I listen as Tige talks about the games. I can see Tige fighting furiously and walking away every time a winner. I close my eyes for a minute and can hear fans screaming as they watch the battle. I wonder how many dolls went to watch these games.

"When did the games end?" I ask.

"When the dolls passed the law," Tige says.

"Just a few years after I was born," Everlee says from beside Skylar.

"I would have loved to see one," I say outloud with wishfull thinking.

"Well," Jared says. I look over to him. He and Tess finally had ended their bickering. "We could always have one between us." It was silent for just a moment.

"I love that idea," Tess says finally, looking directly at Jared.

"Uh, this isn't a good idea," Everlee says a bit worried.

"Oh come on!" Tess begs. "We wont kill eachother."

Everlee still looks worried, but she nods. "Ok, but try not to really hurt eachother either."

Jared:

Tess shouted "Yes!" And even did a little fist pump. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. I thinks she's going to kill me. I thought silently. I could feel Amy nodding. Tess ran back inside to go talk to Nyx about their strategy, while I went to go talk to Amy about my funeral.
No doubt the Rings were fun, and I was really good, but Tess was great, and had an inclination towards making me hurt. Don't ask me why.

Elise:

I smile at the idea of battling eachother. It's a great way of separating our powers from eachother . I smile at Myrtle, who was perched on my shoulder. Myrtle nodded. I could sense the fear in Skylar. It wa obvious, since he was fingering his sword.

"Okay, we'll all pick our opponents based on numbers," I suggested. "That way, it will be easier."

( I have Vuzzy's permission to add a new character, I want to be a rouge too! :D)

Name: Rayden Thorn
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Doll or Rogue: Rouge
Appearance: Rayden is tall 6'5" and lean. he has a quick smile and roguish blue eyes.
Spoiler
Rayden thorn.jpg
Rayden thorn.jpg (29.44 KiB) Viewed 308 times
Rayden sports a pair of tattoos on his left upper arm and entire back. on his arm is the sun and his back the phoenix.
Spoiler
's tattoos.jpg
's tattoos.jpg (26.3 KiB) Viewed 308 times

Skills: Rayden has excellent vision due to his relationship with his pet Dante who is a phoenix, or fire bird. Being a fire rouge Rayden is more fire resistant than most and his skin will not burn until extremely high temperatures, so he is almost fireproof. Rayden is able to summon fire and his favorite method of doing this is breathing fire, because it frightens the Dolls more (he likes to put on a show of aggression so people leave him alone) Because he is a very powerful rouge, rebel and a natural born leader the Government have labeled him a high level threat and #1 target for any bounty hunters. His natural body temperature is hotter than a normal persons and he has trouble summoning fire when he is soaking wet.
Dante is a phoenix and can change size due to how angry/aggressive he is feeling or the amount of fire he and Rayden are producing. He is normally the size of a macaw parrot but can grow to the size of a single engine airplane. In his weapon form Dante is a full length double ended scythe.
Spoiler
Dante.jpg
Dante.jpg (53.64 KiB) Viewed 308 times
the ends can be engulfed in flames depending on how angry both Dante and Rayden are.
Personality: (Be descriptive.) Rayden is energetic and naturally cheerful. He prefers to see his glass half full than half empty. He makes friends easily and has a way with people. He is easy to make laugh, has a good sense of humor but can be quite sarcastic. Normally easy going but when angered he has a high hot temper. His abilities are directly linked to how angry he is, so if he's angered stand far far away! he tends to hold onto guilt, he needs to make retributions for what he perceives as his "sins"
History: Rayden lived with his family who owned a farm until the law was passed when his whole family went into hiding. They were betrayed by a friend soon after and the soldiers raided their hiding spot. His younger sister Seena helped him escape the soldiers who came to take him away but she was taken away instead. He has never forgiven himself this, even more so when he found out she now serves the government as a soldier. He has sworn he will find a way to make it up to her and to mend their broken family. He is a covert operative and helps families with rouges in them to find safer homes and get the the proper papers and other such sneaky and very illegal business.
Relationship: Rayden is straight and is open for a relationship, but be warned ladies! he is very protective and adorably possessive of his lady.
Other: He plays the guitar very well and he carries one with him at all times. (he uses it as a signal for escapees) he can sing as well and has a love for music that Dante has yet to comprehend completely. Rayden also has an never ending addiction to cake, it doesn't matter what kind he loves them all!

