If we do start I will be out for all of this weekend :\ debate and homework is the cause. Anyway have fun wrecking scrubs ya?

Do we have some sort of pad? Or are all the bunnies hopping in the DT?

I may squeeze together a pad sometime. But let em hop here for now.

Yeah guys pad is REALLY useful for cranking posts out with friends. People write each post on the same pad so in the space of the time it takes to write a post you could have four or five.

Here's one I used for GotR. Knock yourselves out now that it's cleared ;P

First post is up, mostly to set up the story and get the expansion rolling with gusto!

The next post will take place the next afternoon, when the others have logged on. You all will have the same quest from Galarad, but with the added objective of rescuing "your comrade" from the Artomb Holding Cell. That means Malek will be unavailable for the entirety of the dungeon.

Each post should take on one boss, and you'll all be working together to make it happen.

The posting rotation is as follows:

The bosses are yours to create, but the general aesthetic for the Artoma race is basically a new human race, only they have blue, purple, and red skin.


They are gender-neutral and we'll explore later how they reproduce. Talk here for boss encounter ideas.

Oh! I just remembered to tell you about the four characters in the opening post.

So obviously there's Malek, guildmaster and raid leader, general go-to guy for anyone in Facepalm. He probably has a bad rep around the server for being reckless and foolhardy, only reined in by his right-hand, Elyn.

Elyn, if you played Glory of the Raider, is Malek's best friend and long-time companion...and foil. For every bullheaded move Malek makes, Elyn is there to calculate the risk and adjust accordingly. He's out of commission in the current story because his real-life persona, Lou, has been deployed overseas to give medical relief in a foreign country TBD. Lou is real-life long-distance friends with Malek's real persona, Ty.

Ty (I really didn't feel like coming up with a new name so I used myself, neener neener) is an online journalist who basically makes a living reviewing films, games, and other media. Because of this, he doesn't have much of a social life, so things that happen in Facepalm (like Elyn leaving for so long) affect him greatly.

I have a plot bunny where Ty and Kahli's real-life persona have a long-distance relationship. We could explore that more if we end up getting heavier into the meta story...which is actually interesting me now that I've written an actual plot for Lou. xD

So I'm interested to know: what is your player like?

Also, I don't encourage using real-life names. I felt fine using Ty because there are 7 gajillion Tylers in the world, aaaand I'm in my mid-twenties. So yeah.

Questions:
1. So, @Lumi, the guild's name is Facepalm?
2. Kahli is clearly a bipedal bird-Aviti, but the Aviti we discussed are different. I can go with either, so should we say they're both Aviti, just different subspecies (or something like that), or should I change Fallyn to that too?
3. Are you still going to assign us our survival and utility skills?

Fallyn is the new second-in-command, whoo! Wait, but now I have a fourth question:
4. Has either Malek or Elyn left behind a note or something to indicate the new leadership?
If there is some form of notice, then great, but if not well, then there will be a lot of conflict during the clearing of the first Dungeon - especially in terms of who feels they ought to be leader.

As for Fallyn's real-life player, I'll make him a British male in his early twenties who studies English, but has a strange fascination with Gaelic (which he can't speak, read, or write at all). His randomly chosen name will be... Jake. Jake has no specific persona for Fallyn, which means he just plays naturally - except that his character is female (he has too many males in other games), so her behaviour will be different in that sense only.

Anyway, since I'm going first, I need to know any particular speech/behaviour patterns not mentioned in the CPs. Revan probably doesn't talk a lot, Hoilo is animated and daring, Merrick is boisterous and reckless, and Kahli (Ka'lahii) is fierce, yet composed. Anything else that I need to know?

Finally, I have no idea what to do for a boss, so I'll just use the template Lumi provided. The dungeon we can discuss starting now.

And, Astral, what model of the Aviti are you basing your character off? It might not be a problem anyway since I'm re-doing my profile because I totally didn't copy/paste Kahli in... ^^

I have a first boss idea. I've been playing way too much Borderlands so I'm totally into having a Thresher type boss be our first. I love those ground worms ^^

Or if we're going more human, my vote leans towards Ogre King.

So, a giant man-eating worm? Those are more or less a sci-fi/fantasy staple, so sure. XD
