In this world, when a mother births a child and looks into their face for the first time, she is never suprised. Because every baby born is a male. As time went on, a disease came about. Because of this disease, the X chromozone of sperm disapeared. So the human race could go on, every scienctise focused on one subject; complete gender change.

Now, when they turn 17, the teenager gets to decide whether or not they want to change their gender to female or not. This is set in a boarding school in Europe.

Rules:
No graphic sex scenes. Seriously people. There can be romance.
No God-mod characters
Humans only
You can have up to two characters.

This is my character:

Name: Ashley Knight (goes by Ash)

Age: 16

Gender: male

Appearance: *see below*

Personality: He’s very bitter because people often mistake him for a girl. Normally he’s very quiet and is thinking a lot. When he does speak, which is rarely, he only says a few words that is straight to the point. If you get to know him, he isn’t that bad but he tells you things how they are no matter how much it would hurt. It isn’t that he likes hurting people, just that he wants them to know things. Ash generally cares about people and hates to see them get hurt.

History: When he was born, his mother almost thought that he was a girl and he was named a very girlish name, though it technically was a male name (meaning ash tree). He grew up as the joke of all of the guys because of his very feminine features. Searching for something to help him claim his manhood, he learned fencing and martial arts. No matter what he did, he wasn't very happy. That was when he discovered music. With his parent's help, he learned how to play piano, guitar, and his mother gave him voice lessons. Ash never had many friends and loathed the view that society gave him and dove further into his music. His parents sent him to this boarding school in hopes that he might gain a social life.

Other:
~Up for love
~Great musician and singer

Name: Avari

Gender: female.

Appearance: very striking. If only she would keep her head up...

Seriously. Almost six feet tall, blue eyes ringed by bottle-green.

History: Arrested when she was twelve, Avari spent most of her time writing. She resented any distraction, writing with anything to hand. She was desperate enough to use a pencil lead.

*Hmm, sounds interesting*

Name: Rous Marthent

Age: 17

Gender: male

Appearance: http://neroscent.deviantart.com/art/Aki ... a-58598320

Personality: Quiet, shy, and very secluded. Secretly he wants to talk, but it always seems that it's never a good time or that no one would want to hear. Rous spends his time indoors and draws or paints, never really getting time to go outside. He'll sometimes sulk around feeling sickly from having getting sick so many times.

History: From the time he was born: he's been quiet. His father was very strick and if something didn't go the way he liked, Rous would be locked into a "special room" (white walls, no windows, dead silent) for a few hours. He ran away many times, but came back from not having any way of feeding himself.

Other: Up for love, quick footed

This false world is but transitory,
The flesh is weak, the Fiend is slee

Jordan
Age:16
Appearance: short, dark hair and eyes, long fingers and thin frame.
Personality: Talkative but otherwise introspective. Doesn't let on a lot about himself, or what he's really feeling, or knows. Covers it up with a layer of meaningless, friendly upbeat ramble. Inside he is observant and wary, highly suspicious attitude towards others. Assumes the worst of most situations, though omit to say it.

History: He grew up in the poorer part of town. Hasn't gone through any truly traumatic experiences, but living rough as a child and being picked on at school has given him a hard edge.

Other: Is always seen with a camera in hand.
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.

Name: Ballow Linx
Age: 17

Gender: (Hasn't chosen yet) Male
Appearance: http://setokakashiluver.deviantart.com/ ... e-75975536

Personality: Ringo is a very serious guy, who rarely smiles, but when he does its like the sun is shining only on you. He has very strict morals and high beliefs. He is very solemn and all around the strong silent guy who never really gets the attention, the one who never gets any praise even though he is doing his best consistently. Actually he is very near breaking point, currently because of the unappreciated life he has lived. He might just very well snap at you, because of this. His all but fed up now, though he will always wear a morbid expression. Its hard to get any sort of reaction out of him.

History: Though with a fairly high IQ he has never got any attention, any praise or any appreciation of any sort and slowly he is getting fed up. All his life he has tried his hardest though there had always been someone who was better than him, making his constantly second best for everything. His parents don't understand why he is like this and not socialising like others his age and that makes it even worse, they keep on urging him to, "Be more like that person" mentioning one of the people who was always better than him.

McKenzie

Ahh, great. I looked down at my schedule as I tried to navigate around my new school. Of course, the first class I have is counselling with Mrs. Young. I could just see it now, my parent‘s making a personal phone call to make sure that I see a counsellor, such as the highly praised Mrs. Young, for the continuation of my forever-lonely education.

I hugged my books tightly as I tried to walk around the student body, looking down at my black leather boots.
I was easily mistaken for thin air - invisible.
I passed Mrs. Young’s office without hesitation, wandering aimlessly. Turning down a corridor lined with mirrors, I looked into the eyes of a new person, a female. My face had not changed, but I always looked like a supposedly attractive female, but my body, it just felt different. I was a woman now, simply because my parents had high connections with the government and certain doctors that preformed my surgery against my will. I guess I cannot really complain I probably would have chosen this rout anyway, I just never thought my parents would still want to get rid of me afterwards.

