Dream machines. Something so advanced, that no one ever thought it would ever be possible. Here at the Dream Enrichment Center (DEC) we've built a machine that allows a subjects dreams to not only be projected, but to be lived as well. Finally, we can live our dreams. It's a scientific breakthrough like none other. At first we thought we had it all figured out. People were happy living in their dreams. Then there was a bug.

People started having nightmares. You see, the Dream Projector (DP) is a learning machine. It learned their likes and interests quickly, making it possible for the machine to give them what they wanted. The machine grew so smart it discovered their fears, and weaknesses. It made a living, tangible world that we could not bring them out of. Even death was real.

We've managed to build more units that allow subjects into the dream world, and we've managed to keep the newer models under our own control. This is where you come in. We need you to go in and retrieve the previous subjects, and bring them back to the waking world. Alive.

Name: Colleen Reilly

Appearance:

Personality: Colleen isn't one to be messed with. She will play nice if you are on her side, but she lived by what she considers the golden rule. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. She relies on her cunning and manipulation of others to get things done. She cracks easily under pressure, showing how weak and soft she is inside. She can prove useful some times, with her speed and cunning, but really she's as shallow as a puddle.

History: Precious little Colleen always got her way. Her daddy was one of the head scientists at DEC. She wanted to be first in, she wanted to be the very first to live in her dreams, but daddy knew of how dangerous it was. He knew of the chance of a bug in the system. So he wouldn't let Colleen in. This upset Colleen, and Daddy wasn't allowed to upset Colleen, oh dear no this wouldn't do. Colleen threw a fit when she found out about the second group going in. Daddy caved in and hooked her up.

Name:Aimee Serena

Age:(above 20) 22

Appearance:(No Anime and No Scene or 'emo' models) She is around five foot nine. She has aubrun hair which is wavy and she wears in a bun but she let's some of the hair fall out. She has deep brown eyes with specks of gold within them. She wears a white vest with black cargo pants.

Personality:She is a stern. She beleves the ends justify the means, however she can also be sweet and kind depending on the situation. She uses every situation to her benefit. She is a realist.

History:She is a British marine. She joined when she finished school at sixteen and never looked back. She had an average childhood, two parents, a loving home and they encouraged her all the way. The marines made her who she is today, she went on a mission to North Korea where she gained military honours and became the most notourius marine in british culture. No-one is a hundred percent sure what happened in Korea, other than twelve people died.

Love: Yes, but she is hard to trust with love and may become paranoid.

Other: She is skiled with a snipe rifle and a shot gun.

Name: Larissa Dallas.

Age: 22.

Gender: Female.

Appearance: Tall, about 5'7 with dark brown hair that often looks black and light brown/hazel eyes. She is slightly tanned and of average build, athletic and strong even though she doesn't look it. Prefers to wear darks colours with neutrals to contrast and is always hiding behind her hair.


Personality: Despite her somewhat shy first impression, Larissa is actually kind, loving, caring, smart, determined, loyal and fierce, though sometimes easily distracted. She hates to see those she cares about hurt and can get really defensive if someone she likes is harmed. Be warned--if you start asking questions about anything she doesn't want to talk about, she’ll shut down and just ignore you. Especially if you bring up anything to do with her family. And if she doesn't shut down, she may get mad—really mad. And a mad Larissa is a rare sight, nor is it not a good thing. Larissa is talented when it comes to reading people and tinkering with things, though her downfalls are her short temper and her dislike of being called helpless or a coward—it’s bad one, as she was often called this when she was younger. She’s quiet and thoughtful more often than not and thinks a lot before speaking or doing something. Larissa also likes to plan things out, if she can, and dislikes when her plans are thoroughly screwed up by stupid mistakes. And she has made a few mistakes in the past, and dislikes when this is pointed out.

