s cooler for preservation.

The ship caught itself in an internal battle with an invisible opponent.

Eventually, only a few remained. The Captain pulled a ploy in the darkest hour and barricaded the remaining living away from the ship while he combated the assassin himself.

Days passed, and all hope was lost. However, as was his style, Roan, wounded and nearing death, returned triumphantly.

Plot:
After finding out the XX Demeter gone missing, The Zeus goes out specially to find it, following the trail in space via superb navigation, they arrive where they see a once proud vessel crippled. Captain Archibald Crane is furious.

Our story begins in the Medical Ward just after Roan’s triumph.

Setting:

Name: Shaun Paladin
Rank/Roll: Bar Owner
Age: 26
Gender: Male (Homosexual)
Character Quote: 'I persuaded her to come with me. I said it would be an adventure. And boy was I right.'
Theme-song: None currently

Appearance: 6'0" A broad shouldered hunk of a man with a clean shaven face and curly, brown hair. His eyes are a handsome, dark blue and his features are softly sensual but masculine.

Personality: Shaun is smooth and confident and has the ability to hold more than one conversation at once. However, he's also a closed book. He loves to talk about other people and comes across as a caring, protective man. He likes to gamble, he loves making bets, he loves money, men, even flirting with the odd girl though they don't take his fancy. Sorry ladies but this is a package purely for the men.

Strengths: He's a friendly, casual man who doesn't let anything worry him and who loves to be surrounded by a crowd almost as much as he loves those sexy one on one conversations. Shaun spends a lot of time bantering with his customers and is well known for keeping a safe and sociable bar. The glasses are clean, the drinks are skillfully mixed before your eyes and if the patrons can't keep their hands to themselves, they'll have to face the journey stone cold sober.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Shaun has a soft spot for good looking men and is impulsive and reckless. He doesn't think before acting, doesn't take care of himself.

History/Background: There's nothing much to say. What little Shaun gives away hints of a life of excitement but who knows, maybe that's just a cover or maybe it's not. What is known is that he boarded the ship with his younger sister who has just turned 20 and works as one of his staff. Pretty little thing with a slim figure, dark hair and lovely blue eyes. Goes by the name of Imogen. So off limits. Trust me.

Name: Rex Verde

Rank/Roll: Chief Mechanic

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Character Quote: Yes sir!

Theme-song: (Working on it)

Appearance
: He’s slightly on the short side, with a bandana hiding the colour of his hair, and a pair of goggles on his head. He generally frowns and is mostly expressionless. His left eye is a hazel colour but the right is solid brown.

Personality: Rex fits well into the stereotype of a military dog. He follows orders strictly, and usually won’t get involved in anything unless ordered or invited. When given a choice to make he searches his mind for memorised protocols to follow. He's overly fond of formalities, and thinks of the world from a very mechanical perspective, including society, people and emotions.
When he has no instruction, or when engaging in general conversation, he’s as hopeless and awkward as a lost teenager. Even though deep down he knows that his way of living is shallow, he won't venture outside his comfort zone without being promted or forced to.

Strengths: His main strength is that he is logical, and can visualise things clearly in his head. He's naturally inquisitive about how something works and how to boost its performance. If something is reparable, he can repair it, and if not he can turn it into something else. He knows a lot about mechanics, physics and chemistry, and brief knowledge of basic combat and flight training. He’s very obedient, and won’t hesitate to get his hands dirty if commanded - he gets on with things as swiftly as possible, and doesn't complain about the tasks he is given.

Flaws/Weaknesses:
Mentally, Rex follows orders like a robot, so his sense of morality is somewhat warped. He bases his morality on what the rulebook inside his head says, which means he can't always be trusted to make the right decisions on his own, especially if it involves human life.
Physically, his right eye was injured in an accident, so his depth perception is a little off, and he can’t see things that come from his right. This is something he works hard to avoid people finding out - a deception that is the only contradiction to his inner rulebook.

History/Background:
Rex was picked up by the straight out of university after his theoretical model of a new ship engine turned out to be of great interest to the military. Being in advanced classes growing up, training in university and employed straight after it, Rex never had the chance to complete the final stage of adolecence, and so never fully discovered a definate sense of identity.
He lost the vision in his right eye while working on a project in university. It was a simple mistake due to cutting corners on his part, which only increased his dependency on instruction and protocol. He never informed his superiors of the accident or consequence.
We were born to be amazing.

Anabelle's Profile will be here soon.

Edit: Profile.

Name: Annabelle Sloane.

Rank/Roll: Bar staff.

Age: 19.

Gender: Female.

Character Quote: "Whatever works, but doesn't kill us."

Theme-song: All I know - Karnivool.

Appearance: Tall, about 5'5, with shoulder length, dark brown hair, pale green eyes and fair skin. She looks kind but appears distant since she's not keen on the whole social thing. Often seen wearing black jeans and a dark red peasant top, and a cross around her neck.

Personality: Anabelle is quiet and shy, gets nervous pretty quickly and is a bit of an ice queen. She doesn't like crowds and is a little anti-social, preferring to be alone than amongst a large group but will speak her mind if she has to. Since the incident that killed her brother, she . Anabelle works in the bar-which she can handle doing-and is Scottish. Unlike her brother, she no longer has accent.

