Hi Matt! I'm Emily, Vyper, or whatever you want to call me. Before you can start posting your work, we have two rules that need to be followed. They are:
1. Keep the 2:1 review rule. That means that for every work that you post, we require that you review two other works before. It makes sure that everyone gets a review, and it also makes people more inclined to review your own.
2. Minimize the chatspeak. That means proper grammar, spelling, and capitalization. You can probably get away with a few abbreviations, like lol or MC (main character), but no kk, replacing 'for' with 4, stuff like that.
That's it for the rules! Well, you told us a bit about yourself, but could you tell us more? What do you like to write? And in which genre? What about favorite authors? Different manga series? I'm LaReina, but there are a variety of nicknames you could make. So you love Twilight? That's not a big surprise. Alot of people like twilight on here. If you visit the "Groups" header, you can probably check out an all-Twilight group.
Manga? What do you read? I'm more of an anime fan myself. There also is a manga/anime club.

Haha, I totally love Twilight and HArry Potter also. Eclipse and Breaking Dawn are really good books. So just a few rules: Don't use chatspeak, and if you use any dirty scenes of dirty language in your posts just rate the post. They don't ban you for them here. Just rate them, and keep your replies to others clean. If you find that you need any help with anything, let me know, I'll be happy to help. So, see ya round! ~Alyss
And a little more on rating your work: If you do, it'll show up on the front page for all to see unless rated R. R works have the f-word and/or graphic scenes.
So, the coloured names have not been explained yet. Here they are:
Blue- Greeters. It's our job to make sure you get the low-down on rules when you first join YWS. We also help with navigation questions, so feel free to bug us for those! Purple- Instructors. Their job is to go through your work with a fine-toothed comb and pretty much tear it to shreds. Go to them for a review. Light green- Jr. mods. They help the mods out by going through some boards. As them if you have any questions on some more advanced features on some forums. Green- Mods. They go through everything and keep the relations on YWS smooth. Again, they are the ones to ask for more advanced questions. Red- Admins. They keep the site up for us to use! The head admin (and creator of the site) is Nate, and Meshugenah is his assistant. Orange- Distinguished members. They're retired mods. Firestarter is a retired admin.

I see you read Harry Potter? I got bored with it ages ago; now, I mostly read whatever is on the set text list for English Literature! Some of it's good, some doesn't appeal to me as much.
Echoing the sentiments of everyone else here, please stick to the 2:1 rule. We like it that way. And no chatspeak! Unless in someplace non-literary like the Lounge etc.
What kind of stories do you write? I specialise in crime fiction myself, but I have recently discovered poetry! It's a really good form to try if you're in between big projects like myself. Do you have any hobbies or interests? Me, I enjoy cycling, learning languages and public speaking.