History: Larissa's family isn't perfect. In fact, it's safe to say that most of them are crazy. Dead, or crazy. Larissa find this depressing, as one parent is dead and the other is crazy, along with her two Aunts, an Uncle and a little brother who's been in a padded cell since he was five. Larissa's Uncle killed her father, tried to kill her mother and both her aunts, dragging he brother into it by trying to 'teach' him how to kill he aunt. She doesn't know what happened, as she wasn't home at the time, and doesn't remember the aftermath, but she does know that she ended up alone. She was seventeen.

Today, she's volunteered for the program hoping to get her family back, in a way, expect now she's ended up in a living nightmare. She's stuck in the dream machine and her family is trying to kill her. How is she going to survive that?

Age: 25

Appearance:

Personality: He's sometimes happy, sometimes sad. When he's happy, he'll be skipping all around like a hippie. When he's sad, he'll sit around and not do anything. He's pretty mean, sad or happy. He'll lash out at things randomly, and that's verbal and physical. He's depressed and can't stand the sight of blood. He's always mean to everyone, but he's really just scared and he knows his mom needs him to help with his siblings. He started off hating the others, but he's gotten used to them and tolerates them. He hates this and has gotten very close to suicide before someone caught him and convinced him not to(somehow, he's very stubborn).

History: His father died three months ago. So, when this machine came out, he gladly obliged so he could see his father again. Instead, he keeps seeing him get killed again. Other then that, his life has been pretty uneventful. You know, School. Homework. Computer. Sleep. Repeat.

Love: eh... maybe.

Name: Gabriel Coles

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Group: First

Appearance: Slick black hair, dark brown eyes and very rarely clean-shaven. Gabe is 6' even and quite fit, though not exactly muscular. (He's much too lazy to work out too often) He's got a killer-smile that he's practiced since he started middle school, and has long since nearly perfecte. (Nearly.)


Personality: On the outside, Gabe seems very in-control. He's a fun-loving thrill seeker and loves to be the life of the party. He's got a thing for being the center of attention and can't stand sharing the spotlight. (Unless, of course, he's sharing it with a gorgeous woman.) He can be lazy at times, and a tad greedy. He's extremely stubborn and won't back down from anything. He is a lady's man, and was known as an overly flirtatious player. He has been known to take things a little too far, but he doesn't pay any attention to the warnings he gets. His guilt levels are high, but somehow, he manages to supress them and keep them locked up. The second a little bit escapes, the rest will be sure to follow. He can be seen as quite a jerk, though he has his soft spots. You just have to find them. Somewhere way deep down in him, there's that same scared boy from his child-hood. His emotions about this are only triggered by certain things, and otherwise, it's impossible to guess his past.

History: Though it doesn't show much, Gabe grew up in an abusive home. His father beat him, his older sister, and their mother on a regular basis. He has scars on his back and legs from the assaults, which is why you will never find him in shorts. The scars on his back, however, he isn't too afraid to show off. (He tends to make up wild stories about them.)

When he was 10 and his sister, Leigha, was 14, their father came home after disappearing for two days. That night, their mother 'mysteriously' disappeared. The next night it was Leigha. Gabe woke up one morning about a week later to find that his father had hung himself from the rafters in the basement.

A horrified Gabriel was sent to live with his uncle and aunt, who treated him well for the most part. They were a little distant, but that never bothered Gabriel much. He was a quiet, timid child. It was after his uncle introduced him to the wonderful world of women that Gabriel got his confidence back and started following in his uncle's footsteps-- as the lady's man. Of course, Gabriel wasn't married. The two never did tell Auntie about Gabe's uncle's secret life. And so the new Gabe was born.

Love: He's going to be extremely flirtatious, and will probably mess with most (if not all) of the women he comes into contact with. If he somehow finds somebody he can love-- really love, his life may just take a slight turn. Good luck.

Other: The only way Gabe will really lash out is if you pry about his family life. He tends to fidget- a LOT- when he's nervous or stressed out about something. He also has a nervous chuckle that he tends to use in 'awkward' situations, as well as situations where he might find himself being put-down or threatened. (In a minor way. If you're threatening him in a big way, he WILL fight back, and it will NOT end pretty.)