(is this alright Vuzzy? I can change anything you want me to.)

Davnick (So sorry, havent been able to post yet.... fail.)

Ugh, I hate mornings. I think, sitting up. I'd slept on the ground, with no sleeping pad. Again. I hate that too. I noted, standing and streching. Perhaps I should make a list of things I hate. Mornings. Sleeping on the ground. Dolls. Rogues, for that matter. I hate fire. I hate bears.

I hate myself most of all.

And with THAT cheery thought, whats for breakfast?

Nothing. Like yesterday. And the day before that. MAN this freaking Rogue I'm tracking is diminishing my supplies. Well, has deminished them. But the chace will be over soon. She, and I'm sure it's a she, is in the next town. If she follows her normal killing patterns, she'll still be there well into the night, slaughtering Dolls. I'll arrive at the village in the early afternoon, and this will all be over before sunset! Raid the bakery, the butchers shop, and have a good meal. Find the inn and-

Somebody is watching me. I continue my stretching casually, covertly piviting so Fang is on the ground right in front of me. I scan the woods surrounding the small clearing I slept in. I cant see hide or hair of whoever's looking. Okay then. Sonar it is.

I have never figured out how I do what I do. It's like flexing a muscle, or walking or breathing. It just comes naturally. I don't flip a switch to use sonar, I.... relax. That isn't exactly what I do, but it's close enough. I close my eyes, and my mind lets go. Suddenly, I can see again. Waves of sound eminate from... my forehead? My chest? I can never tell ecactly. But I can read the waves, and see.

There are three men. One directly in front of me, two behind. The two behind split up, so the three form a triangle, surrounding me. They stand just far enough away that I couldn't see them if I was looking directly at them. Smart. Now that I know they're there, I can smell them. Dolls.

All at once, the three charge, screaming into the clearing. I'm bent in a crouch, presumably still streching. Too easy. I open my eyes, snatch Fang off the ground, and launch myself ten feet straight up in the air. The cries below me cut short, and gasps take their place. I flip myself so my head is facing the ground, my arms outstreched. I rotate my wrist so Fang is paralell to the ground, and my stomach jumps as I begin to decend. The three men gaze up at me, clearly terrifyed.

I scan their dirty faces, and take in their rugged clothing. Bandits. I think. They didn't even realize they were attacking a Rogue. Fools. I come down in the middle of the three, who havent moved since I launched. I'll go easy on them. I swing Fang out, nearly decapitating the first bandit. I pivit gracefully and launch myself at the second. I leave him gurgling, Fang's hidden daggar sunk deep in his chest.

By now, a few seconds have gone by, and the third bandit is raising his weapon. I bat it away effortlessly, and split him from shoulder to pelvis. His eyes are full of shock as he looks down at his ruined, bleeding chest. He looks up at me and tries to say something. His eyes unfocus, and he falls before he can do more than gasp.

I look down at him coldly, feeling no remorse. They attacked me, they lost. Thats life. You survive.

Or you die.

(Okay decided to write a little Rayden today. (I'm already calling him ray-ray in my mind how sad is that!?)
He's in the capitol city for a while, so don't kill yourselves to find a way to introduce him :D. If anyone has an idea for entering him PM me, I'm open for suggestions. :D

Rayden Thorn:

One thing in this world I will never understand is how some people are incapable of brewing a decent cup of coffee. What's so hard about it? Grounds and hot water, that's it nothing special. You let it steep a while, then viola! you have coffee.
Of course people like different things in their coffee but I'm not talking about that. I'm just talking about the plain base.

I had been steered to this cafe by a friend. (I use the term loosely.) He told me they had a great coffee- He lied. He was a law enforcement officer, they seem to have a penchant for bad coffee.

