My boring summer vacations have started. I guess I will join so I can evade my boredom, and get myself involved in worthwhile pursuit. I am very excited as I am writing my novel for the very first time. I got many ideas about my future novel, but the hardest part is actually to define a concrete plot.
I haven't given a thought to word limit. Anyway,
Count me in! ;)

I may do this, but not for a novel, instead 50,000 words of articles and essays (I'm working on breaking into the freelance buisness).

Okay, I'm in! I gather this is a little more flexible than Nanowrimo -- are we allowed to set a work goal for stuff we've already started? I'm about 2 pages into something that's been totally sidelined by the aforementioned Maths homework.

Okay, new round of elephants being shipped in now.

ultraviolet: :elephant:
Kibble: :elephant:
MadameX: :elephant: (I'm writing a few freelance articles too, they're really fun!)

@Kibble: Sure! There are not really rules here [this thread, not YWS], and you can always break them if you want.

Here's a tip if you still need a plot idea.

*Just talk with someone about your plot.
This tip really worked with me. I talked to mi madre about my plot idea, and it turned from a cool idea into an epic plot all in about 20 minutes. I think that just saying it out loud helped me to discover plot holes, and even ideas people tell you that you won't use can inspire ones you will. So talk. Talk here. Talk to your friends.
That's all I got.

That my love keeps writing again and again
And again"

*takes elephant* Ewww that's math. Math... Blegh. Anyways, I am still undecided on what exactly I am going to do. I think I'll either try to get 20,000+ words of my novel or 50,000 words of anything. I dunno. I guess I'll figure it out when July comes. The only problem is that for a week in July I will be on a trip, and won't have a lot of writing time. Hmmm...

I know what you mean. When I signed up for this I forgot that I have a week of camp in July, so I'm just going to try and do my best. Maybe I can get some writing done at camp with pen and paper, and type it up when I get back. Though I'm not sure I'll be able to resist editing. *sigh*

Man, I know what you mean, ultraviolet. I myself didn't realize it's going to be pretty late every night when I get back from work, and it's going to be kind of crazy writing 1613 coherent words at that point while still keeping up with reviews on YWS. >_< (Although, then again, considering how random and silly The Trouble with Titanium can be, maybe a little incoherence will be a good thing...). I managed NaNo in the midst of my crazy November IB homework streak, though, so I'm going to try. XDD

Good luck to all of us!

Really? It's July there? I still have three and a half more hours. :( I've been itching to start writing all day.

I'm going to do this, I know I'm joining a bit late, but yeah. :]

I think I'm going to set my goal for 25,000 because this is my first time, and I'm going on holiday for two weeks. xD

WAIT FOR ME!!

Ahem. oo"

Well, July's started for me (kinda cause I'm technically in the future). I should get hacking.

And ideally, I'm gonna write 80k.
