I was actually wondering about this. I'm sure my stuff wasn't picked but when do we find out anyway?
I am nothing but a mouthful of 'sorry's, half-hearted apologies that roll of my tongue, smoothquick, like 'r's or maybe like pocket candy that's just a bit too sweet.
Keep in mind that no final decisions will be made for some time as the editors need to read and consider all the entries. I'm sure Nate will have the tracking system set up by the time the editors are ready to start selecting pieces.
There were over 200 submissions and only 5 editors plus Nate. It's one of those processes that, if rushed, will just result in a big mess. No worries you guys. I'm sure we'll all know more about the tracking system sooner or later because Nate hasn't even let the editors know much about it yet.
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

Jasmine, due to cost issues, we can't accept more than 30 works altogether. The aim is to have between 10 and 15 short stories, and between 10 to 15 poems.
Notices probably won't be sent until April 2. However, everyone will have been notified by April 10.
That's 13% of all the entries submitted being accepted and
a .004% chance of a piece being accepted.
Woah. Well, so much for that.

Psh, guys, don't lose hope yet! And even if we don't make this, there will be plenty of other literary journals and magazines and contests for us to submit work to over the years.
"Let's eat, Grandma!" as opposed to "Let's eat Grandma!": punctuation saves lives.
Your math is wrong, jas! It depends on the number of poems and stories. Let's say that x = number of poems.
You have a 15/x chance of getting accepted for poetry and 15/(221-x) to get accepted for a short story.
Since I think there were more poems submitted than short stories, then it's probably easier to get a short story in! But who knows? In any case, that's if 15 poems or stories are accepted. ^^
In any case, no worries. What's done is done, right?
Ubi caritas est vera, Deus ibi est.
"The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly." ~ Richard Bach
And, if you posted a poem and a short story then you have a bigger chance of getting ONE in