Strengths: Level headed, can handle anyone drunk. Can cook.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Can't handle crowds, is a little anti-social. Get nervous quickly and can't handle anyone talking about her brother.

History/Background: Grew up with her brother in Scotland and when the chance to go into space came up, she gave up pretty much everything to go do so. Like Alex, Anabelle's parents has been dead for ten years and she only has him with her. She felt safe, and could handle it with her brother there, but since the drama with the assassin and everything that has happened and still happening on the ship, she's a little upset. Okay, more than a little--she's a wreck.

Name: Rachell Burgess

Age: 20

Roll/Rank: Squadron Leader

Character Quote: Get out there and kick some enemy behind!

Theme-song:

Personality: She can be quite the social butterfly. She loves to be the center of attention and is quite good at making others laugh. She craves the spotlight and frequents the bar, though she isn't a heavy drinker. It's more for the socialization than anything else. When it comes to her job, however, she is very strict. Unafraid to dish out punishments or intrude your private life, she can come across as a pushy workaholic. If your boss is all you know her as of course. She tries her best to be fair, but when she's working the bossy side of her has a tendancy to take over. She's also a feminist and doesn't stand for people stereotyping women. She's determined and extremely feisty when it comes down to it, and if she's tired you'll find her to be extremely tempermental.

Strengths: Rachell is an excellent pilot and fighter. She follows orders well, but if they need to be twisted in order for her to succeed, she isn't afraid to do that, either. She's determined and won't give up without a fight. She works well on her own as well as with others and makes friends easily.

Weaknesses/Flaws: Rachell is a born perfectionist. If one thing is out of place, she will more than likely come down on her whole crew for it, and she can get overly bossy. She doesn't know how to say no to a challenge and does not take losses easily. She also has a tendancy to hold massive grudges for small things and has never been one to let things go. She can be a tad on the whiney side and has been known to be tempermental.
Height: 5'6''

Appearance: She has long light brown hair and hazel eyes. She's far from chubby, but she isn't scronny either. She usually dresses appropriately for certain occasions and isn't heavy on make-up. (The way she works, she hasn't gotten into the habbit of applying much. She typically only wears a light amount of foundation and eye make-up.

History: She has always lived in the UK and her father was from the military. He was killed three weeks after Rachell's sixteenth birthday. She and her mother worked hard to coap with their loss and make it okay for her younger brother, Ryan who was eight at the time his father died. Her older brother Dustin has been in prison since she was seventeen for reasons she refuses to specify. She lost contact with her family after being promoted.

During LUMF, she was sent on a scout mission with Hayden. She had never liked the man, and wasn't thrilled about having to bring him along. She goes out to hunt him down, only to find him in his room claiming to be with a girl. Uncaring and sick of his charades, she forced her way into his room, only to find him lieing.

After a slight scuffle to get Hayden out of his room, her respect levels (which weren't high to begin with) for him dropped drastically.

During the mission, the two spotted and destroyed an enemy fighter, only to be left with damaged engines and no contact with the Demeter. Assuming they were going to die, Rachell and Hayden spilled their guts to each other, and Rachell's respect level for Hayden upped dramatically. So dramatically, she agreed to a fantasy-date with him.

After jump-starting the engines, picking up their captain, and the even that

Under Constuction
Name: Logan Fields

Rank/Roll: Navigator and Translator:

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Character Quote: “Are you okay?”

Theme-song: (Will find)

Appearance: Has a mop of brown hair and green eyes. He tends to smile a lot, which usually comes off as strained and crooked. He often blushes and has retained a small amount of flush to his cheeks permanently, which is offset by his pale skin.

Personality:

Strengths: Above all Logan is a caring person. When people are in distress he tries his best to make them feel better. He will do this not only for his friends but also for random people he meets. He is loyal and seldom lets anger or other negative emotions to take hold of him believing that there is always a good side to any situation.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Logan is easily flustered and embarrassed which is quickly indicated by a flush to his cheeks or a nervous smile. In this state he is also prone to accidents due to clumsiness. A case of his would be his unwillingness to except compliments. He will deny it and smile awkwardly insisting that he doesn’t deserve it. He is afraid of large amounts of responsibility outside of his comfort zone believing that he will screw it up. He believes that all women should be treated as fragile creatures. This view can come out slightly patronizing and overprotective.

History/Background:

Pre- LUMF

Logan grew up with a drunken father and mother that abandoned her only child to live the high life with a rich businessman. Despite his father’s drunken tirades he never hit his son. Logan however had to help bring food to the table by getting a job at an early age. When he went to school Logan became fascinated with languages and communications, thus he studied every language under the sun from high school through college. He was awarded a internship to study transmissions received from outer space and received navigational training for his eventual placement on a science ship.

LUMF-

After the explosion that claimed the life of the captain, Logan discovered that all the transmission equipment was destroyed and thus his job for the most part had become obsolete. However with the death of the captain, Logan became third in command and begin to fear being in a leadership position. For the first time Logan had a conversation with Kat after altercation in the workout room.

