The night is dark, the day is bright, and the ghosts lurk in the shadows.

Maybe it's not ghosts lurking in the shadows...

It's a dark night in May, the air is cool, and you're alone, just getting off work. You remember walking by the park then someone grabbing you. You put up a fight, but none of that matters, everything goes black. Nothing more.

You wake up in a house, huge, with no windows that lead to the outside. There's one, grand door made of metal and it's barred—you can't get out, there's no way.

Upon further investigation, you discover eight other people in the house with you, all in different places of the house. Nobody knows anything, nobody knows anyone, and nobody knows why there here. You search the house, and the only thing you can find is a small TV with a tape in it. You play the tape for everyone to see. It shows a man in a skull mask who speaks. Merely this and nothing more.

Hello everyone. By now, you’re scared. If I were you, I’d be scared too. You’re here for my enjoyment and my enjoyment alone. Try not to think about this as punishment to you for the things you’ve done. Cameras and microphones are placed throughout the house, but don’t look for them, you won’t find them. If you’re worried about your friends missing you, or someone looking for you, this is government testing, no one will find you. Let’s just say you’re rats, and this is the lab.

This house is made of metal; all of the windows barred and concreted up, you may never see the sun again. The house is placed far away from any human interaction, yelling gets you nowhere. There will be one winner, one surviver, and the only way to get out, is to stay alive. The winner will get a cash reward of five million dollars. It’s up to you who who leaves. Good luck.

No one knows anyone else, but they all have one thing in common. You’ve all committed a crime, a murder. You’ve been to prison, and you’re all on parole. Secrets must be kept, and lies must be told. Murder must be committed, and truth must be buried. Blood will be shed.

Everyone had a band around their ankles. Loneliness will kill. If you get further than seven yards away from each other, there will be sex volts of electricity pass through the bands into your body. Get shocked so many times, and you’ll die.

The house is huge, with what seems like hundreds of rooms. There are seven bedrooms, two dining rooms, three kitchens, four bathrooms, three libraries, a gathering room (living room), a party room with a full liquor cabinet, but no key, and a basement far below ground. The house has three levels, but only half of the rooms are unlocked. The keys come later.

A small amount of food is given through a small opening on the grand door, where it is passed into a small chamber for the others to open. At first the portions are much, but, the longer you are there, the smaller they get until you are forced to starve to death.

The keys are passed through the same chamber in the food. Whoever finds it, the key is theirs. They aren’t labeled to which door, finding them is up to you, and there are hundreds of doors. The entire top floor if locked, so good luck there. The keys are given every now and then, and everyone is worried about getting the key, meaning the room is theirs (another place for them to hide when the murder starts).

Everyone’s file is on the table in the dining room for everyone to see. Pictures of the ones murdered there, family members, past jobs, their whole life records open for all to see.

You have one option if you want to live. Kill. Good luck.

Question before I decide to join: if they can't go past 7 yards from one another, how do they hide from each other or get away from some one trying to murder them?

7 yards is pretty far away from each other, but that was the point. That makes it so they HAVE to be near someone.

Name: Jessica Ana Ramone *Jess*

Gender: Female

Age: 27

Job: Collage Student

Appearance: Jess is tall, and thin with long blonde hair and two tattoos one her wrists. One is a robot and the other is a star. Her eyes are big and brown, and her skin is soft.

Personality: Jess is really sweet now, but has not forgotten what she has done. She's generally quiet, but when she has to, she can get loud. She loves to party, and she may be the funnest girl you know. Though she's very sweet and kind, Jess is very seductive, and will use her beauty to seduce someone and get what she wants. She's very good at lieing, as well.

Back story: She was born in New York, and her mother put her up for adoption. She grew up in rich families, in and out of foster homes. It wasn't long before she found out who her mother was, and that she had a baby sister. She killed her mother first, then her little sister. The police found her holding her sister and sitting on the couch next to her mom. She went to jail for three years, then to a mental hospital. She was there for four years before she was let out and given medication. The family she was with before she was taken was really wealthy, and they were sending her to a private school.

