You said, “I’ll always love you.”
After you ditched mom’s funeral

You said, “Family over money.”
After you sold my share
to pay your gambling check

You said, “You’ll always be my lil sis.”
After you turned down
walking me to the aisle.

You said, ‘I’ll be your rock.”
After you insulted my husband

You said, “I’m sorry.”
After you told me
my daughter was a mistake

You said, “I’m always here for you.”
After you turned your back against me,
when I needed my brother.

Then you said, “I didn’t mean it.”
You’re right. You never did.

Sometimes taking a break is necessary
~ close your eyes ~
Let your worries drift away for a second

The world will always keep moving
The question is
Will you?

15| I'm a Shooting Star
Limerick

I was born in outer space
With a shiny face
Little did I know
That my fuel would run low
Luckily, earth was my last gaze

Paradox

You took all the oxygen
and left me on an unbreathable environment,
The last place I wished to be, Earth.
As you left for the habitable universe

You were so far in the sky
Yet so close in my heart.
I reached out for you
But you weren’t there

After a while
my patience started melting due to
the fire that was burning me
Yet you didn’t notice

I don’t want any kind of joy,
For you I wanted all the happiness in the world

I know you probably don’t age up there
And you can’t keep track of time
But do tell
When will you come home?

17.| Not My Time Yet

I could still see the light a little
Then I used up all the oxygen
That was left

Sinking further into the deep
Couldn’t feel my fingers anymore

Hit by a massive wave of coldness
Followed by a sudden heat

I took a breath, bubbles escaping while
My lungs slowly filled with water
As I tried
to reach the surface again

But it was too late

As I saw the beautiful corals
Dancing in the water
I thought of my beautiful soul

Dancing and dancing,
Never enough
Then I decided I was done
And let all the water in

I smiled as I let go of fighting
And sank into the deep dark end
Of the sea
I had found salvation

But then I got pulled up

I didn’t want to leave this peace
I was finally in
But I guess
it wasn’t my time yet.

18.| Truth lies with the stars

We'd stay up 'till late night
Just to watch the stars

Adoring every little thing
You say
Sometimes
Doubting whether you’d stay

But then you
Left me in the sky
One time

Where the stars
are judgement

I was scared that
the moment had come
Where you’d leave

But then
I saw you
Holding a fight with them
Fighting to keep me

Disappointed in my
faithless love
You left

Let this judgement
Be my salvation
I can love you

I want to be your shooting star
The promise of your tomorrow
'Till the end of the skyline

Give me another chance
