Hi everyone! This will no doubt end up just my thread lol .

Anyhow:

Introduction

Basically, I'm writing a novel called 'The Immortals'. The synopsis will get up here soon. I don't like the title, so I have been having other ideas. 'The Exile's Road' is the trilogy, and represents an Exile and all the problems he faces, and how he ends up saving the world, even thought they believe they don't want his help...

Problems

Well basically, it's the old Writer's block... It's come back to haunt me!

So I did a random story called 'Milkman' to try and help me, but with all the pressure at school, I just can't work on it...

I have worked out, that if I carry on at this pace, I will be lucky to complete the novel in two years!

In Easter, and the Summer Holidays I will be working flat out. I am aiming for 160000 words, or around 650 pages! But I can see that not happening...

Also, I fear that this novel has been 'done' before. Tolkien is great, but I don't want to be another copier of him, like Paolini...

Characters

Aedomir

He's the main character, and he's my favourite. This is our exile, but a lot of peoplea dislike him, claiming he is thick. But wouldn't you if

[spoiler]you had just woken up 1000 years in the future, where the world has been overthrown![/spoiler]

Seridon

He is helping Aedomir, and managed to get him out of the prison he was in. Many people like him, and he used to work for the assassins. Aedomir was convinced he came to kill him, but Seridon said the shadow had passed, and that he would help Aeomir as he is in his debt, for killing Aedomir's fellow exiles when 'the shadow' veiled across him.

Extract of the day:

Aedomir had come to the lake once, many a time ago. He didn’t want to know everything about the lake. Its mystery and its beauty only added to the splendour. Times had changed though, and there was no room for the past in these waters.

Once they reached the peninsula, they gathered some wood and lit a fire. Embracing warmth leapt high from its core, and filled the clearing with a blazing glow. Hunger; they both felt it. But what could they do? The lake, as Seridon had been quick to add, was not to be trifled with. Aedomir promised himself that he would find some food as soon as dawn broke.

By then, the swelling moon had risen into the cloudless sky. Twilight had passed, and a cool air had signalled the night; it would be a bitter one.
The two travellers sat by the fire, Seridon repeatedly refusing Aedomir’s offer to treat his wound. Instead, he would just gaze into the calm water, thinking.

Diary

20/1/08

How I would love to just buckle down and write 1000 words, but I got home at 4:30, where I had about 1 hours homework to do, about 1 hour o dow hat I want where I did this, then dinner than about 2 more hours but the block! I am also rewiting the first chapter, but I am telling mysef not to, before I finish the next couple of chapters!

Personally, I think that Vagabond is a cooler title than your current one.

lol, ye, title crisis! I think I will leave it for a while until I actually write the damn thing!