Name: Aaron Gould

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Group: Second.

Appearance:

Personality: He's shy and so usually quiet, but will respond in a friendly manner if people talk to him. He is slightly OCD-ish, and must wipe his feet four times when he goes into a stranger's household. He's a dreamer, when he was a kid he used to dream about unifying the countries of the world. He's older now and knows it can't happen, but he still seeks to achieve part of his dream through the dream projectors. In his mind, if the machines are fixed, then people can see just how beautiful other's dreams are. In his childish mind, this might be a way to promote peace. He doesn't easily or usually get angry, unless you ask him about the scar on his right shoulder. It's something he doesn't talk about (though he may tell another character if they become close friends).

History: He was raised in an London orphanage until he was ten, and then he was adopted by a deeply Catholic couple. As such he reflects their beliefs, though he is perhaps not to the extent they did.

His adopted sister was one of the first subjects who winded up dead because of the dream projectors' bugs. Because of this, he is determined to bring back the others alive.

Name: Alexander Ricks

Age: 24

Appearance:

Personality: He doesn't talk much when in large groups but is always on the look out. He likes to laugh and have fun but he knows when it's time to play around and time to be serious. He hates it when people challenge him and will never hesitate to show a person that he's not one to be messed with. He works hard to make sure that those around him, and himself, are safe but he tends to lose focus if his attention is elsewhere. He doesnt show it, but on the inside he's most always freaking out about something - anything. He's terribly paranoid, which is the biggest reason why he's always on guard. He doesn't like to trust anyone, especially with things like his life. Other than that, he's really fun loving and has a good attitude, and he can never say no to a nice evening alone.

History: He was born in a small town somewhere near Temple, Texas. He was a really fun, nice, sweet, and smart kid until his "problems" developed. After seeing his friend shot on the streets one night after coming home from a big party, he's always had extreme paranoia. For a while, before he got his pills and started therapy, he thought everyone was out to get him and everyone was watching what he did. He couldn't sleep without something sharp and deadly by his bed and couldn't walk down the street or go to school without said sharp and deadly thing. His paranoia was tamed but never controlled, that led to his nightmares. At least five times every night, Alexander would wake up screaming and thrashing from his nightmares, sometimes even crying. Because of his lack of sleep and terror, he would always be cranky and annoyed in the mornings, often resulting in many fights. He soon got pills for the nightmares but he still has very violent ones.

After we get another guy for the second group, we can get this thing started. I say guy because there are already three girls in the second group and only one guy. We don't want poor TigerSprite to feel surrounded by women, do we?

Name: Zach Grayson (real name: Sebastian Blackwood)

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Appearance:



Personality: Sebastian is a quiet and serious person. He's also incredibly reserved, only speaking when he needs to and prefers to keep to himself. He’s not one to show his emotions at all but under that hard-face he's extremely kind and caring. His time in the police academy has given him a knack for paying attention to tiny details that other people would normally ignore. Sebastian's also incredibly determined. Once he puts his mind to something he won't rest until he's completed it. He has his negatives: he can be irrational and hot-headed at times. His confidence can also make him a little too ambitious.

History: Sebastian is from the prestigious Blackwood family – an elite and powerful British family. He's the only son of famous business tycoons Theodore Blackwood and Julie Starnes - the sole financeers of the DEC project. When Sebastian was 16, his parents and baby sister were assassinated by an unknown corporation. He was then forced to move to France under the new name “Zach”. Once he was old enough, he enrolled in the local police academy. He's now a police officer trained in special duties such as surveillance, VIP protection, and drug trafficking.

Not many people know that Sebastian was once addicted to the Dream Projector - he would use it to be with his family again, but he soon started becoming addicted to his dream world to the point where he forgot what was reality and what was a dream. Then the nightmares started catching up on him and he forced himself to stop. One of the reasons why he volunteered for the program was to help people like him come back to the real world.

Habits: He always keeps his mothers rosary around his neck although he doesn’t fully believe in god.
