Welcome to YWS. I hope you're finding your way around alright. You might find reading this helpful while you're getting started, and there's also the Buddy System.
Nice to meet you to! I hope you love this site. I do. Noobies 4evah. Or at least until we're not. (I joined yesterday.)
You clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in: I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No! I am the one who knocks! -Walter White
I like to write mostly short stories, usually sci-fi, and poetry. I want to write a novel, but I always seem to get bored after a chapter. If you want to put up something for review, how do you do it?
@ClippedWings Go to the bottom of the piece you wish to review, there should be a little box that asks you "is this a review?" under the area where you type. Click yes and enter 250+ characters for your review.

Clipped, you're talking about posting a work? If so: if you look at the top of the screen, you'll see the black header bar with buttons like "Me", "Messages", etc; in order to post a work for review, you would go to the Publishing Center, the last button on the right. Then you'll be prompted to create a new folder (I believe?), and then you'll be able to create a new work.
Works also cost points, from 250 to 500 depending on how much is in the Green Room (with less than 2 reviews) -- you have 300 right now, so you can post one. To get points, you review others' works.
Hi! Welcome to YWS. Hopefully you find everything great, but if you need some help I'm here! Also, everybody else on here is extremely nice, so if you do need help just ask anyone and I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction!

Heyo! I love poetry and sci-fi stories, and I really like your username, so we should get along pretty well! I think I saw you drop into chat already. I had no idea you were a new member! Let me formally welcome you! not that anyone else already did that or anything.
Instead, he said, Brother! I know your hunger. To this, the Wolf answered, Lo!
