Kiara - Zeus's Cabin
The warmth of the sunlight streamed through the window, falling across Kiara's face. She opened her eyes, and quickly shut them against the light. With her eyes closed, she sat up on her bed, and crossed her legs, trying to remember what her dream had been. The pictures were disappearing fast. More faster than she can remember them. Eventually she stopped trying, and opened her eyes.
She looked around her cabin. The only other person whom she shared her cabin with was Xander, and he usually got up a lot earlier than she did. His bed was, as usual messy and empty. Although she knew that both of them shared the same father, he was a lot more different that she was, and she never really understood him enough to be friends with him. A polite smile or a helping hand was all there ever had been between them.
Kiara got up from her bed and straightened it. Then went to her dresser and opened it. Before choosing an outfit, she glanced out the window, making a mental note on the weather and then selected a bright yellow dress with a white collar, and went straight to the bathroom.
Placing the clothes on a holder, she stared into the full length mirror in the bathroom. Her bright blue eyes stared back at her. She frowned at her waist-length, golden hair which was messed up. She took off her night dress and stepped into the shower.
After five minutes, she stepped out of the cabin, wearing her dress and a necklace with a pink heart on it. This had been a gift from her mother for her thirteenth birthday, and she never left the cabin without it.
Now, the only make up she bothered to put on was a pink lip gloss. She felt that that was enough and thought that all other make up was ridiculous.
The minute she went outside, she heard a group of people talking loudly nearby. Or were they fighting? She walked towards them, while carefully noting down the people standing there. She noticed that two girls from the Aphrodite and Ares were right in the thick of it. The girl from Ares, Lyn had been her friend for nearly an year now, and the girl from Aphrodite, Kiara only knew by her appearance.
Carefully avoiding the stares of the Hades kids, she went up to the girls, breathing in the scent of soap and perfume coming from them.
"What's going on?"