Secret: She might be pregnant, but she isn't sure yet.

Fear: Jess is scared that she wont last very long, but she works as much as she can to keep herself from being the first to die.

Other: She has a drinking problem--if she sees alcohal, she'll drink it--and she smokes.

Name: Olivia Charlotte Milne

Gender: Female

Age: 29

Job: Teacher

While she is not the most beautiful of women, she is very attractive. She is not, however, seductive, but she has an air of innocence about her that can be very charming.

Personality: Olivia is a smart and shy woman. When you get her to open up you can see that she has a killer sense of humor and is really sweet. She hasn't forgotten what she's done, but for more than one reason. It has kept her from trusting people to easily. She became a second-grade teacher right out of college because she felt the need to help.

Back story: Olivia was born in Flagstaff, Arizona but moved to WIlliamsburg, VA when she was four. She has a younger brother named Daniel and they were mostly raised by her mother because her father was in and out of jail for various reasons. When Olivia was eighteen, she married a man named Jackson Milne. For two years, everything was fine, until he started beating her. She was one of the few cases that actually called the police and she was in and out of the hospital. However, one night, she had enough. SHe and Jackson had another violent fight, and so she picked up his shotgun and shot him in the head. In court, she and her lawyers were able to prove her Battered Wife syndrome, but she still went to jail for two years. She and Jackson had one daughter who lives with Olivia's mother.

Secret: She's extreamly depressed, and was a suicide risk in prison because she feels awful about what she did.

Fear: She's afraid she's going to either die and not see her daughter again, or she's going to have to kill someone again.

Other: She's surprisingly good a picking locks because her father taught her how.

Name: Leah Teri Drows

Gender: Female

Age: 33

Appearance:

Personality: She's usually quite cold-hearted and stony and doesn't like to open up to people. She's got a head for business and negotiation, and doesn't let her emotions get in the way of her work. (Or so she would like to think. She's never actually felt any strong emotions for anybody other than hate.) She does have a heart somewhere in there, and doesn't like watching the murders. (Unless she's become particularly hateful of a particular person). She does try to shove her pity to the bottom of her heart, and she's usually quite succesful.

Why they wanted to be part of this program: She joined up for the cash. She hasn't been able to secure a job, due to her 'cold personality.' Her interviews usually ended with her walking out due to annoyance with her interviewer. Money is much needed right now.

Backstory: Leah's mother was the only person who she really felt that loved her as a child. Her father avoided her as much as possible, and though he didn't hurt her physically, emotional abuse was a constant from both him and her older and younger brother.
Her mother loved her father, and no matter how hard he was to either of them, she stuck with him, turning to drinking for comfort. Eventually it got to be too much. Her parents divorced, and since her mother was an alcoholic (and the emotional abuse from the rest of her family went unnoticed and untalked about) her father gained custody over her. She constantly felt abandoned, and the emotional battery had her depressed.
After she turned eighteen and moved out, things seemed to start getting better. She seems over-confident now, but it's only a shell. She's afraid of her past coming back to haunt her if she opens up.

Fear: She's constantly afraid that somebody will uncover some major secret in her past or break past her little shell. She's also afraid that after this is all done, she'll be back to where she started. With absolutely nothing to go by. The murders also have a tad on the jittery side, but she doesn't think this will last.

Appearance:

Personality: Liz is very active. She can't stand sitting still, and she hates sitting in one spot for too long. She needs to be up and doing something to preoccupy her, or she'll go completely bonkers. She has quite the temper, but she's getting better at controling it as she gets older. She usually hates to think about her crimes, but there are the odd times when they make her feel like she's in charge, like she holds some power. She's very loud and is not afraid to voice her own opinion. She will say what's on her mind and it's almost impossible to stop her.

