The YWS Radio Channel:
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/yws

The first episode didn't work out so well, but I'm going to spend a lot more time preparing for the next one and also check into why there were so many technical difficulties.

On Sunday, October 7, 2007, the second episode of the YWS Radio program will run from 6 to 7 EDT. A quick rundown of times for your locality is at the end of this post.

This will be a LIVE radio program. As such, feel free to call in! The program will follow this general order:
    1. Introduction
    2. News & Announcements
    3. Shoutouts (You can call in at this time)
    4. Possible Member Interview
    5. Poetry Jam

The call-in number will be provided during the program. Participants for the poetry jam will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. To participate, all you need is a poem! If you don't want to read your own poem, no problem. Just be sure to say who the poem is by. For example, "I am reading The Jabberwocky by Lewis Carrol."

The episode will be saved as a podcast so you can listen to it later.

Beginning a half-hour before the program, a link will be provided at the top of the default template. Otherwise, just go here:

Hey - in case you didnt see my post on the other thread; NZ will be 11am because we just switched to Daylight Savings time too. Which is why I missed most of the broadcast today -.-
Got a poem or short story you want me to critique?

Nice... I'll be at North Dakota State University for a choir festival.
Hopefully the intro works this time, though!

I'm going to do a test segment on Wednesday to try testing that out and some other things as well. I'll let you know the time as soon as I decide one!

Mountain time is off again, the site says 3 p.m. for me.

That's because you live in Arizona where they don't have DST. The times above are adjusted for DST, which is stated in the post. If your locality doesn't have DST, then you gotta figure it out for yourself.

Ah, well, I'll just have to listen to this one the next day - there's no way I'm going to be able to stay on the computer from 11 - 12.

This international stuff is fascinating!

I'm going to have to figure out some way to accommodate everyone in the UK; especially since y'all account for a quarter of site activity. But there will definitely be at least three weeks where the program is done at a time that favors the UK. I'm scheduling all the shows around the schedule of the Washington Redskins; usually the game starts at 1 pm my time, but there's a few times where the game starts at 4:15 pm (meaning the radio show will begin at 3 pm my time, 8 pm your time at the latest).

Just a reminder to everyone! The technical problems are figured out, and the second episode is so far shaping up to be 1000 times better than the first.

Yay, does the "click to talk" button work now? If so, maybe I'll call in this time.

Nate, it better be working because I don't think I'll be around (exams need to be studied for!) to save you tomorrow
