Jack Black:

I sat myself next to some girl. At home, whatever days I actually came to school, I sat by myself since my friends at the time never attended. But I decided it would look kind of hoodlumish and I've been trying to get away from yet another gang.

I had nothing but a sprite. I never had food at home so I just grew accustomed to only eating very little.

Forgetting I wasn't at home with my old friends I slid a cigarette into my mouth and uncapped the lid of the sprite. They all gave me an appalled look "What? I'm not smoking it." The girl Summer shifted uncomfortably and looked down at her food.

Olivia just rose her eyebrows. I did nothing but sit there and listen. I never talked to anyone really. Normally listened. That's how you can find danger.

I got out of my seat about five minutes and said "Anyone got science next? I hear we're working with bunsen burners today." A kid I forget the name of said "Um, well I did just say that." Nodding I said "Yeah, and I heard it. Anyone?" I stuffed the cigarette into the pocket of my leather jacket.

I wandered down the canteen aisle aimlessly, looking for a seat. I'd gotten held up leaving maths earlier, and now there was barely any space left. Not only that, I'd been left with a completely rubbish choice of food. Ugh.

I finally spotted a seat next to a moody looking kid who I didn't recognise, but hey, a seat was a seat. I slid next to him silently, starting to munch on my food without a word. Okay, so I was a bit scared; he looked like he might hit me if I breathed wrong.

*Sorry it's so short, but hopefully that'll do, sunstar*

Thanks so much! :D

Theo

A girl came and sat beside me. I had heard someone talk to her but I couldn't remember her name. She looks completely petrified sitting next to me. Did I look that angry? Geez.

"Hey," I said, smiling in the most charming way I could. "I'm Theo."

"Emma," she said, looking a little more comfortable.

"Nice to meet you," I said, grinning.

I relaxed slightly as not-so-grumpy Theo introduced himself. So, maybe he wasn't as scary as I'd anticipated. I gestured to his food. "What's that? It looks way nicer than this."

Theo compared the two for a moment, head tilted. "Yup." he finally agreed. "What is yours even meant to be?"

Staring at my lunch, I contemplated this question for some time. Despite having actually eaten most of it, the answer seemed to evade me. "You know," I replied after a long pause, "I'm not actually sure." I laughed nervously, giving the food a slightly wary look. Next time, I was just going to get a sandwich.

I grinned. "Home-made lunch next time, right?" I asked.

"Right," she said, nodding. "So, what'd you do to end up here?"

"Three words- troublemaker, teachers, new school. Make that four words, then."

"Oh. I see."

"What about you?" I asked. "You here on your own choice or your parents'?"

I grinned sheepishly. "I begged to come here, actually. I love it here..." Theo raised an eyebrow. "That so?"

I laughed again, nodding shyly and quickly finishing off my food. Probably the bell would go soon, and I'd rather eat some unknown substance than go hungry.

"What do you have next?" I asked between mouthfuls.

*Another note to all, before I go to bed: It's a boarding school so remember they'll be having dinner here aswell*

"English," I said. "You?"

"Same," she said, grinning. "D'you like English?"

"Let's just say I tolerate it and I speak it," I said, shrugging as the bell went off. "That's my cue. Wanna come with?"

"Sure," Emma said, grabbing her book bag. "Let's go."

Thomas:

"Mrs.Hobbison?" I called out an average-weight woman, with her glasses on and her curly hair hanging against her small shoulders.

"Yes?" She looked at me with her eyebrow raised. She gave me this peculiar look which transmitted slight chills and goosebumps to my body.

“You’re the choir director, right?”

“Obviously.” She answered dryly.

“I just want to know if there’s still an available room for me in the choir… I want be part of the instrumental group, you know. I play violin, just for a record.” I smiled and felt my hands slightly shaking. I could tell to myself that I was apparently nervous. Her cold stare locked my eyes as if to say she did never want me to be part of the choir.

“Okay.”

“So, do I need to audition or something?” I asked her. The hallway was quite as other students went back for their afternoon classes.

“We’ll see about that. I have a class, mister…?” she paused, asking for my name.

“Thomas Dunn.” I continued. She smiled then turned her back on me and headed off to her class.

Sigh…

That was... well, she's kind-of creepy.

About an hour later, the school bell rings. Most of the other kids would be dismissed, but I was going to choir. When I walk in the choir room, Thomas is there with a violin.

"Thomas, you are in the choir?" I ask.

"As of now. Well, I play violin." He smiles. I realize we are the only two in the room, because we were early.

