Memories Fading Into Words

I like that you're exploring different formats for poetry writing Kanome! [I like mixing up the paragraph and line-break poems sometimes for fun].

Some of the thoughts in your poems are told quite simply/directly, but the emotional layer is deep I believe. (Like in "Heal", "Trembling", and "Escape" especially).

This stanza in particular stood out as feeling like there was much behind it.

Freedom is never near
I just want to forget the ones I thought I held dear
I will escape from you
So you can feel pain like I do

Will someone ever come?
Falling down into the abyss, waiting for someone to come. Will someone ever come? A question always asked, but no answer. Tears fall, heart is breaking. A faded smile upon the face. Will someone ever come? Seems like loneliness is a real thing. Pitch black, nothing around. Will someone ever come?

when chocolate milk is all you can think about
Chocolate is rich,
Especially chocolate milk,
Who doesn’t love it?

Blood dripping from your cuts, pain worsening inside. Heart breaking, alone in darkness.

One can be determined by fate, but one cannot be determined by chance.

Demon Inside
Heart shattering wounds, internal blood raging
Eyes bloodshot, hands turning into claws
Being turning into darkness, light fading away

Demon inside wanting to burst, wanting to kill
Wanting to prey, to hunt
It looks at you, your flesh, craving more.

Returning from a fading memory
Forgotten days, a fading memory
Don’t know why I am here,
Wanting to be whole.
Craving a heart, what are feelings?
But now I must go back,
To the person who knows,
The answer to who I am,
The answer to where I belong.

A mother's first thoughts
Holding them tightly in her arms,
Giving them tender kisses on their foreheads,
Holding them close, loving them at first sight,
The sounds of coos, the sounds of cries,
The touch of their skin ever so soft,
That moment where they see her for the first time,
Bring a warm smile upon her face.
