Gabe

I walked up to Selene. "Don't you think we should be rounding up more Fey? You realize the army has thousands."

"Yeah," she said, sighing. "I suppose we do need to go get more."

"I know the place to go," Claudia said, grinning, "And it's not some crap bar. We're going to be going to the RF."

"And we're supposed to know what that is?" Selene said, annoyed.

"Rebel Fey," Claudia said, smiling wider. "The ones who actually like humans."

I stepped out of Kelis grip. I froze seeing a vision of Mike lying unconciousness in a pool of blood and turned and ran out of the Vine my feet hitting the ground one after another sobbing pushing myself past my limits pushing myself as hard as I could my throat burning but I just pushed myself harder.

I blinked in surprise as Selene randomly ran off, looking almost as if she was crying. Well, that wouldn't do, would it? I followed her immediately, shouting something about coming back later to Claudia as I sped down the street.

Jeez, where had she gotten to? Damn girl could run fast, I could tell you that. I finally found her curled up in a nearby alley, sobbing quietly.

I crouched down, patting her shoulder gently. "What's up?"

I bit my lip and turned away. 'Fey tricks its all just fey tricks.' I reminded myself keeping my gaze averted. I got up and ran the other way sprinting as fast as I could. My record for the mile 4 times around the track was 1 minute 45 seconds and I was determined to push past that. I kept running hearing Keli follow me. I ran to Gabes house praying that he had left the door open and found out he did. I slipped inside and kept my back pressed against the door. "Selene? Where are you?" I heard Keli call. I held my breath my heart beating like a frightened rabbits. I heard him wander off not getting that close to the house and I breathed out a sigh of relief.

Gabe

I had been in the bathroom. And, like all times, I had missed a ton of stuff. "They just ran off," Claudia said, shrugging. "She was crying really hard."

"Shi-" I said, but was cut off by Claudia.

"Should we go look for her?" she asked, tilting her head. She was testing me, I just didn't know what the test was.

"Yeah, definately!" I said. I doubted we would find her, though.

I sat in front of the door and closed my eyes. I sang to myself " Sparkling grey,
They're my own veins.

And I know, I know I'll have to watch them pass away

"Selene!!" I shouted out, hopefully loud enouhg for her to hear. "Selene!! It's not fair if you keep hiding! You can't always run away, alright! And you know I can't follow you in there!"

There was no reply. I scowled in frustration, calling out on last time. "SELENE!!!"

Just then, Gabe and Claudia came running up. They'd probably heard me shouting and followed the sound of my voice. "Have you found her?" one of them asked.

I put my hands over my ears and started to rock sobbing out loud.

Gabe

"Have you found her?" I asked hurriedly.

"No. She's hiding. No idea whats she's up too..." Keli looked nervous for her. Very nervous. And if a Fey looks that way... my stomach turned.

"Let's split up and search," Claudia said immediately.

I thought of where Selene went in times of trouble with Fey. She wouldn't have gone to her house... but what about mine? My Fey-proof house? "Be right back," I whispered. We split up.

I ran towards my house and opened the door. "Selene? Selene, are you there?"

Gabe bursts in and I offer him a weak watery smile tears still streaming down my cheeks. "Hey Gabe." I said chokingly.

I ran towards Selene. "What happened?" I asked, grabbing her hand. "Why did you run off? What did you see?"

"Mike in a pool of blood I couldn't tell if he was breathing or not." I choke out. I break down and fling myself into Gabes arms. He seems shocked at first but then wraps his arms around me.

I wrapped my arms around Selene. "It was just a vision sent by Fey, it's going to be alright," I whispered.

"But what if it wasn't," she sobbed.

"It'll be alright," I whispered. "I swear."

I sit up and take a couple deep breaths wiping my eyes. "I'm fine. Thanks Gabe." I said my voice still shaky. "SELENE!!!" Kelis very pissed off voice shouts from in front of the house. I flinch and start to shake like a leaf. "Please get rid of him." I beg clasping my hands in front of me. "Please." I add.
