"Remus..? The dude who took you in last night? ...right, right, people don't usually remember. Yeaah, I don't think you wanna remember."

“Took me,” he repeated. “Why?”

Remus paused. C’mon, what was a good excuse… “…Uhh… you were injured..?” Technically, he wasn’t wrong.

Logan frowned. “You took me because I was injured?”

“Correction: took you in. You’re welcome.” Remus shrugged. “Anyways, I gotta take you back to where you came from. You should be ready to go by now.”

Logan looked down at himself. Something felt like it was missing. Some piece of information.

"...What? You gonna get up, or do I need to carry you again?"

Logan’s eyes narrowed. Carry him? He hadn’t been injured enough to be carried. “You carried me?” He asked suspiciously.

“Yeah..? Why, is something wrong with that?” Remus didn’t want Logan to know that he’d bit him. This human might have weapons, after all.

Logan paused, then said carefully, “No, nothing wrong. I was just wondering.” He turned away, hoping to to avoid anything being shown on his face.

“M’kay. So uh… you’re free to go, y’know. Unless you need me to lead you out or whatever.” Remus fortunately had a parasol laying around, in case he had to go out in the sunlight.

Logan said softly, “I’m sure I can find my way out.” Something was seriously wrong here, but he couldn’t figure out what he was missing.

“Okay. You do you. Just come back if you need help or whatever. I’m going to bed, good day.” Remus began to go back to his room.

Logan watched him, waiting for him to leave before he stood and turned around. He wasn’t going to leave, not until he figured out what had actually happened. He looked around for any clues.

On the counter, there was an empty potion bottle, as well as an open book. It was opened to a page about a recipe for potions; particularly, one that would reverse the affects of a vampire attack.