Back story: When Liz was eight, her 17-year-old brother killed her parents one night after coming home drunk from a party. She remembers him screaming at them about how they ruined his life. She quickly went to lock herself in the bathroom to call the police. Before she had dialed the number, there were four consecutive gunshots and the door slamming.
Her brother did go to prison, but he managed to weasel his way out of his life-sentence. Liz was living with her grandparents at the time, though things were hard. Her grandfather had lung cancer, and it was usually a struggle to get by. When she heard that her brother got out of prison three years ago, her first instinct was 'justice.' She shot him through the head that night.
She went to prison in Florida Department of Corrections. She was released five months ago due to a few sympathizers.

Secret: She has a journal that she keeps. It's not really a journal, as what she keeps in it is complete profiles of those around her. Sketches of their faces, personality traits, et cetra. She doesn't let anybody see it, though she uses it as a safety guide to try recognize what everybody's next move might be.

Fear: She's incredibly afraid of being betrayed by anybody she gets too close to. She knows that this is all just some big game, that they'll all end up dead. She's no master serial killer, and she's very afraid of anybody more skilled than her. She doesn't want to fall for anybody or get too close, but that's exactly what she's afraid she might do.

Appearance: Julie is a very tall and lean woman, she has deep bleu eyes and long dark hair she likes too keep in a single braid. she has a nervous twich and its to always tuck her long bangs behind her ears

Personality: Julie is a very bubbly person, she is known to be a drama queen also extramly cunning and brilliant

Why they wanted to be part of this program: she badly needed money

Backstory:after graduting university late, her job was cut beacue of the recetion, she was offerd this possition to study the cadidates. she accepted after her water was turned off becuase she didnt pay her bills. she was desprate for money. so desprate that she killed her husband for the money he left her at his will, she pulled it off without even being a suspect in her husbands murder.

Fear: like alot of other people she has an irashinall fear of spiders, but her greatest fear she always keep to herslef was solitude, she hated not being with anyone, also the dark gives julie the creeps

Name: James Harking

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Job: Unemployed

Appearance: He had short and spiked up light brown hair, he is a fair build and wears a pinstriped suit and tie his brother gave him to wear to a job interview.

Personality: Split personality, he’s normally a calm person who is a bit jumpy, but he other half Kane is the opposite. He is aggressive and has more control over James. But James took the blame for the murder that Kane committed.

Back story: He grew up in Los Angeles, up till he witnessed the murder of his mother at the age of 13, he lived a quiet life with his mother and older brother till that day. His father left when James was young in a war. Up until he turned 17 he went to a psychiatrist due to the split personality he created. When he was 17 he used to carry a switchblade around everywhere, after school he saw the man who killed his mother, he blacked out and awoke with blood covering his hands and the switchblade rammed into the mans chest and his throat was slit.

Secret: The split personality is his main secret, and so is the murder. He also has pills he has to take two every ten to twelve hours to suppress Kane.

Fear: If he loses his pills and Kane takes full control of him and James gets killed, thrown in prison or worst, he kills again.

Other: He is a chain smoker, but doesn’t drink alcohol.

personality: he is a calm person. He does not talk much and he spends time alone. Frederick is passive, acting only from someones orders but he decide whether to act or not to the action. he is strong to beliefs and can defend. If beliefs are attack, he chuckle. He tries to avoid any disagreements and seeks resolution on them. He controls his emotions and is slightly confident. He often have a warm attitude to people.

back story: he was engaged to a girl name Angel. She was the first girl who he actually knew well. Before that, he was aloof avoiding people due to the fact that he hates to be bullied or have disagreements with people. With his time with Angel, he began to move out of his shell. But three years after they met, she died after their car crash into a ravine. Driven by sorrow, he believe that he was the cause of her death. He was prosecuted and to move away from his first life, he secluded himself and slowly went into the vocation.

Secret: he keeps the ring of Angel who he keeps very securely and does not want anyone to take it from him.

Fear: he is paranoid with any word that correlates to the word: "Angel". he is also scared of seeing people in dangerous situation. Though he fears his life, it is lower than his fear of others.
