Why do I feel like Mari and Jane are going to be at fault for the majority of the chaos?

psshhhhh they probably have nothing to do with the fact that one year someone collected all the spit out seeds to a nearby park and now the park is overrun by watermelon

@Lia5Giba you have no idea how happy it made me to hear that you have also celebrated watermelon day because my friends all thought it was fake news lol

I have never heard of Watermelon Day (must be a US thing?) but it sounds amazing and I look forward to all the other cool stuff I'm gonna learn on this journey

Though I do remember there was this one teacher I had who brought pineapples to the class on the last day of the school year! Can't remember if she did it yearly or just once tho

Hmm...I'm learning a lot on this one...xD...where I come from the craziest school event is the one where we get to bash each other in face with pillows to see who can knock each other off a log.

My public school experiences sound so boring compared to all of yours. :P

The weird thing is that I never had Watermelon Day or heard of it, and I'm from the US, too. So that either means 1) it's a rare thing that just happened to exist in both @Carina and @Lia5Giba's elementary schools or 2) you guys went to the same school district. I'm not sure which possibility is wilder.

PINEAPPLE DAY?!? that sounds like watermelon day's nemesis

PILLOW FIGHT ON A LOG DAY?!? now that sounds crazy but terrifying but also amazing

and if I find out that watermelon day only exists in one school district in the US I'm gonna be shook

Ha ha...it is terrifying for first timers..the log is like 7 feet in the air and there's only like a tiny mattress to catch you when you fall

In every primary/intermediate school I've ever been to, legends were spoke of a field game called Bullrush and I don't know/remember the rules because it was always banned before I got there.

I think it involved kids running at each other all at once and probably got banned for causing collisions

I assume it must have been banned like at least a year or so before I got to each school but people still brought it up every now and again enough that I heard of it so at the same time it had to be recent enough for the older kids to remember it

As for sports I was actually involved in, dodgeball got banned from the assembly hall after somebody broke a lightbulb/window and the ceiling was really really high

I liked Capture the Flag and hated everything else (all I did was rescue ppl who'd got caught)

My favourite sports memory is the time we played I forget what but to prevent a goal being scored against their team, ten kids stuffed themselves into their team's net all at once like clowns in a clown car and they looked so silly it was great

Tho sometimes to this day I remember the legend of Bullrush and wonder, why did that ever happen

These are all amazing and we have to absolutely incorporate them into our school's sports/field day. :P

Also, I'm hoping to get a first post up sometime this week! It'll depend on how busy I am & when the inspiration strikes, but I think I have a good enough picture of the first round of posts to get mine written. <3

I'm working on my first post now! :)

@Carina, I hope you don't mind me having Mari & Jane be rivals for a certain sporting event in my post~ I thought it would be fun if Jane trained for it with someone, and Mari was the first person to come to mind.

(Also, this post is going to be a long one.)
