Micah - Forest:
"With difficulty," Micah stressed, eyes on the kid as he moved towards him. He backed up into the tree, watching the kid carefully. His hand was off the knife handle, but that didn't mean much, did it? So the kid was called Taner. Interesting. "Do you have idea how hard it is to hide my wings from literally everyone but a select few?"
Tanner shook his head. Micah wasn't sure if that was a no or not, or something else entirely. He'd crossed his arms over his chest. He seemed less of a threat now but something was still off about him. Taner was watching him again now, eyes ridiculously wide. Micah thought that was weird.
"Very hard," he snapped, answering his own question. He held up the leather harness and gestured to his wings. "I keep these strapped out of sight, beneath shirts and jackets." He looked away, biting his lip. The kid made some kind of noise, but Micah wasn't really paying attention anymore. He spoke softly, thoughtfull and confused; "I don't know what I am..."