After Isaac is attacked Logan’s responsibilities grow even greater as he has to directly correspond to the new captain Roan. Logan informs Roan that two fighter pilots are being sent out on a scouting mission and is present for their send off where all the time worried about Rachell.

Logan comforts Kat after she assaulted by a drunken pilot from before. He calls Elle so Kat can talk to her. Logan checks back with communications to find that they have lost all communication with the fighter pilots. Logan hires some of the bar staff to help guard Isaac from further attack. Logan goes on to revoke all the drinking privileges of all the pilots.

Logan is appointed temporary captain after Isaac is supposedly found dead and Roan is blamed. When Isaac is revealed to be alive, a rescue pod is set up which Logan is meant to oversee, now back to a relatively comfortable second in command position. After another run in with Elle, Logan goes to the rescue pods to find Isaac trying to stop the mission. The real Isaac comes in before Logan can react. A confrontation with the alien creature ends in its escape.

Other: Up for love . Does not curse.

Name: Anna Gillard

Rank/Roll: Geneticist on Zeus

Age: 28

Gender: Female

Character Quote: "We do things by the book here."

Theme-song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwCykGDEp7M

Appearance:
She has dark read hair that apparently was genetically altered to be that way since her original hair color was brown. She has one green eye and one brown eye. Also a part of her fathers tinkering. She has a heart shaped face and pale skin mainly from her lack of exiting a lab of some sort. She is also noted of having slightly large ears.

Personality: D

Strengths- She considered to be loyal and trustworthy. She hardly ever lies believing her brand of the truth to be better. When tasked with something she always gets it done no matter what. She is excellent at her job and is never distracted while doing it.

Weaknesses- ue to her upbringing she is rather harsh and thinks about situations with little emotion, opting for the most rational outcome. She has performed dozens of experiments in which people are harmed, yet this doesn't bother her because it is her job to produce results. Some consider her to be cold and calculating. She follows rules to a T and doesn't even pause to question them. Questioning authority in her book is a high folly. Since her fathers death she has developed an unhealthy obsession with the captain and pictures him as a father figure, because of this she is always out to please him.

History/Background: Anna was the daughter of a scientist that heavily experimented with cloning. His experimentations were mainly geared towards prolonging life and finding cure for genetically inherited diseases. He brought her to work everyday instead of instead of allowing her to go to school and taught everything he knew. Her studies were massive as he forced her to learn multiple languages, genetics, biotechnology and various other forms of mathematics and science. He deprived her of reading, watching or doing anything educational. She was put on a strict diet and all her potential suitors underwent extensive screenings. Her father called in breeding and grooming. He believed that it was the parent's responsibility to mold their children in to powerful people. At the age of 25 Anna started working for the military.

She quit her assistant job under her father and they had a falling out. Two years of them never talking she was informed that he had passed away from heart problems. Some of the most top secret experiments performed by the military have been under her watch since then. He staff consists of two assistants and they are the only ones with clearance to the information she gathers aside from the captain. Her father has experimented and both her and himself.

Name: Captain Roan Chbosky

Age: 24

Job: Captain/Interim Captain of the XX Demeter

Description: Although Roan hates his superior officer, he loves the public he serves above. Often found sidetracked from his jobs while talking with civilians, Roan is a sour-sweet addition to the ship's crew. His subordinates love him, but nag him on constantly for his short attention span and his tendency to lust after the nearest aura of beauty. However, when focused, he is a gifted and beloved leader, and the word has passed around once or twice that he would bring about fresh air to breathe were Riggs to...not work out.

In a way, that statement could not have been more invalid. However, he remains beloved in the public eye, even as he is declared a murderer.

...and even moreso when his name is cleared.

Character Quote: "My crew, my family, victory comes at a great price. If you're not willing to lose more than an arm for your best friend, then you need to back down now."

Character Song:

Height: 5'10"

Appearance: With short, spiky black hair and power-blue eyes, his appearance almost demands respect. He has a strong jaw and is drawn up in perfect proportions. A visual leader through and through. He wears his form-fitting uniform at most times, which is a mix of blue and black material some say to be harvested from space, and wears his old engagement ring on his ring finger, though his fiance died from Andromeda Fever years ago.

Strengths: Roan is sharp-witted and charismatic. His smile could turn the devil's head. He is decisive and is quite a decent shot with a pistol. A leader through-and-through.

Weaknesses: As of LUMF 1, Roan lacks his left arm. (more coming later)

History: Roan was born on the Orion Station from Earth. His father was a fighter pilot for the armada and his mother was a research specialist for the DMA (Dark Matter Analysis) Team. They fought back against Roan when he first wanted to leave for the military academy, but they finally gave in once he met his to-be fiance, Natalie Storms in basic training.

Fueled by Natalie's cheers of support, he flew through training and through the ranks to Assistant Captain of the renowned ship, The XX Vitality. However, after two years of service on the great ship, he was reassigned to a less-known fleet under command of Captain Rigg, The XX Demeter.

