Hi everybody! I was wondering how many people on here like CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) like I do! I saw some heads in another thread...only like 3 people though.

I personally like Casting Crowns, Superchick, Switchfoot, Steven Curtis Chapman, dc Talk, Relient K, Newsboys...the list goes on and on.

Say your favorite band, favorite song and why if you can.

Love to hear from people! God Bless!

I don't know any of those bands but Sufjan Stevens is wonderful. :) You should check out his album Seven Swans. I don't exactly listen to Christian music, but he writes a lot about God!

Oh, I'm glad you listed some. I've been meaning to ask for recommendations from some people.

I like Far From Home (FFH) so far. ^^ *just got into this music genre*

This was the only music my parents let me listen to for years, so I know almost everyone in the genre.

Most of the ones that are listed are more of the softer types. Just because it's Christian doesn't mean it can't rock.

My personal favorites are Casting Crowns, Audio Adrenaline, dc Talk, Tobymac, Barlow Girl, Skillet, Family Force 5, Brandon Heath, and more.

I used to love Switchfoot about three or four years ago. Now, the primary Christian band I listen to is UnderOath. 777 for life!

I love Switchfoot, and I really hope their new album will come out soon. Should be around spring. This is Your Life is still one of my favorite songs.

Relient K is pretty good too, but their music tends to annoy me if I listen to them for too long. I've been taking a break for the last few months from them.

I saw those guys and Ruth live about a year ago, and they were all fantastic. For those of you who've never heard of Ruth, try to find the song Mr. Turner, which is awesome.

I used to listen to Superchick a few years back, but it was during a bad time in my life, and if I listen to them nowadays it brings shit back.

Also, I'm not even Christian, so music that is very obviously talking about the Christian god is kinda awkward, unless it's really ambiguous like Flyleaf.
I am the bones you couldn't break.

I like Skillet and Demon Hunter. Relient K isn't bad.

Flyleaf, Skillet, Reliant K, Switchfoot, Casting Crowns, 10th Avenue North, TFK. The list can go on and on if I try and think of all of the bands I like. :D
