I have Hazel eyes, but when I'm tired, I have green. So they're pretty much a foresty green colour. But I love brown--they remind of chocolate :)

My eyes are nice, I s'pose. When I was younger, they were practically straight up gray, but as I get older, they get bluer. Now, they're almost completely blue, but you can still tell there's a bit of gray, and right around the outer and inner edges, they're a darker blue, and sometimes it looks like the irises have flecks of silver, maybe even white.

One pupil goes down, though, and the other is centered. I really hate it.

Mizzle wrote:Eye color is something that, I believe, sort of tells the personality of the person. That's just how I feel, though. Either way, all eyes are beautiful and they each have their own qualities. I myself am hazel-eyed. I love my eyes, because they sometimes seem to flicker and change colors. They aren't my BEST feature, and I don't get quite as much compliments on them as my brother does because of his deep, dark blue ones, because I get more compliments on my hair.
All colours are pretty.

Wow, that seems a bit extreme.

Not in my opinion, Aspiring. It's not that I find people with dark eyes automatically mean--it can be they are secretive, dark, moody. And in most cases, I have found that the color of eyes do indeed express their personality. But that's just me, and maybe I analyze too much, or a little less than I should. Either way, I don't believe this belief is extreme. It's faulty, and definitely not foolproof, but I've found it usually works.

Okay, Mizzle. Don't let me discredit your philosophy. :P Your imaginary friend thinks eye have problems? Is it Bruce? I doubt he's ever seen me considering I have never been out in the open ocean. Though, I have always wanted to. OK, to go with something relevent to this thread I have brown eyes that change shades depending on the lighting, and I am a very spontainous fellow. Hm, not sure if I can attribute my eye color to my personality, because I am quite a unique, imaginative guy who no one understands. :)

I basically love eyes.
My eyes are dark dark brown, almost black sometimes, and I used to hate them, I used to think they were ugly, and gross, and "comparable to poo" [I said that once. No joke.]

But after I while I realized that even though my eyes are plain ol' brown, I love them. Because I love eyes. They are the window to all emotion - whenever someone is lying about their feelings, the easiest way to tell is usually through their eyes. And that amazes me and enthralls me and I generally love it.

Eye expert, in da house!

Here are the stats:

Brown eyes are the most common eye color. They are caused by large amounts of melanin, a pigment found in eyes skin and hair.

The other most common eye colors are hazel, blue, and gray. Blue eyes are only rare in Aisan and most African countries, same for gray. Gray eyes are, statistically, not exotic.Gray eyes are defined as a light shade of blue, or a light blueish green. Often hazel eyes appear gray in certain light. Hazel eyes are defined as eyes that are a combination of green, brown, and/ or bluish gray, and may seem to shift between these colors. Hazel eyes are also common everywhere.

Blue and gray eyes are typically caused by low melanin.

Reason number one to be proud of brown eyes: you have more melanin than those blue-eyed people. Hahaha.

Rare eye color stats:

Black, amber, red, violet, green. Those are the rare colors. Violeta and red eyes are only caused by albinism or a mutation. You wouldn't really want them. Amber eyes are incredibly rare (Cullens!). One in five million chance. That's an educated guess.
True, pure, vibrant green eyes are very rare. 1-2% of the world's population have them, mostly in Nordic countries. Many, many people have a shade of green eyes that are really just a form of hazel.

Black eyes are the rarest of all. Most people who have "black" eyes really just have very dark brown.

Reason number two to be proud of brown eyes: you don't have a disease, and you're not a freak of nature.

Eye colors represent things, too!

Brown: wisdom, warmth
Blue: Sweetness
Green: Mischeviousness, sexiness
Red/Black: Evil
Hazel and gray fall under the categories of whatever color they're closest to.

Reason three: people'll think you're smart and warm.

Brown eyes are lovely. They have a complex pigment structure, however common. They sharpen the features, as they're dark, and make your eyes and the area around them look better than light-eyed people's might. It's like makeup without any. Be proud of your shade! It's not exactly like any other.

My eyes are the colour of murky dishwater~

Really, they're a green/blue/grey and seem to shift between the three depending on the light. It can be quite fun to play with, orange eye-shadows will make them look really blue, while purples make them look extra green.
please grant me my small wish; (love me to the marrow of my bones)

Although once (this has nothing to do with ugly eyes) I was in a play with a guy who had gold eyes. No joke. They were beautiful, and (lucky for me!) I got to stare into them for three minutes straight when he was giving me a lecture on...what was it? I think it might have been death ^_^ But yea. They were really flipping cool.

Well then, I guess you truly did get lost in his eyes, as you were lost during the conversation! ;P

Now, I have brown eyes, that only lighten depending on what I wear, etc. I like them. I wish I could have eyecolours otherwise -- just because I believe that with brown hair, I just look so average ... But then again, I guess I like them; That way, people can't truly understand what my eyes are saying ...!

I told some of my guyfriends that no one could see in to my soul, due to the fact that my eyes were poo brown ... :P

But, actually, despite what I've said about wishing I had differently coloured eyes, I love them. I wish they were the first thing people noticed, but unfortunately, I don't think that's what is the case ... I love the shape of them, etc. They're almost surrounded by that same navy blue ring, as everyone else, but are a relatively even brown throughout ... Hm. I think that with our being writers, we seem to have a different appreciation for a person's eyes! lol

However, with all that said, the most beautiful eyes I think that I've ever seen as of yet, are Sharbat Gula's. They're just so beautiful ... they absolutely suit her!

But, I must say, one of the definite things I've noticed with guys that I liked are their eyes ... For sure.

I once saw this family at an amusement park. All four children had intensely golden eyes. I wanted to take a picture so badly, but I had no camera. D:

My eyes are a burnt-orange color, though it depends upon the lighting. In dim/fluorescent lighting, they look brown to golden-brown, but in natural light, or when my pupils are dilated, you can really see how orange my eyes are. I've been told they darken and light according to my mood as well.

I really like my eyes, if you can't tell.

As for people with black eyes, my mother has black eyes. She claims they're brown, but they're black.

I don't know what the deal has been but as of late, my eyes have been the one thing that everyone always seems to notice. They've shifted from being a very brown hazel to a very green hazel. I went and stared at them just now actually (I know I'm a dork like that) and you can really tell that running in a ring around my eyes, it's dark green. And then in the center, it's a definite olive green that I've really come to love.

I remember my best friend giving me guff when we went out on a double date a a long while back. Me and my date (my Irishman) were on one side of the table and she and her boyfriend on the other. She and her boyfriend are both blond and very blue eyed and Irish and I are both dark haired and dark eyed. I think that was the first time I liked my brown eyes a lot more.

Last night, though, I noticed how blue the guy I'm semi-seeing right now's eyes are. Us hanging out means a lot of time in his car at midnight but with my parents gone, he came over and I finally had a chance to really look at his eyes and he has these stunning icy blue eyes. They're really bright and they remind me of him a lot (vibrant and eye catching yet still very withdrawn), something I really love about eyes.

But as to whether or not brown eyes are beautiful.
Of course they are. All eyes are beautiful in some way or another.

Personally, I've never found the color of eyes so important as the shape and they're actions are. It's the way that eyes smile (or if they do at all) that catches my attention.
I have green eyes that go hazel and kind of blu-ish at times; I've been told that I have really pretty eyes, but I think that's more because I'm a person that smiles a lot more than anything else. I dunno really. All I know is that all colors of eyes can be beautiful. :)
