ALIRICIA

I closed my eyes and listened to the river. I needed to relax and take a few deep breaths. Tourism was growing and it was turning out to be a problem. Tribal law stated we were forbidden to destroy any tourist unless threatened first.

I let the running water soothe me, trying to make sense of my thoughts. It was my night to go out hunting. At least Mist and Gash would get a break from the village for a while.

I sighed and pushed myself to my feet, pulling my cloak over my eyes. My father hated it when I wore my cloak over my eyes. He deemed it "inapropriate and dark." I wasn't dark and I wasn't inapropriate. I just liked to feel hidden and different.

I whistled to Mist and she came plodding up to me, panting happily. "Wanna go for a hunt?" I asked. I knew she wouldn't reply-but what difference did it make?

Cheveyo White Hawk -

"Cheveyo!" Cheveyo, with a mischievious grin on his face, quickly leaped out of his father's home, Sabe and Tyr seeming to chuckle at him with lopsided grins on their faces. The shirtless tribal boy grinned down at his two pets and smirked, grabbing a bow and arrow and a dagger from his teepee before striding into the forest.

"So, where would you two like to hunt today?" Cheveyo grinned down at the two animals, Tyr wagging his silver tail before trotting towards the east. Towards the other tribe's territory. Well this would be fun.

Letting out a hunting cry, Cheveyo took through the forest, ignoring the boundry line as Tyr howled, catching scent of a white tail. Cheveyo cocked his arrow in his bow, still running but now ready for even the slightest movement of an animal.

ALIRICIA

Gash coiled himself around my knee. Inconveniently his favorite place on my body. Mist put her tail between her leg and started whining. "What's wrong Mist?" I murmered, grabbing my sword and daggar.

I stood stalk still, listening for anything out of the ordinary. Mist started to growl at a small bluff of trees. I stared where she was staring, but didn't see anything. Strange; Mist never growled at nothing. I pulled the hood to my cloak up slightly for hopes of a better view.

I caught movement in the bushes and something glinted in the light. Obviously not an animal. "Show yourself!" I shouted. Gash hissed, smelling the air with his tongue. Something was definately out of the ordinary. I readied my sword.

Blood covers my arms, as I try to staunch the bleeding spurting from the man's wound. Sword gashes are always especially tricky. The fool and his friends ran into warriors from the other tribe, when both were too close to the Boundary. He got the worst of it. I try to ignore the sharp pains coming from my own side, as my body mirrors his pain.
Concentrate I think to my self. Block it out . Gida, the chief healer of our tribe, is tending to one of the other men who were involved. I'm on my own then. I sink into myself, until I find the silver fire of my magic. I draw on it, guiding it from my body into my patient's, willing it to mend what is broken. Slowly, muscle begins to re knit itself together, followed by the skin. I can't replace the blood he lost though. If he survives, he'll have a nice scar to show. A scar to show off his stupidity. I cut of the flow of magic. and begin to bandage his side. I turn as I feel a hand on my shoulder. Gida nods at me, her silent signal for me to go. Quietly, I grabbed my cloak, and through it on as I walk out the door. I can hear the sound of the Spring Festival coming from the valley. I should've been there, not tending to some stupid drunks who wander to close to their lands. i start to head in the direction of my cabin, when someone steps into my way...

Cheveyo:

Cheveyo glared at Tyr, who was staring at the she-wolf standing in a clearing with a woman from the other tribe. Cheveyo pressed himself against a large ceder, his arrow pointing to the ground. "You-you dumb mutt! Led me into a trap huh?!" Tyr whimpered, his tail wagging slowly as he peered up at his master. "I don't want to hear it! Figure something out!" Cheveyo hissed, Sabe lunging at Tyr suddenly, both putting up a fake fight and rolling into the clearing. This gave Cheveyo, while the young woman was distracted, enough time to climb up into the ceder before Tyr broke away from Sabe, and ran in the oppisite direction, Sabe running the other way.

"Well that was... odd." He heard the woman comment. She didn't seem that strong. She seemed more like someone that would be fun to play with.

Deciding to mess with the girl, Cheveyo cocked his arrow, letting it fly and impale the ground an inch from the girl's left foot.

ALIRICIA

I took a step back and glared at the arrow. Smart guy huh? Obviously from the other tribe... "Get your butt out here NOW!" I shouted into the bushes. Mist started growling, the hair on her back pricking. "Shhh, girl," I murmered. She stopped growling, but her anxious demeanor remained the same.

I sighed and pulled the hood of my cloak back over my eyes. If he wanted to mess with me, let him. Two can play at that game, after all.

He finally emerged from the bushes, a stupid grin spread across his lips. Mist cowered behind me and I stroked her head, trying to calm her down.

Cheveyo:

"You rang, m'lady?" Cheveyo dropped from the tree with a goofy, childish grin as he studied the girl. She had curly brown hair, and bright blue eyes that seemed to shine from the darkness of her cloak. She had a scar under her left eye, as he'd seem it earlier, and a wolf that cowered behind her. This just had to be the girl he'd been battling with a long time ago, during his first real battle. Cheveyo thought about the scar that stretched across his left eye, leaving him blind as well. And this think this girl was three years younger than him at the time. He shook his head at the thought.

"You must be Aliricia," he smirked, not mentioning where he'd known her name, or face from. He just, simply, continued to smile.

I followed Cheveyo into the woods, hiding behind a giant yew tree, watching as he taunted that girl from the other tribe. Aliricia, he had called her. I could see that both of them were tensing, ready to fight. Something had to be done. If blood was spilled, there would be war. True,we were on their land, and that gave them just cause, but our tribe wouldn't care about cause. They'd be bent on revenge. I heard a footstep behind me, and turned. It was Taylor.

Taylor
He wasn't very fond of hunting but if he had to do it, then he would surely do it; afterall, he was raised to do so even if he didn't liked it. So he wandered around the woods for a while until he saw something worth hunting. The animal was running, running faster than he could, but he knew he had to catch it before it was too late. He kept running and running behind the animal before he realized that he had crossed the border of their land and already crossed to the other tribe's land. But what was the big deal about it, he wan't disturbing anyone, so he just kept on going.

But all of a sudden the animal stopped to jump over a broken branch and from the other side of the tree, someone hissed. It was usual to find people hunting around here, but it was unusual to find someone hiding behind the trees as if spying someone or something. So he quitely got closer to whomever was behind the tree, quite afraid it might have been someone from the other tribe, until he heard a small shriek. It was Fallon.

"For heaven's sakes Taylor, could you shut up?" She said, signaling him to shut up as she turned back to what she was originally looking at making him turn too in curiosity.

"Who's her?" He asked, watching Cheveyo talk to another girl. "I've never seen before"

"That's cause she's not from a our tribe" Fallon answered.

"And do you realize that we are not in our land?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, I have realized that, but he shouldn't be here either, especially him, he's the chief's son" Fallon answered, an angry edge on her voice.

I glared at Taylor. God, he could be so infuriating sometimes! "Yeah, and do you realize that if her tribe finds out that there are three of us on their land, they'll see it as an attack?" I looked quickly over at Cheveyo. Chief's son or not, this was his problem. And despite my hating that Taylor was right, it would be much worse if they found three instead of one on their land. "Fine. Let's get back to our tribe." We slipped back into the woods, leaving Cheveyo to his fate.
