Not sure if this is where this one goes ... and if it doesn't belong here, I'm sure one of our wonderful admins will kindly move it.

But onto the point of this so far pointless thread.

I'm sure you've all heard of Facebook one way or another. If you're unfamiliar with it, here's the short-and-short of it. There's pages on Facebook that you can "become a fan" of. By becoming a fan, it is sort of like becoming a member in a world-wide club of people liking the same thing as you. They all range from favourite bands to "Join if you can lick your nose with your tongue", or, "I have fallen up the stairs". Anything and everything can be created into a Facebook fan group.

So, as I was scrolling my pages, I saw "I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what Barney really looked like!"

I was like, "Hm." Clicking on the page link, I saw that you had to 'become a fan' of the group to see the pictures. Knowing that earlier that evening I'd discovered you could basically 'un-fan' yourself, I clicked it, and clicked on the pictures tab.

It brought me to a page with a gallery that had a picture advising you to join the group and -- since I use Facebook in "English (Pirate) to make it more fun -- another picture book that said "Crew Member Graven Images" (Images from members, basically).

The gist of it was that people had posted pictures of themselves being silly, or "tagging" theirself as Barney himself or their friend's as Barney. Or badly photo-shopped pictures of the late Michael Jackson as Barney, or girls just trying to look pretty. The first picture with a real person was a girl.

Not being a creep, so please don't take me for a stalker, I noticed her eyes almost immediately. They were really nice eyes. I think most everyone who commented almost agreed that. Someone's first comment was "Stunning eyes there darling!".

Underneath that, another sour little guy posted, "Brown eyes can't be stunning."

So, up until now, I haven't really reached my point. But here I am! Brown-eyed, brown-haired, five-foot-six teenage girl. As average as they come, as far as I'm concerned. As much as I wish for those gorgeous pools of deep, ocean-blue eyes, or those exotic green or gray eyes, or even those unique hazel eyes that shift colour (mine used to, but now they are eternally brown, lightening only occasionally) this random comment from a random stranger hit home.

A large populus of the people in our world are average people with brown eyes. Comparable to poo, or dirt, or tree bark, brown eyes may not be from the most beautiful colour category in the world. But with us all being writers here, we can make every colour of eye sound beautiful. Brown can change with everyone, "... the warmest brown eyes I'd ever seen", "the deepest pools of brown eyes she'd ever lain eyes on, so mysterious yet amusing. Absolutely immersed in the intensity of them." Yes, I apologize for spelling mistakes and horrible lack-of writing. It's late, and my brain is low on functioning.

But this also makes me think back to a famil reunion. A relative couldn't remember who I was -- me, or my sister. We all look very alike, us women. So I told her my name and she says something along the lines of "Yes, I remember your eyes." I took that as a compliment.

The real point of this -- are brown eyes beautiful? Can brown eyes ever be beautiful? I sure think they are. Maybe it isn't the colour, but I like my eyes. They're my best feature. Maybe it's the shape of them or something. I'll have to be sure to show you some time.

What do you think? Are brown eyes beautiful, or not?

(sorry it's so long ... I got blabbing.)

Not being biased but brown eyes are really pretty.

The guy I used to like had liquidy brown eyes. Very pretty. Still are. :)

I've got very dark brown eyes; my favorite color of eyes is blue, but really any can be beautiful.

I love brown eyes! Any eye colo(u)r, really. I think it is what makes a person who they are.

Mine are hazel, think of a python-pattern, and that is what they look like. And no, I don't constrict people.

Usually, the eyes that you are born with are the ones that suit you. Using contact lenses that change your eye colo(u)r can suggest that you aren't contempt with yourself. :P
Or it can mean that you are an actor playing a role that for whatever reason, requires that the character have that colo(u)r of eyes.

I knew a guy with gorgeous brown eyes once. Though I don't think it was the colour so much as the way he would look at me. Those were intense eyes.

But sure, all colours can be beautiful.

Well. I have blue eyes, and I always wanted to have brown eyes. It might be because here where I live, pretty much everyone has blue eyes, apart from those who have green or brown eyes. :P But blue is such a common eye colour here and I would have wanted to have brown eyes when I was younger. Nowadays I'm content, though. But I still at first pay more attention to brown eyes than other coloured ones.

I like all eye colours though!

Anyone who doesn't find brown eyes beautiful needs to take a good long look at the breathtaking Shilpa Shetty. :D

So, first off, stop talking about dreamy boys with dreamy eyes. Um, actually, just joking, sounds wonderful.

Next, I think we all pretty well agree -- any eye colour is beautiful, so not just one may be biased against.

I think it's true though -- your eye colour is what suits you. Your real one. I don't think blue would suit me. Possibly hazel, since they used to change. Besides, when people have comment on having beautiful blue eyes, saying brown are boring, I think, "Well, yeah, sure blue eyes would be nice, but I think brown eyes add an air of mystery." But that's just me. I love my eyes. The person who said that needs to think twice! :)

Well, I have bluish-gray eyes, so I guess I'm a little biased. :) I personally don't pay that much attention to eye colors, but I guess any eye is pretty regardless of color. After all, have you ever met someone with ugly eyes?

I was just going to say this.

Seriously, I have yet to meet someone with ugly eyes. They might seem rather nondescript at first glance, but if you actually take the time to look at someone's eyes, you'd be hard-pressed to find an "ugly" color. In fact, anyone and everyone whose eyes I've taken the time to look at are actually quite beautiful, no matter what the color.

I have green eyes, but I think brown eyes are gorgeous, especially the really dark ones. They look so much deeper and warmer than other colors. My crush has brown eyes and they're one of my favorite things about him.

So yeah, brown eyes are awesome. :)

I have really dark brown eyes, so does my brother and so does my dad. I love them! But I do love all eye colors. Eyes are always the first thing I notice about a person.
