@Leya Aw, thank you <3 I tried to make him as balanced as possible, while still actually making sense with his parents and stuff :)

Ooh, love interests. I'm down!

@APoltergeist I really do feel like Josephine and Aiónios would somewhat balance each other out. His outbursts could be some what slowed by Josephine. (She's very quiet and doesn't like violence or anything related to it)

@Leya

I do agree! Aiónios is such a chaotic individual, plus his violent and sometimes (*cough* often *cough*) cruel tendencies. Her aversion of violence and quiet manner would, odds are, be a good influence on his mannerisms.

I can't wait to read Nio's POV. It seems like it'll be just as chaotic XD

@Leya I'm excited to write it! Speaking of writing, shall I begin my point of view or wait until we have more characters? If I'm starting, is there anyway I can get some more details on perhaps the setting and some of the NPCs I'm allowed to use. Your post was great, but due to being in first person, it limits the amount of information I can get due to it being just her thoughts haha

@APoltergeist

You can begin your post! I'd prefer the first post to have little to no interactions. You post as the character's arrive. Nio may have seen Josephine as she was on her way to her room, etc.

The first post should be your character getting to the Grande Hall, meeting Kandos (the oh so great front desk receptionist), as well as Agnis (the extremely silent servant). What the NPC's say, and whatever else happens between that time, is up to you! :) just no crazy stuff or plot-twisting stuff. This is really just an introduction of your character.

@Leya

I've got a little written out but it sounds so odd...
Do you have any preference for whether it's in first or third person? I'm not used to writing characters like these in first.

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out haha.

I'm sorry for the late response, @APoltergeist! Any POV is fine. First or third, it doesn't matter :)

may i join too? :3
i'm thinking Athena for one parent would be cool, and possibly a lesser-known deity for the other parent >.>

of course, @Spearmint! Athena would be awesome. I was really hoping someone would pick her but I didn't know if anyone would because her powers are really muted for the most part. She really was only extremely intelligent, so maybe for your character's gift you could draw from the other deity for it?

Hello, everyone!

I'm so excited to start this SB with all of you! If you didn't already notice I've edited the first post of the OOC to show the slots and the Mentors of each Champion! I think it's important that we also know who your Mentor is.

You can post it here and I'll put it in the 'Mentors' section.

Here's the format:

Code: Select all
Champion:
Mentor:
Description:
Your Mentor can be anybody from Greek Mythology that was a hero-- from any time. Hercules, Achilles, Jason, and Perseus are all some available options/examples.

edit: These Mentors can be demi-god, as long as they are known as a hero/warrior.

Character: Aiónios
Mentor: Atalanta
    Description:
Atalanta was a skilled human huntress in Greek mythology. She was a devoted follower of Artemis, goddess of the hunt, and swore an oath of virginity to show her devotion. Left in the forest to die by her father, Atalanta was saved by a bear and raised by hunters.

@teatiime, according to mythology, Dionysus married Ariadne (The Cretan princess)-- but she wasn't a goddess (she's mortal). Dionysus had affairs with Aphrodite, so maybe you could work off that. He was punished by Hera for his affair with Aphrodite and cursed Aphrodite to have the most hideous child. I also think that Artemis would be an interesting parent as they both are more agricultural deities :)

edit: orrr you can match him with Hestia (the goddess of health) and your character could be a healer XD
