Welcome to the 23rd Winter Olympic Games. It's 2018, and whether you're a first time Olympian or you're a veteran fifth-timer, it's undeniable that the scenery of Annecy, France is spectacular. And better yet, you've got two weeks to relax, take it in, and train before the Olympics officially begin.
Everything starts out like normal-you train as hard as you can, sight-see around the city in your free time, rehearse for the opening ceremony, and overall, just have a good time. You're very excited for the Olympics, until the unthinkable happens.
You hear that an Olympian was found dead in their hotel room. There was no blood, no other wound. Nothing unusual. No traces of a crime or even an accident. The Olympian was mourned and held a funeral, but the Olympics moved on, until the next day, when another was found dead in their hotel room under the same suspicious circumstances.
The death toll keeps rising until seven are dead, one week before the Olympics begins. Many athletes, fearing for their lives, demanded that the Olympics be called off, or at least postponed. But the frightened Olympic committee keeps insisting that deaths are accidental.
But everyone knows it's murder. A minor band of athletes decide to act. They begin to write down and notice patterns in the behavior of the killer, hoping to find them and catch them, before it is too late. Before more people die.
Rules & Other Regulations
I will be controlling the killer, who will be a mysterious figure until I deem necessary. Only then will the name, gender and motivations (which have already been decided upon). I'd like at least one of our characters to die, but it doesn't have to be until later on in the storybook and if you're okay with your character dying just send me a PM. If I get no volunteers, then I will pick someone and send them a private message asking for their permission.
In terms of rules, standard YWS and other RP rules such as no god-modding or sex also apply. I'll be closing applications when I get an average number of people, about 10-15 depending on the interest of it. To join, just see the code below and PM me if you have any questions.

Name: Ariadne Soldon
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Nationality: French
Sport: Skiing
Appearance: Ariadne is tiny, only about 5 feet, 2 inches tall. Her figure is petite, but yet she is muscular and strong. Her skin is ivory-tinted and bruised from frequent falls in training runs. Her sandy blonde hair is cut in thick layers that go to her shoulders, and her wide eyes are stormy gray with blue specs. When not in her skiing uniform, Ariadne dresses simply yet fashionably, often in athletic pants or shorts (depending on the weather) and lacy tank-tops.
Personality: Ariadne is sweet and fairly easy to get along with, although she is short-tempered and will start cursing in french when she gets angry. She's smart and work her way out of difficult situations easily, but she cries a lot and is very emotional, often scared.
History: Ariadne was born in Paris to Caroline and Antoine Soldon, two prominent lawyers. Home-schooled from the age of seven, she always felt lonely and bored with her life. When her parents went on a skiing trip with her to the French Alps, she fell in love with the sport. Ariadne skied whenever she could, saving up her money to go on trips to lesser ski hills over the weekend. She joined a club and began to compete, winning gold in nationals. It was always Ariadne's dream to qualify for the Olympics, and when the trials came, she was in with ease.
Excited to earn national attention while doing what she loved, Ariadne talked about it non-stop. When it was finally time to leave, she was physched. And then the killings began. Ariadne, feeling both scared and cheated, was one of the first athletes to want to try and catch the killer.
Up for Love? Yes
Other: Speaks in a very thick french accent.