"I'm a soprano." I say.

"Lead soprano, I hear." Thomas grins. I blush a little.

The choir director had made me lead soprano. That meant I stood in the front, always had first choice at a soprano solo, and was given a special dress to wear at concerts.

"It's nothing major." I say, feeling my face go a little more red. I open my music folder, and take out a piece I had trouble with earlier.

"Could you play the rhythm for me, page two, measure 22 through 26?" I ask him. He looks at the music, and plays the string of notes on his violin.

"Oh, okay, that makes sense now." I say, and sing the part he just played. The song was entirely in Latin, and I had no idea what it meant.

"Okay, but in the 23 measure it's B flat for the second note. You sang a B." He corrects. I try again.

"You really do have a nice voice." He compliments.

Jack Black:

The fire flared up, lighting the cigarette I held above the Bunsen Burner. I placed it in my mouth. My lab partner *this can be anyone* took it form my mouth, threw it to the ground, and stomped on it.

Did he seriously just light a cigarette? In science class? I'm no scholar but that is a no no. I snatched it out of his mouth and stomped it to the ground.

"Dude! Who the hell do you think you are!?" he yelled.

"I think I am Lucas Robson, it's a pleasure to meet you." I smirked.

"I think I am Lucas Robson, it's a pleasure to meet you." He gave me a smirk.

"You think you're funny? Does it look like I'm laughing. I-" I hit my fists against the table.

"You know what?" I said "Thank you. I need to stop that. Apparently they're bad for you or something." I said the last part like an innocent kid who really had just learned.

Shaking my hands to keep myself from exploding I closed my eyes. Reopening them I grabbed a piece of paper and rolled it up. Again turning up the Bunsen Burner I held the paper over it. But before Lucas could do anything I turned off the burner and blew the fire out from the paper.

"No harm no foul." I said with my own smirk.

I picked up two random chemicals. At first I just looked at them as if I was interested. But the I just dumped all of their contents into the beaker.

When nothing happened I gave a frown. Grabbing a yellow chemical I dumped it into the beaker. The liquid began fizzing and Lucas looked at me as if he was going to strangle me. It bubbled over the top and spilled onto the table.

"What the hell is wrong with you man?" He nearly yelled at me.

I gave him a hard expression. Everyone at home knew better than to ask me that question. I guess I should have known no one would know here.

With my jaw tight I said "What's wrong with me? Let's see, my mother is a drug addict, I was born addicted to heroin, I had to raise myself, I starved as a child, I've been beaten nearly to death several times, twice by my own mother, I've been in and out of gangs," Tearing off my jacket I showed him my arms and continued "one of my so called friends did this to me, I've been to prison for something I didn't even do, I was taken from my home, and my mother probably doesn't even realize I'm gone."

I paused to take a breath and said frustratedly "Now do you wish for me to continue on what's wrong with me or is that a good enough explanation for you?"

Thomas Dunn:

“You really do have a nice voice.” I complimented her. Her cheeks flushed pink a little. It was true, she sings like a humming bird or a bird that sings with Snow White’s friends. It was a lot better if her lovely tune was accompanied with a smooth classical violin.

“We’re too early.” I chuckled and flashed a neat smile at Rachel. She was really beautiful, I could tell.

“Yeah, no wonder the place is empty.” She said back, her brown eyes wandering the choir room. Her soft wavy chestnut hair complements well with her face and eyes.

“Rachel… Can I say something?” I looked at her straight to the eyes.

She nodded.

“I’m not here to ruin a percent of your relationship with Connor.” I said, almost a whisper.

“You think Conner and I are dating each other?” She said with a puzzled face but her sweet smile seemed to appear, almost like a laugh.

“Well, he looks at me with those... piercing eyes, you know. Like the time when we were late during our Math class. He seemed to be angry at me or something like that.” I explained, looking down and felt embarrassed.

Lily:

I galloped through the halls humming to myself, no caring about the looks I received. When I pushed open the door to class there was three people standing there "Hi!" I said loudly "I'm Lily. Lily Watson."
HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! HI!

"Well man, that explanation shows that you have a worse track record than I do. Finally, my parents succeed in finding a school that can make me look like an angel." I smirked.

"What? Your few little stunts back in Canada made you a big shot? Better break it to ya, I pulled off the same puny stunts when I was 10, AND didn't get busted like you did. You have a lot to learn bud." sneered Jack.

"Like you have any idea what I have on my record." I said.

Jack grinned, "Wanna bet?"
