Burning Rejection

I hear the voice and turn into Link even in my sleep..

"Who the hell is he?"

"A friend." I growl.

My eyes slowly drift open..

"Yeah. Uhh. A friend you are sleeping with!" He booms.

"Sleeping, yes. Sex, no." I yell back.

"Hi, uh, are you a friend?", I smile awkwardly and inwardly cringe..

"Lo- Link! Sh." I glare at him, sitting up.

"OH. I see. You are a hoe, Isabelle." He throws the art bag accross the room at her. "This was for you. But not now."

I feel oddly guilty, "It's not like that... I-i , I was lost and I don't know where anything is and was out of money and she let me stay here, she wanted me to sleep in the other room but - Then she told me to sleep on the couch, but she looked really tired. She swore she wasn't and said she was watching a movie and that's all I remember happened I must have passed out I was dead tired.."

Jaden looks at him. "Save it!" Then he looks at me and says. "Dont call me. I dont assosiate with hoes."

"I am not a hoe! A hoe is Julia!" I yell and throw the stuff on the couch, and a rose falls out. "Jaden?" I whisper, eyeing the rose.

"I should've just slept on the bench," I say callously pushing him aside and walking out of the house..

"Link!" Get back here!" I yell. "Jaden, leave. I will call you later."

"You helped me enough already now I am just running your name through the mud I can find some where else...."

"Get your ass back in here!" I yell. "It is cold out there."

Jaden just rolls his eyes and walks out the door, past him.

I almost trip him but miss barely, it wan't noticable but he still stumbles slightly as move past, "Fine .."

"Thank you. Dont let him get to you. Hes a jerk." I wipe my sleepy eyes.

"Okay, do we have to deal with him today at the college?"