From where I'm sitting, I can clearly see the capitol buildings of the government which would love to see me hanged. I have to smile, if those old devils only knew where I was sitting they'd have a conniption.

I've been told that I'm crazy risking my neck coming into this city, but I have to. There are still so many Rouges a hairs breath away from being discovered. So many families on the brink of being ripped apart, which I will not allow while I still draw breath.

“Stop thinking about it!” I felt a sharp peck on my shoulder. Dante was glaring at me with his orange glittering eyes. When nether of us were using out power he sat on my shoulder looking like some exotic parrot-like bird, which to some extent he was.

“Alright, alright your right.” Dante rolled his eyes.

“You bet your boots I'm right! You start thinking about bad memories and then you get moody and if you go unchecked your eyes start leaking seawater. So stop right now, the man we're meeting should be coming around soon. Have you thought about how your going to get them all out? I'm surprised you agreed to do the whole family at once, six people is a pretty big risk...even for you.”

I shrugged, and looked around. The father of the family I was helping was nowhere in sight. I looked up at the clock tower across the square, it was a quarter after eleven. He was late-not a good sign.

I shifted my seat making sure I had a clear shot into the busy street, I had been set up one to many times to be caught at unawares.

“Rayden look.” Dante prodded me. I looked up in the direction of his mental poke. A middle aged nervous looking man was making his way across the street towards the cafe.

“Is that the man?” Dante asked cocking his head to one side. “He doesn't look like the defying the law type.”

I smiled and scratched his head.

“He's a parent willing to do anything to protect his children.”

The man came into the cafe and began looking around at all the other patrons seated about. His eyes were darting about like a frightened rabbit and I could tell even from this distance he was sweating bullets.

“I don't like this Rayden, that mans too skittish.”

Dante shifted uncomfortably, I had to agreed with him, something wasn't adding up.

Jared:

We had been setting up for the Rings for only an hour or so, and I had been growing progressivly more and more anxious, and stupid. But then again I was stupid, and I should be feeling anxious. I mean, Tess' excitment at fighting me was making me nervous.
We were finally ready. We had set up a ring of sticks in a large circle in the middle of town square, and had put some old chairs we had found for Skylar and Seena to sit in and watch.
Me and Tess were going first, which made me even more nervous.
"Alright, you know the rules!" Everlee shouted. "Knock down the other competator first to win. As we don't want to be discovered, we will be going only one on one. No stepping outside of the ring or you lose. Alright, ready?"
"Yes!" tess said, giving me a very creepy death smile.
"I guess." I said, which was a lie. I wasn't ready.
At all.
Tess and I stepped into the ring while the others cheered us on. I gulped and kind of got ready for the pain.
"BEGIN!" Everlee shouted and ran out of the ring as fast as possible, because the moment she had signaled us to start, Tess had a flying icicle at my head, almost hitting Everlee in the face. She yelled at Tess, but I doubt she heard her over my screaming. I dodged and blew a dust storm towards her. She began to wipe at her eyes, and I took my chance.
I ran forward, sending gusts of winds at every step. I smiled as soon as she was in range, and moved my wind beneath her, lifting her up and off the ground I moved my little air cushion towards the edge, but nyx flew in and skwacked right in my ear. She fell to the ground and smiled.
"Hey! That's cheating!" I shouted. Go behind her and trip her outside of the ring. I told Amy while I complained.
"Actually, it's completely fair. But, seriously Tess, don't kill him." Tess made a look of pure injustice and grumbled something under her breath.
Perfect. Amy was behind her. I sent a gust of wind, and she took a step back. She began falling outside of the ring, but she made a small pile of ice beneath her that pushed her back up. You know what, forget this. I sent the biggest wind storm I could, which was as strong as a tornado, blowing her right out of the ring.
I was going easy on her, hoping that that would make her like me, but that didn't work, so then I thought that maybe me going easy on her was making her feel weak, so I decided to go as hard as I could.
Fail.
With a capitol 'F'.
She walked back from a few streets down after Everlee anounced that I was the winner. That was the most frightning thing I had ever seen. I ran and hid behind Everlee, and suddenly Tess walking around the corner wasn't the scariest thing. Everlee and Tess were worse.

