Personally, I think that a magical sub-plot could be very interesting. It would mean, if I interpreted your writing correctly, Sylverdawn, that there will be just one more group of people out to kill us, (them, our characters... garh, you know what I mean. ) and probably will make finding the assassin more complicated. It's your call, Light_Devil!

Sylverdawn, perhaps in a PM you can tell me, without revealing everything that is twisty and awesome in your sub-plot to everyone, how you intend to make all this magic sub-plot war not conflict with the main plot.
Because I am open to it if I know it won't do all that much difference.
Okay, I'm going to post some information about Ciiianthan - the country. Watch this post. This will be where I'll add more facts, in case you guys need it.
Pretty much all of it is level fields, with a few hills, a few forests (mostly towards the unpopulated parts) and, of course, the things I have marked on the maps. Here are the first things you need to be aware of:
The Heelopeer Ravine, sometimes refered to as the Maw, is considered one of nature's most dangerous formations upon ground. This Ravine was created by, long-since illegalized, magic - blowing apart the mountainside in a flash of sparks and fire, leaving nothing but a gaping wound trailing into the world's centre. The drop is more than anyone can survive, even the Witches who had once sought to hide there. There is no possible route of travel to anywhere unless one of the treacherous Heelopeer Ravine Roads, rock bridges - cliff remnants from the explosion - which cross through the centre, are taken. You may take either. Left or Right.
There are two paths, known as the Heelopeer Ravine Fork, through the cliffs to Heelopeer. Both are as dangerous as playing tag with a pride of lions, one misstep and you are doomed to quite a long fly, say about 3 kms, with quite a dramatic crash-landing onto razor sharp rocks. On each path, both the edges fall away into the mouth of the Heelopeer Ravine. Tread carefully.
Heelopeer is a small town located in the middle of vicious, jagged cliffs and unforgiving, life-risking terrain. The climate in the day is hot, muggy and can leave you with a bad bout of dehydration, while at night it could leave you frost-bitten and sneezing all the way until the sun rose. It is a town society decided to leave alone. And it has thrived that way. Though with a limited population of 100 citizens, it has it own crops, inn, water well and other basic human necessities. There are not many kind people in this hard town, be wary all those who travel there.
Hope this help. If you have any further enquiries, don't worry about asking. I love answering them.
Sheesh! I've been gone for two days and this thing explodes! To Heelopeer then?
I follow four rules when writing 1. Don't think. Just write. 2.Never take the pencil from the page when writing 3.Don't erase. Even if what you wrote didn't make sense 4.No need for grammar, punctuation, or spelling when writing
And when your done writing you stop and break all the rules
Hey Light devil I'm going to thread in some guys that can hunt us down. Other than mindless guards, in my next post. If it isn't alright with you I'll just edit it.
Well, Hero's personality (I'm writing as I go here) he is a very needy dog. I mean he loves attention. He is very loyal to Atila, he doesn't like letting her out of his sight. Hero, being a shepherd dog, would naturally be an intelligent dog. He's a bit sarcastic when he talks or either he talks with irony. Hero looks like this http://www.dogcastradio.com/images/Aust ... epherd.jpg

My reasons for choosing the right fork. Well... Heelopeer seems to be one of those places mapmakers cringe at. With all the magic and rocks... Well, I think it would be pretty darn hard to map, don't you?
And, besides, if Atila says you're probably going to be attacked by bandits, I'd believe her and steer clear of that path!
Do you have any Whys or Wherefores? Because I have plenty of Becauses and Therefores.
(Sorry, I was watching Man of Lamancha. I can't help it if Sancho gets into my brain.)