During LUMF

After an 'accident' that killed Captain Riggs, Roan Chbosky was swept into a leadership role. Much skepticism arose along with his new power, but he was generally well-accepted as a leader due to his high charisma and level head. A series of murders ensued, however, and Roan began to suspect that the deaths--frightening realities--were connected with the explosion that killed Riggs.

Roan found confidence in his best friend and Second-In-Command, Isaac Vanderbilt. However, upon reading Isaac's conspiracy journal, Roan's perspective darkened drastically.

After a grim character change, Roan withdraws from the public eye and tries to piece everything together himself. He grants Logan control over the launching of a scouting mission, and retires to his quarters where a pinnacle scene ensues: Isaac enters Roan's quarters while Roan is in the shower and attempts his life. Roan, faced with a grave choice, grabs his gun from his discarded clothes and fires at his best friend, dropping him in cold, silver blood.

The accident was the last straw, and threw Roan into an immediate trial in which he was convicted of murder and sentenced to death via ejection. Alone and dying in space, Roan makes the final connections regarding the murders, Isaac, and silver blood. His ship, his family, was under attack by a single assassin.

Just before Roan could draw his dying breath, Hayden and Rachell arrive at his location on their path back to the Demeter and rescue him, sustaining his life until they returned. Upon his revitalization, Roan assumes partial command once more and orders the ship into martial law. The events that ensued defined and destroyed Roan, as he triumphed over the silent assassin with the loss of his arm.

Other: He's up for love, but after losing his fiancé, he'd consider lust before love. Of course, fatal attraction should be rather irrelevant in drastic circumstance.

________________________________________________________________________________________

Name: Captain Archibald Crane (affectionately called "The Falcon" behind his back)

Rank: Captain of the XX Zeus

Age: 63

Gender: Male

Character Quote: "When in doubt, assail."

Appearance: Archibald stands as a man weathered by age into a sturdy, jagged boulder. While seemingly beyond his time on the outside (bald, crow's feet, etc.), he is just as fierce and dreadful as a shark on the prowl. Archibald is the highest-ranked Captain in the fleet, and dresses as such: pure white uniform with black details, golden epaulets, and as many badges as you can count. His features are marred by one distinguishing attribute that stems from his neck to his left-side jaw: a seemingly fresh, red scar from previous exploits.

Personality: Militaristic and stringent; Archibald doesn't cut corners or give breaks to those who don't deserve them. Crime warrants punishment; idiocy warrants failure. He has a growing distaste in technology, as he feels that he is fast-approaching the day when he'll be replaced by a microchip. Archibald loves to watch newborn Galaxies as they pass by. He has been to several different inhabited planets and Earth is not his favorite; in fact, rumor has it that he met a lover on the planet Vulcan-4 with whom he had a torrid affair. That was decades ago, however, and many consider Archibald a shadow of his former self.

Strengths: He is swiftly decisive and good with any form of mathematic and directional tasks. He is substantially practical and conducts himself very professionally. On his body, there are two knives, a gun, and a taser. None of the three have been used in quite a while outside of the shooting range, however.

Flaws/Weaknesses: His mind carries a bit of weight from his previous exploits, particularly his engagement in the Empirical War in his mid-thirties. While he tries not to let his waning vitality get the best of him, it shows every now and then.

History/Background: Archibald was born in a small coastal town in South Carolina back before the Atlantic Tsunami covered most of the lowlands in tidal marshes. After the catastrophe, Archibald's family moved further west to a large city in Kentucky where he was given military training as a child and young teen. After graduating high school with honors, Archibald enlisted in the military and worked his way up the ranks in the Air Force until he gained recognition from the GSI (Global Space Initiative) in those days. Archie enlisted in his late twenties and was flown off immediately into the Empirical War of the Parthenon Galaxy. After returning triumphantly, the GSI, which was bought out by the Roman Corporation the next year, placed him in command of a ship under one of the day's finest Captains, Elias Riggs.

His patience with Riggs did not last long, however, and upon their seventh mission together, things began to go awry. Their ship ventured off-course by the order of Riggs and entered an uncharted Galaxy. Archibald took control of the ship in order to maintain order and decency, and instituted Martial Law until they were found. The incident, costing nearly one hundred souls, gave Crane the recognition he needed to become his own Captain. Years later, he was placed in charge of the Zeus, the grandest cruiser in the fleet. Only recently has he had issues from anyone--namely Elias Riggs.

Archibald's story begins after a series of failed attempts at contacting the Demeter.

Other: He's pretty badass.

Name: Adelaide

Rank/Roll: Ship AI for the Zeus

Age: 3 years.

Gender: Holographic Female

Character Quote: "Processing... nope; you still don't make any sense."

Theme-song: "Mediational Field from the Paprika Soundtrack

Appearance: In keeping with the traditional nature of the ship, she appears dressed as an Ancient Greek, though she needn't appear at all.

Personality: High spirited and intelligent, Adelaide is as human as technology can allow. She gets along with people that are grateful for her. The few ingrates are those she pulls pranks on or otherwise prods.

