Wow. I feel old too now. I was born late 80s so had a 90s childhood but cant remember many trends...never been that "trendy" I guess. I do remember:

Cabbage Patch kids
Rainbow Brite
Strawberry Shortcake
the Lion King,
Georgie Pie,
all those Disney movies, like Beauty and the Beast and so on when they first came out...
Labyrinth
Princess Di definitely. They made us have an assembly and sing Elton John songs **wrinkles nose**
Jucies were a craze at my school, but I think they're singularly an NZ thing...
My Little Pony
Care Bears
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Carmen San Diego (they used to have this at school - we would DIE to get a turn on a computer back then...OMG...memories! LOL)
Saddle Club
Sweet Valley Twins

I think that's about it. Gack. Hard to believe I'm almost 20 already O_O
Got a poem or short story you want me to critique?

There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way, and not to give others absurd maddening claims upon it. (C D Morley)

People? LiteBrite!! :D

And, to go with what bubbles said, cabbage patch kids and carmen sandiego were also amazing. I also remember that everyone read the Wayside School books when I was in thrid grade or something. I still love 'em. :)

Eh, I can't remember much. Furbies and a load of Disney movies. Wasn't it also around the time when bell bottom pants STOPPED being the trend?

Hm, not sure - from where I'm at, everyone seems to like them... still. Only know they're called 'flairs'. >.< I hate fashion.

so true, about the flairs, like that makes it high class as opposed to those totally 80s bell bottoms. ugh. i think there is a difference, however slight, between the size of a flair and the size of a bell bottom, but i might be delusional. *in background* 'might'...

The yoyo craze!

I remember when I was little my friend go this yoyo with such a long string that he couldn't actually use it unless he stood on the little bridge in the playground. Even I wondered at the time what the point of it was, but he said it was a good yoyo.

Tamagotchis! You couldn't go through a day without someone panicking because they needed to get to their tamagotchi and feed it before it died.

Playing Power Ranges! And everyone (I only played this with other girls) wanted to be the pick one!

CAPTAIN PLANET!!!! Everyone loves Captain Planet! When we played that everyone wanted to be the guy with the heart power thing.
Oh, you're angry! Click your pen.

When you knew Jessica Simpson as a real singer! :D

And yay! I remember starting up my computer with a start-up floppy disk and then putting a new floppy disk in it. Good times! :D