Once outside I looked up into the sun as I sat down against the stone school, hidden by trees, nobody would find me skipping class here. I let the cool breeze blow my hair back away from my normally hidden face. Lifting my book up, I began to go through the endless stream of professional photography, admiring one shot after another, imagining how I myself would have taken the shot, what I would have done differently.

“Ouch,” I complained, as my book went flying in the air, landing on a stranger who had just come bolting around the corner, tumbling over me.
This is what happens when you’re invisible, I thought.

Ballow

A book hit my head and I immediately raised my arms just in case more followed, and as I fell I closed my eyes. None came. Turning my attention to the origin of the attack I met eyes with a girl about my age with long brown silky hair and beautiful alluring emerald eyes.

I glanced at her before standing up and dusting off the dirt I had collected. Letting out a sigh I stood with my back turned to her. Maybe she would think I didn't notice her and let me off the hook. A piece of guilt lodged itself into my heart and unwillingly I turned around to gaze at her.

She seemed to be hiding behind a book, a shy look on her face as her eyes darted around the side checking to see if I were still there. Casually I picked up her book and then looking up we locked eyes.

Sighing I put out a hand, "I'm Ballow. You are?"

Her eyes widened, as if thinking I was actually talking to her. Keeping my face expressionless I sunk down onto the ground next to her and rested my head into my arms. Pressure from school suddenly lifted and I breathed in free air.

The girl was looking at me, "I'm McKenzie."

I bit my lip still staring at the ground. A question which had been annoying me for about half a year now arose in my mind, "Have you regretted chosing to be a girl?"

Silence ensued. I wondered if I had asked the wrong question.

I sat there completely at shock with the situation; for the first time since I had become a girl somebody had noticed me. Not only that but they looked me in the eye.

The wind continued to rustle through the trees before us, making their way through each and everyone of Ballow’s gentle layers of thick black hair. My heart began to pulse at a million beats per minute. I pushed my body back up against the cold wall again. Grabbing my books and forcing them to hold my heart inside my chest.

Have you regretted choosing to be a girl? I replayed the question in my scattered brain.
It was the one question in society that has always been hushed. Ballow was breaking all the rules of a standard first conversation. I would have suspected him to ask me next if I need help finding my first class, but no. There seemed to be nothing normal about him, which undoubtedly got the best of my nerves.

In attempt to calm my rattled nerves, I resorted to my normal manoeuvre of pulling my hair around the edges of my face and disappearing behind them. I tried to formulate a reasonably sane response to his question but I didn‘t have an answer.

He sat there, his strong shoulders hunched forward as he continued to stare expressionless at the ground. He must be where the majority of men are, wondering if they should make the change or not. I expect that if I were in his shoes, I would be asking the same thing. If I had the choice to make myself, I would want to know the outcome that others have been faced with. Unfortunately, for him, he had asked the only person on this earth that had been forced into the change.

“I can’t answer that, I can’t tell you if I regretted it or not,” I said softly, looking in the opposite direction, “I was never much of a boy, I’ve always had this face,” I said ashamed. “As for the choice, not everybody has one.”

A tear betrayed my trust and trickled down my cheek, slowly mocking my control over my emotions. I didn’t turn to look at him, I couldn’t. I’d never been the one capable of human contact; I’ve been driven away from it thanks to my parents.

There was a part of me that just wanted to release all of the tension that was building up in my muscles and fall onto the strangers capable shoulder, fall and release this new pain.
Where is this all coming from? I closed my eyes tightly, trying to contain the last tears pushing at my eyelids.

“Don’t you have class?” I chocked past a lump in my throat, still keeping my voice in a soft muted tone like normal. I did not dare look back into his steel blue eyes.

[Rous Marthent]

"No, I am not taking that!" I fell against the wall and started stumbling towards a different hallway. "No... y-you can't... make me!"

An irritated sigh followed behind, "Rous, you have to take this medicine or you're going to pass out again like last time."

I pushed off the moldy-lemon colored walls and staggered to a run, slowlly getting quicker and quicker. An echo of my footsteps followed behind me. I glanced back and saw one of the school nurses chasing, panting in her stiff, white uniform.

"Hah! Try and catch up!" I yelled, sprinting now.

Turn a corner. Take a right. Don't take a sharp turn and--- BAM!. There was the initial slap of pain to my forehead, and then the second to the back of my head. I felt my dark hair fall against my face, the scent of floor wax lifting up.

There was a scream and a loud, "Hey!" I turned over and squinted my eyes at the bright lights above. The nurse came around, panting, and holding a bottle of swishing, red liquid. I groaned at my pounding head. When I could finally see, I saw three people. One girl, one guy, one nuse.