Strengths: Programmed with the knowledge of humanity; she is easily the smartest member of the crew. Likewise, she is able to access all ship systems; especially those involving navigation, weapons, sensors, everything. In a sense, she is the ship. Part super-computer, part scientist, she is designed to provide immediate analysis of unknown races/phenomena so that the crew can make the appropriate decisions.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Like all Smart AI's, there is a probability that she'll descend into a state of rampancy. She can move from device to device, but she is limited by the power and storage of those devices.

History/Background: Initialized three years ago, Adelaide has been an invaluable asset in the maintenance of the Zeus.

Other: In addition to all the system stuff, she also acts as a ship confidant. Like a blog that talks back.

Name: Hayden McQuinn

Rank/Roll: Hotshot Pilot and Engineer

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Character Quote:

“Screw the risks, we need to survive!”
“Love isn’t profound, but it can hurt and scar deeply.”

Theme-song:

Appearance: Caucasian, Short brown hair, with boyish looks, resonant green eyes, that just hypnotise. Clean shaven and always appears happy. He also quite short, being quite small for his age a mere 5.3. He Wears old jeans mainly with fighter pilot jacket (says it gets the girls quicker).
Spoiler! :
Image

Personality: A brave but reckless guy, always eager to jump into his fighter. Often ignores authority figures instructions. He has a head for adventure while being extremely arrogant, but still great person just hard to see under his first facade.

He spends times off in Cruiser bar, trying to get some fun with the ladies. Loves his fighter so much he gave it a name. Being as he’s originally from Ireland, as evident in his thick accent and his patriotic pride of his home. What many people don’t know is he’s really quite insecure and had made many mistakes in his life.

Though claiming he lives for the moment he still has issues with guilt which was found out in ‘LUMF’

Strengths: He is brave and has a noble heart it is just hard to see under his playa’ facade. As well as being brave, he is a strong proficient pilot being top of his class – though a little cocky --.

Flaws/Weaknesses: He’s a player, and though he’s charismatic, he appears not to care about other humans emotions. But his weaknesses go deeper, he fled once from his life and he regrets it to this day, often crying about it in secret.

History/Background:
Pre LUMF

From Ireland originally, he left when he was accepted into the Academy to become a Fighter Pilot. The night before he and friends were kicked out all the bar in Ireland. Even though he had joined for laughs initially it appeared he was actually skilled to the surprise of his instructor.

Though he promised and married an Irish woman named Meg, they had a kid and just as everything was perfect he fled and pursued his dream.

Deep down he felt regret, but regret grew into insecurity, so he began to seduce girls left-right and centre. Not caring of names or faces, just sleeping with them and leaving them without a clue of where he went. This gradually grew worse and worse, his reputation building up to infamy. It wasn’t about insecurity anymore, it was about thrill. The lies, the deception and Meg slowly forgotten, as he just only remembered the sex.

Once he left the Academy and was put on a Secondary Cruiser, a science ship under the Pantheon Armada known as the XX Demeter, a beautiful craft with minor weaponry and bay of Persephone Rage fighters. It was soon obvious he and Captain Elias Rigg didn’t get on well at all, often he ended up in cooler for his sexual misdeeds towards anyone wearing knickers onboard, but still he was one of the best pilots so he was kept on board.

During LUMF

After being released from the cooler, he went looking for his next conquest. After finding a stowaway, he blackmailed her to kiss him, all to keep him quiet. After that he went to work on his fighter having an argument with Kat one of the most sought after fighter crew.

Before the ship was disabled he was asked to go out and scout ahead then the ship was disabled. Before he left he went to cry in secret, when Rachell found him with his photos and letters for Meg, she went berserk.

Once leaving the ship arguments began, which soon stopped when they found a ship and destroyed it, but not before it fried their engines. This led to a long chat, where Hayden confessed everything, while Rachell listened and commented on it, also bearing her soul to. The time grew and death seemed inevitable so he propositioned her on a fantasy date, she accepted.

This only worked if they survived and being alone in space with her had made his feeling grow for her considerably, he finally was wanting to admit everything to Meg, move on and live.

Other: Deeply in love with Rachell, though she’s gone back on her word. He still can’t escape these feelings.

Name: Lheia

Rank/Roll: Sergeant Major

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Character Quote: "Your god can't save you."

Theme-song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hn7xNSHGgU

Appearance:
Black hair that's always pulled into a ponytail, and cold green eyes. Her skin is deathly white, and she's relatively short, at 5,1. She's slim and curvy, but muscular. She wears her uniform at all times and has what looks like an old fashioned sword with ridged edges in her belt constantly. She weighs around 110 pounds.

Personality: Cold and emotionless most of the time. She hides herself well. She doesn't generally speak unless she's called to do it, and if she's angered she loses her temper easily. She's unforgiving most of the time, and occasionally cruel. People have said that she has absolutely no sense of humor, as she never laughs at anything. She'll grudgingly obey authority and any friends she makes who don't fear her are few and far between; she'll sacrifice anything for you if you're lucky enough to befriend her.

Strengths:
Slightly improved physical strength and speed, as well as reflexes. She's relatively good at pickpocketing, and took dance lessons before she joined the military, though that probably doesn't matter. She doesn't get scared very easily.

Flaws/Weaknesses:
Her body is slightly more vulnerable than ours, and requires more sustenance and rest to keep going. She's impatient and not very good with people, and tends to be rude and/or disrespectful without meaning to be.

