Hi there! Welcome to the OOC thread for A Touch of Amethyst, a roleplay heavily inspired by SJ Whitby's Cute Mutants series. This roleplay is technically set in another universe, though, so don't worry! The only context you'll probably need is that one of my characters has ties to some of the canon crew over in Cute Mutants.

Unlike in some of my past world-hopping rps, I won't be throwing in a character of my own that's not already here on this Earth before the start of the story. Instead, I'll interact with your characters primarily through the townspeople (and the ridiculously overpowered bird) until some actual characters of mine show up.

You're very much welcome to have characters without powers, but, for evil DM purposes, you may want to consider having characters with some kind of magical abilities or superpowers. It's really up to you!

Also, if you're curious, the bird's an Andean condor, but it has weird purple veins pulsing across its body. All the veins are coming right from that purple gem I mentioned in the roleplay's intro.

I hope you're as excited for this roleplay as I am! As soon as I give you the go ahead with your character, feel free to throw your character(s) into the roleplay.

Good question! I'm really chill with my roleplays, so all I need is a character name, appearance, and probably pronouns. You can also be nice to your DM and share any powers your character has, but you're very much welcome to keep them secret, too!

Here's an example of the character description I wrote up for my character Dresden over in Trapped in Gotham:

[spoiler][b]Dresden:[/b] He's a man in his late twenties to early thirties. He's on the taller side, and is just a little bit muscular. He has dark brown eyes, shoulder length black hair and stubble on his chin. He's currently wearing all black, most notable of all being a black duster. He looks very disheveled and definitely more than a little intimidating.[/spoiler]

My standards are basically that if I can have one of my characters describe your character(s) without having to drop a character name, you're probably good.

I would also recommend bringing up the powers if you're not sure they're too OP or not, but, then again, I do have some heavy hitters in this NPC cast lineup. So there's not many things I'd shoot down.

You already answered in Discord so I’ll just proceed:

Agent Cassia Campbell: Slightly darker olive skin, black eyes (like normal eyes that are so brown they’re black, not like those really cool weird color eyes), black hair that kind of tufts out at her chin and streak of green framing her face. She has three moles: one on the outer corner of her left eye, one by the right corner of her lip, and one right in front of her ear. She’s dressed in elaborate modern goth attire (the modern is very important, thank you) with a high-waisted purple pleated skirt lined with lace, artistically ripped fishnets, a long sleeved black crop top that still slips easily into her skirt with lace on the sleeves, and black platform boots that reach her knees. With the platforms, she stands at 5’2. As for powers? Well, she has no obvious powers, but she does have a lot of cool G.A.I.I issued tech!

Ignore how long that appearance description is, Cassia is just a dramatic little bean.

Pepper Echnat: They are a mess. Their thick, black hair is almost always a greasy heap on their head, and it swoops down over their eyes. It's a shame, their eyes are such a pretty light blue. They typically wear sweaters and jeans, and the occasional bracelet or ring if they feel like it. They are tall and awkward looking, like a deer without the gracefulness. It suits them since they are always sick, with their heavy undereyes and pale face. Oh, and their powers? They can make people fall asleep, but only for a few minutes at a time. Let's just say they have issues controlling it.

That definitely works! Pepper sounds like a blast.
