2. | A Good Chocolate Frosting



In search of what made
A good chocolate frosting,

I snuck
Into the palace kitchen

And that's where
I learned the secret

Boil sugar too much,
Bitter taste will form.
Cook chocolate too hot,
Burned taste will form.

But when its done just right,
Watch out for the hot pan.

Pour it on the cake,
Chill it in the fridge
For even a few minutes
It stiffens and

Then you get that
good chocolate frosting hit.
Not too sweet, nor bitter.
Just right, like life’s sprinkles
On top.

I realised that
Like frosting,
Life is the same

With just the right amount
of positivity,
Great mindset
and creativity
Anything is possible

Sometimes burnt sugar will come,
But think of it like caramel,
not like a ruin
And just move on

Then you’ll taste it,
A good chocolate frosting
On your slice of life

Cotton Floss
Oh so sweet
Like fluffy clouds
It’s a dream

But when you add
Ginger
Then it turns reality
The sharpness
It hits hard
And deep

I wanna dream
For me
Not allowed
Too soon

Never allowed to taste
That dream
Always ginger to
Keep me sane

How I wished
To taste that sin
Had to repent
Even before committed

Secrets
Were for the best
What a delicate
Taste
That cotton floss

Yet sharing was
Mandatory
Promises to a sweet future
Gone

It was
Always ginger cotton floss

Which ruined it all
My perfect fluffy dream

Like a candle


Once majestic

But when it starts
Melting

The flame
Fighting for
A little more