History/Background:
Lheia grew up in the city as a relatively normal person. She got average grades and everything and signed up for the Academy as soon as she was old enough to. Both her father and grandfather had been in and she wanted to follow in their footsteps and help as much as she possibly could. Her younger brother was killed by cancer at the age of 9. Lheia was diagnosed with mild dyslexia as a child, but it seems to have receded.

She volunteered to be experimented on to create the ideal military tool; someone that could kill without remorse and without any hesitation whatsoever. It went slightly wrong, and she now goes into uncontrollable killing rages at random intervals. It can be relatively controlled with the use of drugs and sedatives.

Other:
Up for love, if you're ready to love someone who could kill you in your sleep. Feels horribly guilty about the people she's killed and has begun to hear things. It's nothing serious, though.
Just another quack spouting psychobabble.

"If I win, I'm a prodigy. If I lose, then I'm mad. That's the way history is written."

Rachell | Near the closed pub | 11:33 a.m.

Rachell swallowed hard and tried to breath without making her whole body shudder. She checked her watch, refusing to make eye-contact with Hayden. They had been arguing for the past ten minutes about the same thing- a certain date that had been promised while floating around in space. It was obviously not one of Rachell's smarter moves.

"You went back on your word bitch. I was an open book to you!"

Rachell cringed at the cuss and made an effort to look up. Not that she wasn't plenty used to being called a bitch, but there was something almost terrible about hearing it right at that very moment. "Hayden... I thought I was going to die for Pete's sake! I'm Sorry, but I can't..." she trailed off, unsure of how to continue. This had to have been the third time she had muttered that same sentence, but the man refused to understand. There were reasons Rachell couldn't have a relationship- especially one with him.

"And my openess meant anything. I was going to face my demons with your help..." Hayden said, tone surprisingly even for how angry he seemed to be.

Rachell went to tuck her light brown hair behind her ear only to find it already neatly in place. It was strange what a person did when she was anxious. For the whole fight, she had been messing around with her hair or her shirt. Anything to keep her hands busy and her fingernails away from her mouth.

"And what if I can't help you face them?! What about my demons? They just don't matter all of a sudden, or what?" Rachell demanded, volume increasing substantially. She hadn't meant to start yelling, but maybe it would help convey her message better.

"Look, we agreed, I may not be perfect, but you have to realize we can be stronger together..." Hayden answered. He was obviously trying to keep his tone calm, and in Rachell's opinion, he was doing quite a good job. Not that it mattered much.

A pang of guilt had already hit its mark, and Rachell sighed "It's hardly about how imperfect you are, Hayden..." she paused for a second to try and figure out what it was about. "I just... can't."

"Everything I said to you was true... I could have lied, you'd not known better, guess what I was honest- my words meant something!"

"That's not the point! Hayden, I just can't do it. It's not like I hate you or anything, can't you just be happy with that?" After all, her opinion of Hayden now was a whole lot better than it had been before their little mission. You'd think he would have been happy to live with that.

"How can I be happy? For once in my life I was allowed a second chance and this time wasn't going to blow it!"

Rachell looked away, trying to hide a few tears that were threatening to spill over. No matter what he said to her, she refused to cry in front of him. Rachell took a deep breath and tried again. "Of all the women on this ship, it had to be me, huh? Being in a life or death situation just made you relize these things? Like magic right? It just doesn't make sense to me," she muttered, blinking a few times to rid her eyes of the salty water.

"You saw me at my worst... and rather than ignoring it you asked... no one else would have cared..." Hayden added a quiet sigh, "Remember most the original crew is gone..."

Rachell's head shot up. So that's what this was about? "Oh, so it's because all of the other women on the ship are gone, is it?" she spat bitterly. If he honestly thought that he was helping his situation, he was sorely mistaken. But it wasn't just anger, it had almost hurt, too. Almost.

No... not what I mean... I mean... this is unfair- you went back on your word... I've not been able to look at woman like I used too... Doesn't that mean anything to you?"

"Yes... but... I just... I'm Sorry Hayden, I honestly wasn't thinking. I didn't mean to lead you on or anything..." She sighed again and glanced at the pub door. What she wouldn't give for a beer right now. A beer, another burger or two and a nice, quiet, confined space. So long as it wasn't her fighter.

"... You did lead me along... and... forget it... I don't know why I even tried, turns out I was wrong about you and ideas of 'your word being your honour were lies.' How foolish of me." With that, Hayden started down the hall towards the medical ward.

Rachell watched quietly, unsure of what to do. A fresh wave of guilt took her by surprise. Why on earth would she promise the man something like that in the first place? It had been such a stupid thing to say. What, had she just momentarly forgotten that she wasn't ready to try for another serious relationship? How did a person forget that sort of thing, anyways?
Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurl.

got trans?

Hayden McQuinn - Day 1: Doctor Patton Office

He had done it, he'd finally stood up to her, and told her what he really felt about her obvious betrayal and he knew it stung. But truth be told she had no right to go back on her word. They'd made a promise, he didn't expect much but he deserved that one date that had been promised. A promise despite it's connotations was still an act you were meant to hold to. The fact she didn't proved who was the real person who needed help. Her not him.