(Hope this is what you imagined for the Rings! Because I wasn't sure.)

Everlee

Jared ran and hid behind me, like I was going to protect him from Tess. I rolled my eyes and took a step to the side. Tess looked like she wanted to kill Jared, but she stood up straight, held her chin high, and walked over to the seats and sat down. I turned around and faced Jared.

"I thought I said spacifically that we need to keep it down," I said.

"Sorry," Jared said quietly. I shook my head, glad that we were so far away from any town with actual people in it.

"It's alright, but next time can we please try not to bring down the heavens on our opponent?" Jared nodded quickly and ran over to the seats, sitting on the other side as Tess.

Anybody out there? I asked Darren.

No, it's all clear. He said. I could tell he wanted to come back and play the games himself. I smiled.

Come on back, we're next. Darren's speed picked up and he practically sprinted back to the town.

"Tess and Jared, will you please send Amy and Nynx out on patrol?" Tess grunted but I saw Nynx fly off. "Alright," I began, looking at everyone else. "Who wants to fight me?"

I woke up to a pain in my emty tummy. I rubbed my eyes and looked around the abandon village house we were temporarily staying in. Poca must have gone out to look for food again. I thought to myself. It had been a few days since we had came to the village and at first, everything was so happy! We had shelter, warmth, food, and Poca suprised me with a pretty new dress! But our food supply was running very low...almost entirly gone. To make matters worse, the only food found in the village was soiled or filthy. I hadn't had anything to eat since yesturday lunch. Maybe Poca found something yummy that hasn't gone bad yet. I thought hopefully.

Just then Poca climbed through a crack in the wall, her size now back to it's normal tiny self. She stopped in front of me and looked up at my face. Her eyes were filled with sorrow and she shook her head.
No food. Searched everywhere-but...couldn't find-any. I smiled and tried to cheer her up.
That's okay! We can always try another abandon village, or hunt, or find some mushrooms. We will be fine, we just have to keep looking! Poca sighed and put on a forced smile.
Yes, don't worry...we will-find...food. I noticed her sentences were getting more and more understandable by the day.
Your are getting alot better at sending me thoughts, Poca! I thought happily in an attempt to change the conversation to a more cheerful subject.
Yea...I -can-almost talk-clearly...now. Poca said plainly, still focusing on the lack of food.
Yea! I think our powers are starting to get older! Er...mature or somthing. Maybe, just maybe you will be able to go into a weapon form soon! I thought excitedly, clasping my hands together and giving a little jump. Poca's ears twitched and hope sparked in her eyes.

One of the many restrictions in our powers was that Poca couldn't take a weapon form. So, the only means we had to protect ourselves with was my fear-induced shock/stun waves, my little tornadoes, Poca's teeth and claws, and finally, Poca's tail spikes. The spikes only came out of Poca's tail when she was in a bigger form, but they were long, unbreakable, and thin; which allowed them to sail through the air with ease, and strike deadly accuatly. Poca could release up to 20 at a time, which would then grow back within seconds. The only problem was that using these spikes took up a lot of energy. Poca could only pull out her spikes if me and Poca were well fed and healthy. And right now, we were out of food and our health was rapidly decreasing.

I-wonder...what weapon-I...would-be. Poca thought dreamily.
I hope-it...will-be something...of great-use. That-way...I could-protect..you-better.
I smiled and stroked her ear.
Better? How could you possible get any better at protecting me? Poca purred as I scratched behind her ears and neck.
I-want...to-keep...you safe. Poca mumbled sleepily. I picked her up and held her out in front of me.
But I am safe! No one is in this village to hurt us. And even if they were, you could easily fight them off! We are completely safe here! Poca looked at me, her eyes serious.
I...can't-fight off...starvation.

