EDIT:
The results are in!
Thanks so much everyone for your entries, you're all super artists and I had plenty to choose from! But the winner, whose logo will appear on all Blinking Cursor publications, the website and the social networking pages, and who will also receive either a £30 Amazon voucher or all of my YWS points (currently 16,007) is Prism180! Prism's logo is in the spoiler below, so congratulations, and thanks to everyone for participating!

----------

Blinking Cursor needs a new logo, since I’m not much good with graphic design and I’m sure there’s someone else out there who can do much better! So I’m holding a contest and the best logo will be used on all Blinking Cursor publications, as well as on the website and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The artist will be credited in every publication and on the website, and will also receive a £30 Amazon voucher (currently $47USD or €35). Or if you don't want to shop at Amazon, you'll get all of the points I have at the time of my decision. The deadline is 1st March 2011.

Requirements:

• I’m open to anything really, but obviously the logo should have something to do with writing – pens, papers, little people writing, ink pots, etc. Use your imagination! Have a look at the website for inspiration: http://www.blinking-cursor.co.uk
• You can do it with Photoshop, draw by hand, take a photograph, use some other computer program, I don’t care as long as it looks great.
• The logo has to say “Blinking Cursor” on it somewhere (not Blinking Cursor Literary Magazine, just Blinking Cursor).
• Size should be fairly small – the current logo is 833 x 620 pixels, so anywhere around there is fine and it can be square or rectangular, that doesn’t matter.
• Send your entries (as many as you want) to blinkingcursor@ymail.com Please don't post them on here or PM them to me, as I don't want to go searching for them all!
• All images used must be your own. If you take any pictures from online or elsewhere that someone else created, I won't be able to use them.
• Any questions, post them here!
Matt.

I might, 'cuz I love doing this stuff. I'm helping lilymoore with some stuff, so if my schedule isn't cramped, I'll try something.

Just a question, could you have points as an alternative?

I'm so in! YES!
The sadness drains through me rather than skating over my skin. It travels through every cell to reach the ground. I filter it yet strangely enough, I keep what was pure and it is the dirt that leaves.

In! Very very in!
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

Please email me your entries so I have all of them in the same place!

Yes, if you don't want the Amazon voucher, I'll give you all the points I have at the time.

Also, I forgot to mention, but all of your entry must have been created by you because if you took pictures from anywhere else that someone else has created, for example online somewhere, I won't be allowed to use it.
Matt.