Much had changed, not in the happiest way, Elle the psychiatrist had been found with a suicide note while she hung from the the roof. It wasn't a happy sight for many of the survivors -- especially considering many of them relied on her voice of reason to survive through the day. The suicides escalated dramatically. It was sad to think that things had gone to hell and all because of one person. The Demeter was hardly the best of the ships, but it had to be admitted that despite everything it had loyal and intelligent crew.

True, Riggs had been a bore and arrogant guy, but he had at looked out for his crew. That and also he missed the arguments and being thrown in the cooler. It wasn't a pure or chaste life, but it was a pattern and that's what he missed a consistency of actions or events. So far there had no constant, only events and reactions. The closest thing resembling a constant was fact that Roan was now Captain, but even that there was tentative at best.

Reaching the medical bay he saw the weary face of Felicia Patton one of the few surviving medical staff, her was was ragged and worn -- which was sad as she was a beautiful woman, but she seemed empty and depressed. Looking up she forced a smile on her lips.

"Well Hayden what can I for you?"

Taking a seat down next to her he began, "I've been coming to you for a week roughly and I began coming because of fact I've been running from my past... and finally when able to face it, I was faced with a locked door."

"Yes, I remember. The door being Ms Rachell right?"

Sighing he nodded, "Yes. I really love her."

Felicia eyes fell over a portrait on her desk. Did her fiancée even love her still, been so long since she'd been on land. Her man to be understood her job and told he'd stay loyal, but nonetheless what would he do when she never came back, assume she's dead?

"I understand Hayden, but she's right to avoid you isn't she?"

That stung, but he had to admit it was true, "I've changed, all this time I was afraid to face my demons of what I done."

"Running away from your wife and kid right?"

Hayden winced, "Yes."

"Well, why should Rachell trust you?"

Growing exasperated he yelled, "Because I love her, and I've made mistakes, but she was my second chance. My chance to undo all I did."

Felicia rolled her eyes her wavy blond curls dancing over her head, "And how about the many girls who had to have medical abortion because of you?"

"I know... I know I've done bad, but I'm willing to live again, live a life not so wretched."

She sighed before sitting up, "I believe we've more to discuss that I first thought. Come back to me next week same time and we shall continue."

Once more nodding Hayden left feeling more stressed than ever.

Shaun

There were too many empty rooms. Shaun couldn't help thinking that as he glanced around the one he'd been allocated; a small, scarcely decorated interior with little indication of any previous owner. There had been one though. And he was dead. Poor sod. There wasn't much to laugh about these days. Shaun felt more lost than most of the crew, what with his bar closed and his younger sister helping out in the infirmary. And a weapon in his hand, not forgetting that.

It was strange to think that Shaun had become something of a body-guard during the recent sequence of events. It had seemed like the right thing at the time but now he didn't know what to do with himself. The threat seemed to have passed but opening the bar didn't seem like an appropriate idea. It would be bad taste and might even encourage a few more suicides. Too easy to drink yourself to death under the circumstances.

73. There had been six times that many people on board not so long ago but now he recognised every face, knew every name. He could even estimate where they'd all be. There were twenty sick in the infirmary, including Roan and six or seven taking turns to check on them. The remaining officers spent all their time discussing possible courses of action and the pilots or the hangers on like him stuck to their rooms. Or at least they had so far, but Shaun wasn't suited to a lonely existence and there was one sign that the room had once housed someone else: a pack of cards.

Shaun scooped them up and made his way down to a small lounge he'd never used. His own bar had been the main source of entertainment and congregation, but this would have to do now.

"Cards?" He called out as he walked, his voice surprisingly loud, if not so jovial as it once was. "Hey! Any of you think you can best me at a game?" He didn't know if he was supposed to be disturbing the quiet but the news would get back to the officers and if they didn't like what he was doing, they could bloody well come and tell him so. But for now he dropped into one of the cushy chairs and shuffled the dead man's cards while he waited.

Captain Roan Chbosky | Infirmary

It was no surprise, Roan thought, that his room in the infirmary had to be filled with screens and intercoms. What bothered him was that he had not been allowed to answer a single damned shortwave call from the machines. Each time the whir of solar static rushed into the boxes, his heart picked up some freakish rhythm; he'd shuffle his hips in the bedsheets and stretch out his right arm to pick up the receiver. But every single time, his valiant Tertiary authority would nab the call. It made no sense how Logan could be so alert--so on-cue each and every moment of the day.

But it also made sense that folks were nervous about letting Isaac near him.

In a perfect world, Roan would've returned and the Demeter would have conquered the assassin with no casualties, the ship would've welcomed him back with open arms, and he could have had his friendships undisturbed. But, as the grotesque feeling of numbness on his left side reminded Roan, the world was not perfect. The glory of being a captain had long since vanished. It was a caustic reality.

Murmuring in the next medical ward. Two voices...

