I managed to take two layers off from the hammerstall of my musket. A hammerstall is basically the thing that slams down on the flint to ignite the powder and make a big boom. It got me between the webbing of your middle and forefinger. Owie! Next day, I followed up by a bloodblister. I had caught flesh under the socket of the bayonet as I was trying to affix it over the lug of the musket. It was a painful week.
Mah new waistcoat. 100% broadcoth wool, linen sewn inside with functional pockets. 10 pewter buttons fastened with waxed linen. In short, a pure period waistcoat tailored for the early 1770s.
