The Moosehead Tavern [1]

I smiled, "Yeah." I laughed, my lips still that Rose red color. "Is Nic coming?" I asked resting my arms on the counter.

Nic walks in the door at the mention of his name and sneaks up on the both of them, laughing when they squeal.

"Happy Birthday to you." He says to Rayah, then looks to Jace. "And hello again to you."

"Hey Nic!" I get up and hug him. "How have you been?" I asked.

"I'm dealing." Nic smiles, taking a seat on the other side of Rayah and ordering a Coke. "How 'bout you two?"

"Good. Just got back from War yesterday." I said smiling. "Jace has been here, I think."

"Yes, i have." Jace smiles.

Nic nods. "A war. That sucks."

I nodded, "Yeah. Against Hades." I smiled. "Does Nic know? About who my mother is?" I turned to Jace.

Jace shrugs and looks at Nic, who isn't as lost as one might assume.

"Aphrodite." Nic sips his soda. "Wild guess. True, yes?"

"Yes...How did you know?" I asked smiling.

"I've run into a few demigods before." Nic replies. "After Jace and I were split up. They explained everything to me."

"Ah...Cool." I smiled and took a sip of my drink. "Were have you been?"

"I've been around." Nic says. "I had to make sure Spinx and my dad were out of the picture before trying to find you both again. Then Jace found me for a day and we talked a little."

"Good." I smiled again. "I'm happy you could make it, I haven't seen you in a while." I said.

Nic smiles back and nods. "Same here, godling."

I shook my head, "Wow." I smiled, "You know that power thing you have? The one where you form stuff in your fists? If you have it, then why doesn't Jace?" I asked.
