Summer Green

I stared out the translucent window and out into the rolling plains of bellowing grass. Rose buds showered the floor in a romantic way, the autumn breeze frolicked through the dandelions culturing around the cement stairs leading into the cleaners shed. I sighed loudly, cocking my head to the side.

England was so pretty. I looked up into the rolling clouds, an image of myself floating side by side with the beautiful red robins bobbing across the blue. Running my fingers through my honey blonde hair, I turned my attention towards the hard wood trees outside. I think I might climb one of them this afternoon.

"Miss. Green! What are you doing?" The booming voice of Mr. Crisply entered my thoughts. My head shot up instantly, my body straightening in fear from the elderly mans booming voice. "Nothing Sir." I said quickly, my cheeks burning red as the gaze of the class was thrown upon me. "It doesn't seem like nothing, Miss. Green. This, I'm afraid to inform you, is a mathematics class. Not a stare outside the window bludge session!"

I nodded frantically willing him to stop screaming. A snigger came from behind me, a sharp nudge to my chair followed in tow. "Yes, Mr. Crisply. I know, Mr. Crisply. It won't happen ever again, I promise." I said in a small voice. Sinking into my chair lifting my mathematics text book up to shield my face.

"We have this conversation every time, Miss Green. It's starting to become rather tiresome." I rolled my eyes when I was sure he wasn't looking, I hoped at least. "Sorry, sir." I looked down at my page. It was scrawled with pictures of birds and trees, dandelions and roses. A girl was in the middle, her many skirts move around her body as she held a flute to her lips.

My mother. I looked up to see Mr. Crisply's mouth moving. His word inaudible, to me anyway. The rest of the class seemed to hear the man just fine, their large shark like grins boring into me. "Ah...sir, if you don't mind. This is a math's lesson and not a let's pick on the students bludge session-" A voice said behind me.

** Anyone can jump on in.
I spy!

Ugh, god. Would this teacher ever stop getting off on students who didn't understand? I thought his job was to help people, not bully them into submission. I rolled my eyes before speaking out to stand up for the girl, who seemed to have literally become part of the chair, she was sunk so low in it.

"Ah...sir, if you don't mind. This is a maths lesson and not a let's pick on the students bludge session." I called out, noting Mr. Crisply's immediate scowl.

"What did you say?" he replied dangerously, and I grinned.

"Oh, nothing, Sir. But I'm sure that Summer will be just fine if she attends some tutor sessions."

The teacher straightened up, looking angry. "Mr. Williams, I have warned you about your unwanted contributions before. Now, if you please-"

I interrupted him again. "I'm very sorry, Sir. But I thought you should know that there's a mistake in your working on the board, and we wouldn't want the class to get confused, would we?" Mr. Crisply turned to see if what I'd said was true. It was, of course; I'd finished the exercise fifteen minutes ago. "X equals 43, not 86, Sir. You incorrectly divided the coefficient earlier in the equa-"

"Yes, I understand," he replied through gritted teeth, making his way up to the board to correct the offending mistake. Once his back was turned, I tapped Summer on the shoulder gently. She turned, eyes still wide and scared. "If you need any help, just come and sit next to me and I'll explain," I whispered with a grin.
Elizabeth: "There will come a moment when you will have a chance to show it. To do the right thing."
Jack: "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."

Thomas Dunn:

I took out a big sigh and run my fingers through my untidy brown hair. It was the first day of school and was making me nervous. People continuously started to fill the hallway. I took the fresh air through my nose and felt the cold atmosphere around me. I needed to go my first class before I could get scolded and be embarrassed again.

As I was making my way through the crowded hallway, I felt something light in my back pockets. I dug my hand into it and suddenly, my body froze and felt a drop of sweat rolling down my neck.

No way this could possibly happen...

Where's my wallet?

My lunch money's in there.

I grabbed my schedule from the counter and took one glance at it. Art, just what I needed, I thought, annoyed. I didn't like showing people what I drew and I didn't think I ever would.

"Does anyone else have art first?" a girl asked.

"I do," I said, walking over.

Whoa, talk about manically posting over night... I really need to move to America, or something...

Liam

A broad, pleasured grew spread across my face as I walked into the school grounds. I had a feeling that this year would be a good one, especially now that Mr. Wilson was back in school. English lessons would be hard, but they would so be worth it after what happened last year.

Laughing to myself at the memories, I happily entered the large building. There was bound to be a load of new kids; English ones, Welsh ones, Scottish ones, American ones, Spanish ones, Australian ones. Loads. I had to admit, I liked those foreign guys and girls.

"So many hot people, so little time." I said quietly to myself, observing the scene around me.

I was an hour late, but I'd be fine. All of the teachers loved me, they'd believe any excuse that I gave them. What can I say? I was good with people. Putting my innocent face on, I walked into my maths class.

"Sorry sir, I had to help a newcomer find their way around the school." I lied sweetly. "I'm a sucker for a new kid, especially helping them."

If I was anyone else, Mr. Crisply would have practically killed them. But I wasn't anyone else, I was me. Every teacher loved me. Mr. Crisply smiled at me before nodding to where my seat was. As I walked towards my seat, I noticed one of the many hot girls, sitting quietly in her chair. She had a kind of hippy look to her, it was appealing.

