Talia hesitated, then nodded slowly, biting her lip. “It… isn’t a… kind life lost,” she confirmed carefully. “…but Ky has always been very compassionate. I think it’s hard for her to feel responsible for someone’s death, regardless of if they deserved it or not… plus there was the messenger. He wasn’t much better. But Ky had never seen him… acting poorly towards us.”

"We'll talk to her," Sera assured her. "She's going to learn there's justice in death eventually; I say there's no reason for her to feel guilty. Besides, they won't die at her hands."

“That’s good.” Talia nodded. “That will help… hopefully.”

Talia sobered a bit at that, despite herself. She dipped her head, pushing down the prick of involuntary jealousy. “Yes… they do seem very… close.”

“… that’s true.” She fiddled with the bundle of herbs and let out a quiet sigh, not looking up. “…I’m glad she had someone.” Even if that meant Talia got replaced.

Sera glanced at her. "She has time for both of you, I'm sure."

Talia blushed and didn’t look up but nodded, biting her lip. “Yes ma’am, of course… I…” she bit her lip again and ducked her head. No good would come from finishing that thought. “…I am glad she has someone she’s so close to.” That didn’t lessen the jealousy though.

“Maybe.” She turned away and took her sweet time hanging up the herb bundle, wishing she wasn’t so petty.

(gracious I don't even remember what's happening in this one xD *aggressively skims*)
"... What's he like?" Talia asked after a few moments, deciding to force herself to at least make an effort.

(Yeahhh oopsies. Sorry I abandoned this for so long!)
"He's gentle," Sera mused. "Shy, too. And he cares a lot about Ky. He seems to be loyal friend."
