The name's Cath, in real life and as a nickname for my penname. Cath Hale. Yep, just like John Hale from The Crucible, one of my favorite--and in my opinion, one of the most overlooked--characters ever. I'm an English lit major in college on the East Coast of the US, and I dabble in character-driven short stories usually, though occasionally I'll attempt (and unflaggingly fail) at writing a novel. I've been haunting YWS for the last few weeks and finally decided to dive in and make an account, so here I am!

Hehe welcome; I loved the Crucible when I read it, though admittedly that was a few years ago. And I'm majoring in English also, though I'll be a college freshman just this fall so I haven't exactly earned the title yet

But hey, 'grats on diving in; you did the same thing I did, haunting for a while and finally giving in. I've enjoyed it here, so I hope you do too!