As the teacher continued with the lesson, I took a look at my dormitories list. I almost fist-pounded the air as I read it. The guys who I was sharing a dorm with were cool, but that wasn't my reason for being so happy. My dorm teacher was Mr. Wilson. Yep. This was going to be a fun year, all right.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

I looked up in surprise as the guy sat next to me. An hour late? I didn't really understand why he'd even shown up, to be honest. The lesson only had about 20 minutes left...

Groaning internally, I looked down at the work we'd been set for the rest of the lesson. I'd literally understood nothing that Mr. Crisply had been saying for the past hour; how the hell was I supposed to finish all these eercises? Hang on, wasn't the late guy supposed to be, like, a genius at everything? Maybe he could help me.

I poked him in the side gently. "I don't understand," I whispered. "Can you help me?"
Elizabeth: "There will come a moment when you will have a chance to show it. To do the right thing."
Jack: "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."

Pushing off most of people's comliments, I walked to the sdie of the auditiorium while the teacher gave directions.

"That was pretty good, you know." A guy says. I hadn't realized anyone had been there, so I jumped a little in shock.

"Oh, uh thank you." I say.

"I'm Conner." He says, holding his hand out.

"I'm Rachel." I say. He seemed nice.

The bell rings, " I got to get to class." He says.

"See you around." I say, and smile.

"Rachel, get over here!" The teacher yells.

"Sorry." I say, and run over.

"Rachel, we are having auditions next week. You really should try for the lead, if your chior doesn't keep you busy."

"It shouldn't. I am not sure if I really am good enough for the lead, though."

"Someone with no confidence shouldn't play a lead." Oliver says.

"I think he's kind of right." I say with a sigh.

"Sure!" I grin at one of the many pretty girls. "What don't you understand?"

"Uh... all of it..." The girl giggled nervously.

Smiling a flirtatious grin, I take a look at her work. I read it over a few times before realising what she was doing wrong. It was a really stupid mistake. I was glad that I was smart, being dumb would get on my nerves.

"You just replace that," I scribbled over her work. "With this. What you've done is forgotten to add x with y. You have to add it because both symbols in the equations before are opposite; plus and minus. If they're the same, you take away. If they're different, you add. Simple."

The girl narrowed here eyes at her work for a minute or so before she finally understood it. Once she did understand it, she looked pretty chuffed with herself. I'd always been very skilled at making people feel good. I was a positive guy, after all.

"Oh!" She smiled. "I get it now. Thanks. You should be the teacher, not Mr-loves-himself over there."

"Thanks, I guess." I laughed. "I'm Liam, by the way."

"Emma." The girl smiled, scribbling something on her work.

Emma. Pretty name. Her face wasn't a disappointment either. Neither was her chest... Oh, how I loved chicks.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

My first hour had no one I knew in it. I had read it wrong, no art. Just a stupid Math class. Joy, joy.

I closed my eyes as the teacher spoke. "Mr. Walker, could you kindly grant us with an answer?" she asked fiercely.

"Nope," I said nonchalantly.

She looked me in the eye and said, "Why don't you head on down to the office, Theo?"

She wrote a note and handed it to me. I walked to the office, grinning. Phase 1, complete, I thought sarcastically.

I was stomping out of the building when a teacher caught up with me and yelled, "Young lady that is not how we act here! I'm giving you a Saturday AND sending you to the office! I will let them punish you for your actions!" Teacher walked me to the front office handmade me sit in a very ugly chair. "You will sit here for a good hour. Hope you learn your lesson, girly." He sneered at me. When he walked out, I muttered under my breathe, "so what are you gonna do about it?"

Thomas:

I was scared and didn't know what to do. I have to find it before anyone else does. Maybe, the "Lost and Found" room can help. I walked through the corridors and went inside the main office.

"Hello, dear. How may I help you?" a red-haired girl welcomed me with a neat smile.

"Oh...I actually lost my wallet..." I said, embarrassed.

Who would actually lost his own wallet during the first day of school?

"I'm sorry, dear. When did it happened?" She asked with worried face.

"I lost it while I was walking through the halls." I answered. I felt hopeless and now I was a hundred percent sure that I might soon die of hunger during afternoon classes.

Before the red-haired woman could say anything, I interrupted her, "uh... ok... thanks. I'll just have to go back later then." I smiled at the woman and turned my back. I was going to go out of the office until I saw a girl stepping in and showed a leather wallet and handed it out to the red-haired woman.

"I found this." I say, giving it to the women. The lady looks at a boy who was also standing in the room.

"Is this yours?" She asks. He nods, and takes it from her. He looks at me a minute, then fishes through the wallet's contents.

"I didn't take anything." I say. He puts it in his pocket, and gives me a look.

"Just checking." He half smiles.

"I just saw it lying by a bench, and I thought someone might be looking for it."

"Well, thank you, that was my lunch money." He gives me a smile. I push some of my hair behind my ear.

"You're welcome. Oh, darn," I say as the bell rings, "I am late for math."

"That's where I am going." The boy says.

"By the way, I am Rachel." I say with a smile.