His voice dry and raspy, Roan called out, "Isaac?" The murmuring ceased and footsteps approached. Two men in subordinate captain's uniforms entered the room and stood in military stance, saluting and everything. Roan arched an eyebrow and pursed his lips. "...at...ease, boys..." He wasn't sure what exactly to say. Of course they would salute him; it was military protocol. Situations did not change protocol. But even so, the two just stood there. It occurred to Roan then that he wasn't going to get his pleasantries. Even robbed of most clothes, left-armless and in a hospital bed, he was still the captain. And friendships did not exist in hospital wards.

But as true as Roan assumed that to be, he couldn't help but notice how red Isaac's eyes were. His glance shifted to Logan, who nodded. "We've received some strange signals on the shortwave."

"It's probably just Solar Winds getting altered in our astral trail."

Isaac nodded to Roan. "That's what I assumed, in practicality, but these don't match up with other Solar Beta waves." Isaac looked pleadingly at Roan. "Please don't dismiss any sign of hope."

And Isaac was right. They all needed hope then, if nothing else. All three of them exchanged tired glances, and Isaac and Logan turned their attention back to Roan for an affirmation. Calm and wishful thinking flowed down from the head. The captain had to have hope. After a moment, Roan nodded. "Continue investigating, but do not outsource the repair efforts on the eng--"

"There are three mechanics remaining, Captain." Logan's eyes dropped to the white-tile floor and Isaac closed his eyes. Roan bit down on his bottom lip and slowly nodded.

"...do as you see fit, then."

Sorry it took me so long to get here. >.O

Name: Commander Isaac Vanderbilt

Rank/Roll: Roan's second-in-command

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Character Quote: "I'm not calling you a liar, just don't lie to me."

Theme-song: Breathe, by The Prodigy

Appearance: Isaac appears somewhat foppish with his perfectly manicured nails and blond hair. He's very concerned about his appearance, and keeps his platinum blond hair in a fashionable trim. He wears glasses not because he has to, but because they give him an air of sophistication. His gray eyes are quick to take on the dominant color around him, so they seem to be different colors under different lights and areas. He keeps up with trends and is never caught wearing something ugly.

Personality:

Strengths: Isaac is, by nature, a careful man who always takes pains to prepare for all plausible problems he might encounter. He's logical and protective of his friends, and will go to great lengths to clean someone else's mess up.

Flaws/Weaknesses: If you don't take into account his appearance, he's very much a wallflower and likes staying in the background as opposed to being shoved into the limelight. He's a bit timid and never mentions his concerns to anyone, preferring to keep his problems to himself. Unfortunately, he has no qualms about sacrificing himself for his friends.

History/Background: Isaac grew up as a sort of doll for his mother, and therefore learned to appreciate things for the aesthetic qualities rather than their practicality. As an only child of an old couple, he was spoiled and, in return for good grades, got everything he could ever want.

As a child, his ability to foresee or predict most possible outcomes did not go unnoticed. His school's clubs would often ask him what he believed was the worst-case scenario and prepare for it ahead of time. As a result, any group that had Isaac always got high scores because they always, always prepared for the worst. His parents were proud of their son's penchant for preparation and often boasted about it.

He entered the military voluntarily and, with a lot tiny bit of his parents' help, got to his position without much field work. He had been assigned to a handful of captains and his mission would always come back successful.

When he was told to go with the reckless Captain Riggs, Isaac actually tried to use all his influence to get out of it. Captain Riggs is Isaac's worst nightmare as the captain is completely unreliable and never really willing to listen to anyone. Needless to say, he failed and was assigned on the XX Demeter anyway.

In LUMF 1...

Isaac loyally followed Roan Chbosky during the entire mission, from the launch to the accident that killed Captain Riggs. He continued to support his friend when the latter was promoted to captain, but Isaac had his doubts about what killed Captain Riggs.

A series of murders happen right after Captain Riggs's death, and Isaac was one of those attacked. He was immobile and sentenced to bed rest for quite a while, but another incident prompted him to escape - Roan appeared and attempted to take Isaac's life again. This unnerved Isaac, who thought there was something off about the Roan who tried to murder him, and craving answers, he stumbled out of the ward shortly after Roan murdered "Isaac". His absence from the medical ward cemented the belief that Roan killed his best friend in cold blood, and Isaac was caught unaware by the storm of events that followed.

He arrived too late to stop the conviction and save Roan from his fate, but his presence prompted another investigation. The so-called corpse was gone. A severe rift formed in the ship - few believed Roan still killed Isaac and it was only by some miracle the latter survived, while others remained faithful to Roan and Isaac's decision to save his friend from space. Isaac grudgingly takes control of the ship and manages to quell a mutiny long enough for Roan to get back and declare martial law.

Isaac was lucky and survived the ordeal, but moving around too much/exerting too much effort now causes him pain in his left arm and his side.

Other: Isaac still keeps his handy-dandy worry notebook, in which he writes about everything he thinks might go wrong. Also, his experiences in LUMF 1 have taught him to never discount even the strangest possibilities, so Isaac is a tad less stable now.
"The moral of this story, is that if I cause a stranger to choke to death for my amusement, what do you think I’ll do to you if you don’t tell me who ordered you to kill Colosimo?“

-Boardwalk Empire

Love, get out of my way.