Oh, I'm not starving! Not even close! Don't worry about me; I'm not even hungry at all! My words were wasted as a deep growl sounded from my tummy. Poca smirked a little and laughed.
Fail.
I pulled my hair over my face to hide my blushing and I stummbled over my words.
That-that wasn't a hungry growl...it was a...uh...a full-tummy growl! Yes, that's it; my tummy was telling me it was full! I tried. Poca shook her head and sighed.
Why-do you..try-to..lie-when I-know...you-are...lying? Don't deny-the...obviouse. Especialy to-me.
My head drooped in defeat. She was right. I always tried to hide the truth even when it was pointless. And Poca absolutely hated it.
I'm sorry...I just...don't want you to worry so much about me... I tried to explain. I looked down at the floor with my hair covering my face, unable to look her in the eyes. Poca sighed again and tried to peek through my hair.
I-wouldn't...worry so-much...if-you-told...me the-truth.
I remained silent. I tried to keep my thoughts from Poca, but I think she heard them anyway.
After a moment of silence, I finally spoke.
We should try to find some food somewhere else then...before it gets too late. I wasn't looking at Poca, but I could feel her glaring at me.
You...changed-the-subject...again. Poca growled. Then she flipped her head and started toward the door.
But...you-are right. Lets-get-going.

(Don't use Sheara or Poca just yet, please! I hope this is okay!)
Ninja. Enough said.

I walked out of the last house on the street and faced the lights that were the houses that I hadn't reached yet. There were five of them, one in the middle of the village, and the four corners of the village. The sun would soon be rising, and not one person in this village would live to see it. Not one doll, that is. The rogue family I had found would wake up confused, and maybe terrified, but safe.

I step out of a small shadow cast by a withered tree, looking after the large grey-white wolf that just sprinted by. A Pet. Probably running to its Rogue. I wonder if he belongs to whoever almost blew down that village a few minutes ago? There seem to be several Rogues over there...

I shrug off my curiousity. Right now I'm after one Rogue, and she is only three miles ahead. She felt that burst of Wind energy, I bet my life on it. Which means shes going to be on her guard, if she has any skill at all. Time to run.

I open an energy channel between myself and Fang's smaller blade. I feel lighter, quicker, quieter. I start to sprint in the direction of the next village, my back to where the wolf Pet, and the abandoned village where Rogues were battling. My feet fly across the ground, and the world around me blurs. I am fast and deadly, just like Fang's daggar.

I run undisturbed for about a mile, when a small group of people appear over the crest of a hill. I dive for a small tree before any of them can spot me. The tree itself isn't nearly wide enough to hide me, but its shadow, streching across the ground, will provide ample space for my Vanishing. I step into the shadow, and pull. I dont know if I go down or the shadow comes up, but I wrap myself in its cooling darkness. The group makes its way down the hill.

There are five men, seven women, and three children. They look tired, like they've been running. The largest man in the group is talking, and I strain to hear what he's saying.

"We need to make it to another village, and rally the support of the people there. Then, we'll come back and kill that Rogue!"

"Nobody can even see it. It slaughtered everybody Mathew. There is nobody left. How do we fight that?" Says a woman, cradling a young child in her arms. She's on the brink of tears.

"We'll find a way Clare. We just have to-" Red splashes from his neck as... something slits his throat. He falls to the cround with a gurgle as another man in the group sprouts a blossom of blood from his chest.

What the?! What is going on!? Two more Dolls are dead, and I still have no idea what's doing it. Desperate, I switch on sonar, to see if that will reveal the killer.

It does. A girl, maybe seventeen, is running around, slitting throats, piercing hearts, and basically killing every Doll in the group in a deadly, strategic mannor. She heads for the screaming Clare, who clutches her child to her chest. I wish I could close my eyes as she plunges her daggar through the child and into its mother. They both hit the ground, dead.

Thats enough. I may not like Dolls, but senseless slaughter like this is wrong. I release the shadows hiding me, but keep my sonar going. The girl is buisy finishing off the last, struggling man. I draw Fang and come up behind her. I don't care if they want you alive. You aren't killing anybody else. I raise Fang, and prepare to bring him down on the girl.
